Marathon print run this weekend before Art-A-Whitl in Minneapolis…

This twin/alt-gender expansion of the first Panicdemic piece has been languishing for over a year — gaining traction like internalized dark thoughts. But now it’s finished; ready for a three-color print at 16x20-inch.

I also tweaked the original so it can be reprinted the same size and color technique.

Recently sold a digitally printed skateboard deck for the Drop-In Deck Show.

This was a ton of work, with flame spirit, two-headed stag, and several hand illustrations. The REASON I did this is to keep the design flexible. A skateboard is difficult to space. And now that this is in pieces, I can still use those pieces to re-balance it all as a regular screen-print poster, or sticker designs (maybe, a t-shirt … we’ll wait and see).

Multiple coelacanths clustered in this poster for the Paleo Art Show. Started with a pile of bananas. Moved on through sketch to print. Final layer of ink is silver, for no purposeful effect. Guess I just wanted to challenge myself.

Wrapping up some ink projects and moving to digital stage while getting back into biking shape, pushing through the three day city-wide art festival, and raising the foster void.

Been neglecting Tumblr as I work up my BlueSky account so I can drop instagram/meta like the fascist abiding sack of AI bloat that it’s become. Anyway…

New sketch; titled “all my wolves must starve”, (related to the ‘two wolves inside you’ fakelore). I will put this on top of the unfinished project pile.

Back printing at the studio… ‘The Star’ three transparent colors at 16x20-inch poster, run of 35 — 30 of them at sell quality. You can see my process involves transparent ink to blend two additional colors in the artwork.

It was a good show. The best quality/framed print sold, as did several more bagged prints at a merch table.

From pose, to sketch, to inking, to digital vector stage. And! I had an old flame-woman illustration in storage I hadn’t used yet. Some dramatic lighting and design touches and it’ll be … probably only a sticker design. But maybe it’ll be a screen poster. We’ll see about that later.

Another screen print done. Three colors on pink paper. The blue should been brighter and soaked into the non-white areas more, but that purple brought up the contrast and saved it all.

Registering the layers went great … after I got angry at the vacuum table and drove several large screws to hold everything in place.

…it’s been a long day… and that print studio isn’t very well lit at night.

More sketching; more ideation. The last three reveal just how sad my little scribbles start out as. I must label these with words to even remember what the hell they are. I don’t do nothing without reference.

Recent piece for “Brrrple” art show, where the main focus is the color purple (banning Vikings football art). I’ve got three days to get films and print this. Typical of my time management.
