Mediums

After much debate I’ve come to assign the various abilities of each Creator that comes into the multiverse, skills akin enough to magic but are in fact a manifestation of their creative energies that they may have at one point or another poured into this world. I guess it’s like a...’welcome to hell, thanks for the creativity here have this to help you survive’ sort of thing? I myself have found strange abilities in addition to the magic of ‘gun’, though I haven’t explored their full capacities as of yet.

While each Medium manifests itself specifically according to the Creator, they do share similar rules depending on which of the four ‘catagories’ they fall under. I will list them now.

Creation: Visual Arts (painting, photography, landscaping) Form: Crafts (pottery, sculpture, knitting) Emotion: Sound based arts (music, voice acting) Soul: Writing based arts (poetry, creative writing, etc)

Each of these skills can get a bit of overlap, but for the most part a Creator works with the medium that they feel the most confidence in. Creation works much like a certain artistic skel I’ve come across, only on a much smaller scale. They can create living things and small structores, but can’t create anything of too large a scale, and the complexity of the life they can make is dependent on their percieved skill level. Form works with the ‘background’, sort of ‘crafting the foundation’ of the world as it were. They can’t create anything living but they can affect the world around them in some large scale way. I’ve had the unfortunate experience of meeting the skill of Form firsthand when someone threw a wall of concrete in my face. Not fun. Emotion does what you would expect, and is the one that effects others’ creations the easiest and most often. Soul is my own Medium, and for the most part the extent of it seems to lie in my own ability to create a ‘false soul’ that allows me to exist normally in this world, as well as the ability to give a soul to inatimate objects. There are limits however, as I can’t create souls for other’s creations, though perhaps I can effect them in some way?

Either way, it is up to each creator to figure out the limits and abilities of their Medium, though for my own sake I’d much rather they not get too powerful, as dealing with this on top of magic weapons can be a royal pain in the ass.

It makes me wonder however....
