Still breaks my heart how much they botched the changeling lore in MLP…

Like the changelings as a species are such an interesting concept, especially in how they are in large part presented as this exterior threat because of those racist ass ponies, and the best conclusion the show arrives at about them is that Queen Chrysalis was actually the primary corrupting influence on the changeling hive, all to forfeit their entire lore and characterisation in favour of them transforming into pukishly technicolour creatures that owe their redesign to the miracle of no longer being an Ontologically Evil species in the eyes of the ponies.

Level of Redemption of mlp fim villains

It's only my interpretation so be nice

Nightmare Moon (Luna) - Absolutely redeemable. She didn't do much damage as her "Night Eternal" isn't last for too long so 1000 years on the Moon was enough (even too much) pls girl just go to the therapy.

Discord - Redeemable. It's the creature of pure chaos of course he (they? It??) would do everything for his own entertainment because there's no one important to him enough to consider otherwise.

Flim and Flam - They're capitalists. Do I need say something here?

Trixie - All together she's redeemable if only not that season 3 episode when she imprisoned all of Ponyville in a jar.

Chrysalis - It Depends on you. Is she a caring queen that just wants better for her subjects and was forced by circumstances? Or she's a foe that don't supposed to exist, and not only takes more love than needed but also joyfully drying her victims of a life force until they not even a living being anymore?

King Sombra - Unredeemable. As much as everyone wants to hear otherwise but he did absolute damage to physical and mental state of the crystal ponies, purposefully killed their ruler and when he was banished he brought the whole Empire with him!!! No girl you can't fix him, if you want to redeem him - rewrite him entirely!

Sunset Shimmer - Redeemable. She is a perfect example of redemption arc in mlp but I wish it wasn't trough an Equestria Girls. Also you gonna jump me if I say otherwise so-

Sirens - Unredeemable? They knew what they doing and it was just to acquire more power and not for some other understandable reasons so yeah.

Tirek is a fucking terrorist. Go to Tartarus when you belong.

Starlight Glimmer - If she had at least some sort of punishment for her actions I'd say yes, but there's not. Also her villain backstory is stupid.

Storm King - Stupid and unredeemable. How this guy even manage to keep hippogriffs in fear for centuries!?

Tempest - Same as Starlight, she was helping with occupation of Equestria and they didn't even consider trow her in a jail for a bit? Also with how Storm King acts it's more likely that SHE'S the one who planned all thing. And it's just because no one wanted to play with her 🥺 how sad WHAT A BULLSHIT

Pony of Shadow - Redeemable? It's just Luna arc all over again.

Cozy Glow - a child. Absolutely redeemable and where are her parents!?

Grogar - We didn't actually see the guy in the show but I think he deserved whatever happened to him?

Discord - Given the events of G5 he shouldn't have been paroled and slapped on the wrist by Celestia. Bad idea.

Tirek - DEBATABLE. If Scorpan can get through to him without Sendak around to influence him and keep him FURTHER away from ponykind. It's plausible. However a restraining order against him and ponykind is in order. It's already bad enough centaurians are segregated now thanks to Tirek (and Sendak) himself.

Storm King - He's DEAD.

I never watched G5 so I don't count it in my ranking.

Tirek is not debatable because as you said he made his crimes everyone else's problem. And if he succeeded in drying all magic from ponies who would be next? Dragons? Hippogriffs? I highly doubt he would stop only at Equestria.

Storm King was alive on screen enough time for judging him and his actions.

Fair enough, although some would debate given his young centaurhood given how he was treated by his father whom never trusted him (and it's plausible that his mother feared him) and his mother whom favoured his gargoyle brother over him.

The only person he trusted as an authority figure was the hermit elder, Sendak whom taught him to drain magic from others and gave him the inspiration for power - up until he was apprehended and imprisoned by King Vorak (Tirek's father) whom alerted the princesses about it, but by then the damage was already done. Ever since Tirek invaded Equestria and was imprisoned, centaurs and ponies have remained segregated because of it.

It was all Tirek's FAULT. I can only assume that Scorpan tried to keep the peace after his brother ruined the relationship with centaurian, gargoyle, and ponykind, but again thanks to Tirek and Sendak, the damage was already done because Tirek couldn't let go of his lust for power - not to mention it was also shown that Tirek TURNED on his own former master once he had no use for him and Sendak suffered in prison.

Like you said, it was his own undoing, but the debate still remains if things had been different in Tirek's life if he had headed his father's advice and not listened to Sendak, but again, he chose Sendak over his father as his father did not trust him - much like how Anakin chose and favoured Palpatine over the Jedi Council as the Jedi Council (specifically Mace Windu) did not trust him and prevented him from becoming a Jedi Master.

He also refused to listen to his brother and ceast his attack on ponykind and was punished for it. He only blamed his brother for turning on him and never forgave him for it. (Although it can be debated that Scorpan disowned him and left him to rot in Tartarus and never once revisited him or left without saying goodbye.)

Whatever Tirek did was his own choice, yes, but whatever circumstance that lead him towards the path he chose, if things had been different, the debate on whether or not he could repent is still in the air. It won't repair the already broken relationship with centaurian and ponykind, but it will prolong the inevitable if the Princess Of Friendship TRULY wants to make peace with ALL equestrian species - even centaurians and gargoyles.
