In this chapter we learn how cino and shoppi became friends. It was more like a business contract that deepened over time lol.
After they made a lot of profit by selling Zom's doodle, the gang is back at the Batra room. Cino invited Utsu to eat ramen with him but Utsu had a date and he left. Then he asked shoppi but he wants to go behind utsu since he came with an upset stomach that would ruin his date for sure. Shoppi wants to capture it on his cam. So he wore anti-recognition glasses and left.
Shaoron is busy practicing a new signature, zom wants to play a game, and Roboro wants to build muscles. Ton Ton invited him but cino changed his mind and decided to go home. On the way chanban chan appears in front of him. Chanban chan is one of picto's puppets. They ask cino what his ambition is.
He answers that he wants to work for our Batra and continuously improve its functions. But chanban chan tells him that it's not an ambition. Everyone else has one, like shao who wants to become popular, Roboro who wants to have muscles etc. Then we see a glimpse from his past. During the execution canon ball shoppi and cino spoke to each other.
Shoppi won the game and got promoted to rank 2. Cino who lost, praised him. He said that nothing is impossible to shoppi. Shoppi teased cino saying that he's impressed by how cino 'hit' the ball, that he actually has some talent. That irritated cino and he called shoppi a worm in his head. You know, because shoppi looks like a worm when he is sleeping in his bag. Cino thinks of himself. Cino Gauner is his full name and Gauner stands for fraud. We've already seen cino tricking bullies with poisoned soft drinks. Everyone makes fun of him for losing, no one trusts him and it's really hard to get someone to talk to him 🥺
Shoppi says that cino acts all clumsy in tests intentionally to fool his opponents. Cino is shocked that shoppi knows. shoppi makes clear that he wants to join cino in his pursuits like tricking students and making money. (Remember, he tricked Ton Ton by disguising as an old man and he gave fake information about karage and made money) Cino agrees though he is confused. Shoppi tells him that he'd take his camera with him to film what they do. Cino thinks that shoppi wants to make fun of him when his plan flops. So he imagines that he'd turn against shoppi later and the money will only belong to him.
Thus he leapt on and bumped into a senpai. It was Gruppen....
