Going to make a post for this since the rpfinder blogs rarely post my asks.

Hey, I’m looking for somebody to roleplay Baldur’s Gate 3 with me. I typically double up with ships (though if you just want to do my Tav with somebody that’s fine too!), and am not very picky with response length, though I do ask for more than just a sentence or two per response. If you can’t think of a response and need me to add onto my last one, let me know and I’ll do it!

I’m down to play just about anybody, but I could definitely play Lae’Zel, Karlach, or Gale the easiest I believe! (I will try to play Astarion the best I can if that’s what you’re looking for but I am still trying to get his speech patterns down).

I am 18+, so I ask that you be as well. Smut is a must for me, even if that’s not what the main plot of the rp is, I still enjoy having smut scenes. I am up for darker content too, I don’t have many limits so if there’s something more questionable you would like to do just ask— I don’t judge.

I am looking for

daily responses, and preferably more than just one or two responses a day. I have a lot of free time, so I’m looking for somebody else who does as well.

somebody who will communicate if they are busy, uncomfortable, bored of our current roleplay, or anything else!

someone who is willing to talk ooc and just share headcanons and other things and overall be friends outside of just the roleplays!

On The Hunt!

Currently looking for Baldurs Gate 3 Role Play! I'm 30F and wanting to do some fun stories with some non-Tav OCs I have created. It should be noted that NSFW is wanted but not required. Of course, I am happy to double up if needed. I prefer to write on Discord or in Google Docs if need be, but I can definitely use Tumblr if that is a must. Characters I can Play: - Karlach -Astarion -Gale (though very loosely, still working on improving him.)

Characters I am interested in: -Wyll -Astarion -Halsin -Karlach Additionally, I am happy to work out plots and ideas with anyone if you have something in mind. Just give a like to this post, and I'll make sure to try and reach out as promptly as possible!

"Why would I be disappointed?" She asked, holding his hand back as he took it into his own. Her fingers were soft and gentle, not trying to grab him but instead to return the soothing hold. "You are the first person I met that let me be, well, me. You might have a different temperament than most folks I've met. However, I'd like to remind you that I hardly have any personality like them. People change and shift and rarely stay the same. I won't ever judge you based on a fleeting mood, as long as you don't judge me on mine. We can both be just as we are together."

More than ever, Fiora wanted Astarion to understand that nothing would disappoint her about their marriage. She knew right from the start what it was; he had been clear as day on it. That was more than she had gotten out of any mortal man before. Not to mention that if he had not stepped up, she would marry a man as old as her father and still be expected to have a child with him. He had spared her a life of misery and all he asked of her was to play a part when she was needed. Being at his side for all of his ups and downs was the least she could do for him in return.

"How about this? Now that I know you know this whole story, would you like to discuss the characters with me? I mean, I love this book with all my heart, but I can't say that honestly if I don't also point out that it has just as many flaws. That, and my family never read what I did, so I never had anyone able to join me and judge the male lead and his very overzealous word choice in some of his declarations. I am happy to still read it more, and we can pause and discuss certain parts. That is if you'd still like to read with me."

A small, amused scoff escaped him but he didn't correct her - it wasn't she who he was afraid of disappointing, but himself. People always left him, so it was easier to make them leave before he grew attached. She had her heart in the right place now but as she said, 'people change and shift and rarely stay the same'. When will that which made him so fond of her turn sour? He was convinced it would be sooner than later, no matter what she claimed.

Astarion sighed a little, toying with her fingers absent-mindedly. Why couldn't he just enjoy the moment? Why did he have to go on and ruin everything so quickly for himself? He never could understand where the 'do now, worry later' mindset left to when it came to people he knew for more than a day. Was it because he... cared?

The vampire looked up at Fiora finally and shifted to lay on his side, his head propped up on his hand. "Do you mean 'you are the fulgent moonbeam that pierces the stygian abyss of my life?" He tangled his fingers with hers gently, adding to the theatrical manner, a smile slowly creeping up to his lips. "Or maybe, 'my heart pulsates in a rhythm that only chants your name." He would have pressed her hand to his chest but there was nothing beating there to emphasize the words.

At least, he was laughing again, even if only amused by his own performance. "We should do that, but I can't promise my comments won't ruin the book. I've had years to dissect it, even if I didn't want to think about all the nonsense inside."

Fiora found her smile slowly growing again, then fiddling grip on her hand somehow a nice comfort, even if it was for dramatic effect. The quotes that Astarion suggested brought small giggles from her lips and even an eye roll as she shook her head a little. She remembered that one scene far too easily. "Yes, those are the lines I am talking about."

"Also, you could never ruin this book for me. I might not have it memorized, but I know enough of it to still love it and occasionally roll my eyes at the word choice. Now, let's get back to it then." Fiora said with a grin.

The book was continued, the pair sitting side by side. She had made no move to pull away her hand, letting the fingers stay interlocked as she'd her lap hold the book and her free hand to turn the page. Though it had been unplanned, the young woman felt that she learned just a tiny bit more about her future husband.

Fiora hadn't meant to shift the mood in this way. In fact, she was surprised to see this side of Astarion. He seemed so...insecure. For a man who always carried himself with such bounding confidence it was an odd site. A tiny part of her also felt like she could relate to it as well.

"You didn't mislead me," She started, carefully crawling over and taking a seat beside him. "And I didn't mean to laugh I just...I'm having a lot of fun."

She fiddled with the pages in the book, making sure not to loose their spot this time as she did it. Her eyes glanced off to the side, wondering if she should say anything at all. However, she couldn't stop herself. Astarion hadn't exactly been lying about anything so far. Some things she just didn't need to know and she was fine with that. Still, the more they knew about each other the better things would get, right?

