The Mystic Touch of the Crystal Ball

Every divination experience that I have ever had with a crystal ball has been touching to say the least. Modern people never stop to have a moment of peaceful contemplation, and maybe that's the real reason that clairvoyance is mocked these days. I have always found it touching, and in many ways it could be said that it unlocks a door into the subconscious that I never even knew was there before. Since quartz spheres interact with the sunlight so powerfully, I always make sure to keep it indoors away from full sunlight. A relatively dark room has always helped me to focus anyways, and a great deal of focus is needed to really allow the mind to be in the right state to actually make scrying work. True crystallomancy is a far cry from those ridiculous supernatural dares that children do. Instead, it is a powerful way to look into the future and receive real advice and wisdom. Even though legend is filled with numerous stories of people seeing their own death in a crystal ball or mirror, I've never even tried to tamper with that kind of thing. I look for serious advice about problems, and work with the clues that I am given within the confines of that clear glass. Sometimes the images that I've seen have been deeply confusing, but that only reaffirms my faith in the crystal ball because I know that it allows me to grow more comfortable in the way that I interpret the imagery.

It's in the Cards

What I needed most was an objective opinion. Weary of conflicting advice from friends, a roadside sign beckoned me to stop. “Cartomancy—what is that”? I entered and was welcomed to have a seat. “Cartomancy is the art of reading cards,” she said as she dealt three cards—past, present, and future. “Eight of Clubs. You were recently laid off from a job you’ve had a long time?” “Yes.” “Nine of Diamonds. You’re restless, and you seek direction?” “Yes.” “Four of Hearts. I see a journey in your future. With risk comes reward; it’s time for a clean start. Now that you have your answer, what was the question?” she asked. “Should I move to a new city.” I don’t know if it was the lady who dealt the cards or the cards themselves, but my foray into cartomancy left me feeling that I could move in the direction I was already leaning; I just needed an unbiased assurance!

Am I psychic?

My girlfriend called me. She said "We have to talk." It seemed to be urgent. She was not very chatty, when we took a walk in the park. Suddenly she said: "Listen. You are a very nice guy, but ..." In that moment, I knew, she wanted to break up with me. And that was indeed what she did: breaking up with me. Now I'm asking myself.: Am I psychic?

Finding Her

The young man entered the tent with a mind divided by curiosity and skepticism. He'd never really believed in this sort of divination thing. But then, he'd never been this lonely before, this desperate. The tent was dark and smoky inside, and it took a moment for his eyes to adjust to the dim, fitful candlelight. It took even longer to realize the dark figure on the floor before him was a person. Suddenly the person shifted, looking up into his eyes. "Come, sit," said a thin, reedy woman's voice. You're here for her, yes?" "Her?" he asked. "The answer to your loneliness, the bandage for your pain..." the old woman replied. The young man swallowed. How could she know that? Before he could ask more, she gestured at a pillow on the floor before her. He sat. The woman procured a medium sized ball from a pouch on her belt and brought it up before her, rotating it to examine all sides. The ball seemed at first to be solid and unremarkable, but as the candlelight flickered he though he saw shapes forming in the divination crystal. The woman spoke, "I see... a house. Your house. She's there, walking by... with her dog." The man wanted to ask how she knew what his house looked like, but instead he asked, "When?" "Soon. Very soon! Hurry, you must go now, you will not get another chance. Go!" Without another word, the young man rushed back to his home to meet his future.
