Sorry if this has been asked before, but how do you go about the paneling process with your comics? Or how you plan out your comics in general

I just go with the flow, I decide what kind of shape the panel will have usually while drawing it but sometimes I decide it as late as when I’m inking over a sketch or adding the dialogue. I don’t really have a process since I’m an amateur

1. In my personal opinion based off my research of the subject, Lesis Carroll was an awkward pedophile in a time where things like that could be easily swept under the rug. I don’t think he was a practicing pedophile or anything but his relationship with little girls was just not right

2. I enjoy interpretations of Alice that use the above to deconstruct Carroll’s work. I think there is much value in this. Especially since Carroll’s pedophilic view of womanhood seeps into the story itself quite subtlety (such as the portrayal of the elder female villains). A Queen of Hearts portrayal that really stuck with me was Alice: Madness Returns for how it portrays the Queen’s tyrannical nature as Alice’s inner self and also her sister attempting to protect her in a twisted way… And the upcoming Habromania is also using the stereotypes of the old matron the Queen of Hearts had instead to tell the tale of a young girl being forced into the role… I’m very interested in that.

I really love your art and your Makima's so much but I'm also deadly afraid of interacting with you because I'm the type of person you'd probably dislike (based on things you've said before) but I just really want you to know how much your work means to me and how inspired I am by you, thank you, please make weird and unsettling stuff forever, especially of Makima.

Im sorry if ive caused you any anxiety over that! Theres not anything wrong with knowing two people wouldn’t get along… it doesnt mean you cant agree with my interpretation of Makima. If you dont want to approach me thats alright, but I want to say I dont think id *hate* you right off the bat… I dont really do that with anyone, only overtly malicious people … so dont be so hard on yourself!

the akiangel person again, sorry i wasnt more specific, do you still hate the fans or do you think theyve improved over the years? i recently rejoined the fandom and saw a pretty big difference, i also thought you stopped shipping them seeing how you reacted to the fans back then

Maybe because I moved away from the general fandom, but I just don’t pay attention to those fans anymore. I don’t really interact with chainsaw man fan art that’s not Reze or Makima focused, so I just don’t see them. So I can’t tell you if I personally believe they’ve improved. They probably have.

saw the ask about yoru and makima's reactions to their fusion so i also wanted to ask, how do you think aki and himeno would react to their fusion?

Actually, they’d get along fine. Himeno and Aki are both very mature and conversational people who had many friends. Himaki is chill yet extroverted enough whereas it would be very easy to just click, especially since Aki and Himeno are both more likely to get along with a Himeno-dominant fusion than a Aki-dominant fusion.

Oh, you fused the characters that had the least compatible personalities when smashed together (save for Denji and Reze, who now have the misery.). That's very cool.

Yeah, I tried to do something somewhat challenging. I wanted to create believable personalities off characters who didn’t really mesh outside of perhaps a shared dream.
