“I just think maybe you should bring your own toothbrush.”
When you sleep over is unsaid but understood.
Billy’s face scrunches as he steps out of the arcade with Steve and into the sunny afternoon in the parking lot, drawling, “And why would I do that?”
He’s unwrapping a piece of Bazooka gum he swiped from Dustin’s candy pile before leaving. The kid didn’t even notice, he was too busy watching Max play some game. Steve had noticed, though, and smacked him on his back because it was the only piece and he’d probably wanted one, too.
Steve gives him a look, his lip curling a little as he states plainly, “You use mine. It’s disgusting.”
“Is it? I know where your mouth’s been,” Billy grins as he pops the gum into his mouth, chewing with a smirk as Steve glares at him — but there’s a familiar heat in those dark eyes.
“See? That’s what I’m getting at, you’re so gross!” Steve scoffs, pushing past Billy and digging into his jacket pocket as he heads to the back of the arcade.
Billy, of course, follows him. Chews on his bubblegum and savours the taste as he leans against the building, watching his boyfriend light up a cigarette.
“You don’t usually complain about it,” Billy hums, giving his boy a once over, up and down, slowly. Like he’s remembering every time he’d been gross with Steve — spitting in his pretty boy’s pretty mouth, licking over his well-fucked hole after he’d cum in it, moaning when Steve would suck him off and let the pretty boy shove his own cum into his mouth after when they’d kiss.
Steve never complained then. Suddenly a toothbrush’s got his panties in a twist.
Steve’s face heats pink, his arm crossed over his chest while the other holds his cigarette up to his lips, sucking at the filter to delay his response because Billy’s right.
That’s how he sees it, anyway.
Finally, Steve exhales, and all he’s got is a petulant little, “There’s a limit.”
Billy grins again, steps into his boyfriend’s space and lifts his chin to look down at Steve, chewing his gum obnoxiously as he purrs, “Oh? Is that right?”
Steve nods silently, his eyes giving away just how much he doesn’t truly believe in his own argument — he just likes to bitch. Because he is a bitch.
And he likes to get Billy riled up.
Because he’s more than willing to be gross, if that’s what Steve wants. He’ll indulge him.
So, he grabs the front of Steve’s shirt in his fist and pulls him in, his other hand grabbing at Steve’s wrist with the cigarette, and kisses him.
He presses his lips to that wide Cupid’s bow for a moment before he’s pushing his tongue inside, groaning as Steve easily lets him, his tongue meeting Billy’s in a quick, wet slide, his mouth so hot and eager that it makes arousal pool in Billy’s stomach.
But, because he’s gross, he pulls his tongue back into his mouth just so he can push his chewed gum into Steve’s.
He pulls away with a grin and plucks the cigarette from Steve’s fingers as his boyfriend’s face scrunches in disgust, half-yelling, “Oh, yuck!”
Billy laughs as he takes a drag of the cigarette, his eyes lighting up with mirth as he watches Steve begin to chew the gum with a pout.
“See? I knew you were just bitching,” Billy hums, reaching around to give Steve’s ass a quick smack before stepping away from the wall, “You’re just as gross as I am, Harrington. You just won’t admit it.”
He gets maybe two steps away before Steve’s grabbing his shoulder and pushing him back against the wall, his mouth on Billy’s, his tongue and the gum all but thrusted back into his mouth.
With a groan, he drops the cigarette and lets Steve be gross.

people should be allowed to have low ambition, and also be able to feed a family on the salary of a cashier at a convenience store.
And! We need cashiers. And convenience stores. And I think it's kind of broken that society says people who want to do stuff like that have "low" ambition (not you OP, I get you're using it illustratively because that's what society labels said jobs) and don't deserve to live at the same standard as people with "high" ambitions.
If we need someone to do a job, that job is a role in the community and deserves not just a salary but cultural respect for the role.
"high" ambition jobs are all jobs that involve domineering and controlling others. "low" ambition jobs are all jobs that involve service to others. Have you noticed? Because I have noticed.
But serving others is actually more needed than controlling them.
