THE SIMPLY CO.
http://thesimplyco.com "Here at The Simply Co. we strive to make the most sustainable cleaning products ever. All of our ingredients will ALWAYS be listed on our packaging. On top of that, with every single decision we make we will consider the health of our homes, our bodies, and the environment. Why is The Simply Co. different from any other company? Because we question everything. We are not just going to make a “less bad” product with fewer toxic chemicals or kind of sustainable packaging, we are going to make products that are truly good."
Her trash fits inside a 4 liters jar: LAUREN SINGER
Lauren Singer has an Environmental Studies and she has always been interested in the environment, but made the conscious decision to live Zero Waste in 2012 when a fellow Environmental Studies classmate would bring lunch to class every week in a single use plastic bag, a disposable water bottle, and a plastic takeout container. She said "I would sit there and think, we are supposed to be the future of this planet and here we are with our trash, messing it up." She learned about Bea Johnson (https://zerowastehome.com), a woman in California who was producing little to no garbage. That is when she decided that she has to live like she loved the environment. At Trash is for Tossers (http://trashisfortossers.com), her blog, she documents her journey, proving that leading a zero waste lifestyle is simple, cost-effective, timely, fun and entirely possible for everyone and anyone. What brought my attention to her was the fact that she also has this great shop in NYC called The Package Free Shop (https://packagefreeshop.com) where she sells everything that we need to transition to a low waste lifestyle. "From toothbrushes to tote bags..."
Elliot Bastianon (http://www.elliotbastianon.com) is a furniture designer based in Canberra, Australia. He has a diverse material palette and attempts to extrapolate the most from everyday things around him; often combining materials in ways that he hopes will direct his practice down a path not often taken. For Bastianon, furniture isn’t just something utilitarian. It’s an apparatus of communication, a tool to deliver a message or encourage a different way of seeing the world. He created the Straight Lines furniture collection of a chair, sofa and a table. The collection is a beautiful modern combination of clean, straight lines of wood and round, plush and soft upholstery. In 2017, Bastianon and industrial designer René Linssen established Furnished Forever (https://www.furnishedforever.com.au), a furniture company with a focus on high volume commercial and residential applications with emphasis on Australian manufacturing.
Australian photographer Kate Ballis has toured Palm Springs with an infrared camera and coloured filters to produce these images, which show the muted desert city in lucid purple, pink and red tones. Melbourne-based Ballis created the Infra Realism series to offer alternative views of Palm Springs’ famed mid-20th century architecture, having captured its vistas many times previous. But it's also worth mentioning her amazing infrared shots in the Atacama Desert! They are beyond dreamy! Check out her work here: http://www.kateballis.com
YOSHI SODEOKA
I’ve always loved Yoshi Sodeoka because he is out of space; actually he is always in space, and out of this world! If you like insanity and colors, you should really check out his website: http://www.sodeoka.com I love art, I love psychedelic, I love music videos and he has them all! So much beauty and violence inside of them, i’s almost peaceful. Go ahead and have a look!
