I have been feeling quite blue for a long time. Today, first time in a LONG LONG TIME I felt a bit good. My friends dog was visiting us for past weekend, last night it went home, but today it came for us again. We have spent 2 hours this morning walking on ice and in the forest with no paths, just strugling to get forward in deep snow and I have to say that it wasn't nice all the time since lack of good physical condition, but when we get back to home I am feeling so good. A bit tired, cheeks super warm and hungry. I feel like I have actually managed to do something. First sensation was guilt, how can I be proud about something so simple, anyone can go outside for couple of hours and that is not big deal. But then came compassion towards myself, which is rare, and for ME this is an huge achievement and I am justified to have these emotions of succeeding and proudness!

Tiny House on Guemes Island, Washington

My husband and I built the tiny house in 2015, he’s a wood worker and I’m an illustrator. It’s located on our property where we live of 5 acres in the woods here on Guemes island (home to around 600 year round residents) we rent it on Airbnb so people can try out tiny living. 

We also decorated it and provide things inside of it to use (like cutting boards and ceramic mugs) made by artists and we have a book about all the items called our ‘tiny house featured makers" book. Guests really enjoy this as they can go buy any of these items they use and enjoy during their stay.