"I...I never got to do this at home." She admitted softly, cheeks going slightly pink as shame fluttered in her. "I didn't get to have...much of a childhood. My parents said I was very sick when I was young. I mean, I can't even remember anything before I was twelve so I...I can only imagine how bad it was. I didn't get to sit and read with my family or even really eat dinner with them until I was older than that so...So it's just really fun to get to do these kind of things now."

He could simply lean away from her, show his distaste, say something ironic, mock her... It would be just like always, whenever there was someone getting close to him. To say that it terrified him would be an understatement, the fact that Fiora moved in with him not helping the situation. Maybe he underestimated his own issues...

But as he listened to her, he couldn't help the familiar feeling of comradery and that they weren't so very different. He could hardly remember his life from before turning, and then he was treated like a child for two hundred years by Cazador, who told him what he could and couldn't do.

Astarion physically loosened up, though there was some sort of air of defeat around him. As if he considered going along with this a loss "Excuse me, I get prickly easily." He rubbed at his face and leaned back against the pillow. "It's just easier to prevent disappointment rather than to live it, so I always assume the worst about people."

He touched her hand, then reluctantly took it in his, as if he wanted to apologize without saying it out right. "Didn't have it happen with you yet, but it was just a matter of time... I hope you can look past those moods of mine."

Fiora had been trying to flip through pages to find their spot when Astarion spoke up. She looked at him curiously as he declared a page number before she flipped to it. Not only was it correct, but he then proceeded to quote it word for word without any hesitation. The awe and shock on her face were clear as he finished. The expression Astarion suddenly had showed he hadn't meant to do that.

There was a beat of a second where there was silence before a snort of a laugh left Fiora, a hand instantly smacking to her face as she caught herself. "No! I'm not laughing at you, I promise." She gasped, attempting to hide the humor in her eyes.

"Here, I thought I was being entertaining, and it's a book you clearly know well. Please tell me you didn't say anything so I didn't feel bad? I can pick something else if you want."

It was clear that she wasn't judging him on his memory of the word, more so finding it a little silly. If anything, Fiora just seemed entertained at the notion of a vampire memorizing books. He probably had plenty of time to do so.

The corners of Astarion's mouth drooped when Fiora started to laugh, hitting right in the center of his insecurities. Maybe they were silly, only showing how fragile his ego could be, but it didn't change the initial hurt. He sat up, turning his profile to her as he looked down, debating if he should just leave, even with the assurance Fiora gave.

"No, I just... like this one a lot." He said quietly, glancing at her briefly with a small grimace. "And no one ever read it to me before." Hells, he didn't remember anyone ever reading anything to him, aside from Cazador and his damned poetry.

The flash of hurt and anger gave way to guilt - that's why no one ever stuck around - he was insufferable, fragile, fake, rude, a liar... Astarion closed his eyes tightly and took a deep breath. He could still hear those words in Tav's voice.

"I didn't mean to mislead you..."

"Do I still need to brush you hair and feed you treats?" She joked back to the vampire as he made the cat comment.

The books were set gently on the floor before Fiora trotted off again. She returned again with as many pillows as she could carry. A maid appeared behind her as well with fresh tea, likely one of the ones summoned for cleaning. Then, the drink was set aside, and the maid started the fire as the young woman set out the pillows. Fiora quickly took up a pillow, turning to grab the book only to knock over the pile.

She gasped as the needed novel stumbled, and the book mark flew from the pages. "No! Our spot." She huffed, more upset at herself as she grabbed the book and tried to remember the page.

Astarion chuckled at the question but left it without an answer. He wouldn't mind either of those things, though he probably had a different idea of what a 'treat' was. He waited for her to settle down with everything, grabbing a pillow for himself and setting it under his head and upper back.

The information that they had lost their spot didn't worry him. "Page 121." He offered quickly, shifting a bit on the pillow.

"In a realm where even gods can die, you are my undying devotion." Astarion began dramatically without much thinking, pressing the back of his hand to his forehead. "Like the enduring power of an Eldritch rune, you're etched into the core of my being. Mortals and immortals alike quest for millennia to grasp a sliver of what we've unearthed in mere moments. As if penned by the Scribes of Candlekeep -" He extended his hand to Fiora theatrically. "- our love is an epic tale worthy of its own saga."

He kept his eyes on her, his hand dropping slowly. It was clear in the change of his expression that it dawned on him - he just gave away that he knew the book, and so well, too. He let out a small whine, wanting nothing more than to suffocate himself with a pillow.

It was a delicious spread as well. The chef really only cooked her food and then staff meals, so she always had wonderful meals. Back home, she could remember all the times her parents made her ear soup while others feasted. Trying to shrink her, no doubt. When she was finished, then young woman cleaned up her face and stood once more.

"Thank you for waiting, let's go read more."

Her smile was still there, bright and eager as she wandered over to a cord near the door and pulled it to summon some maids. They could clean up while she was with Astarion. She then walked over to the vampire and took up the books she had collected. "I'll take the books over first and then I'll get the pillows." She said kindly as she motioned for him to follow.

Astarion was more and more surprised by Fiora's constant smiling. She didn't have to pretend... The though that one might be so happy somehow didn't occur to him, even when he really couldn't point out any signs she wasn't being genuine. Why did he even care?

He followed her, stretching a bit on the way. "It's cozy here. Maybe you should redo my room." He covered a small yawn, induced by the stretches, before sitting down cross-legged in front of the fireplace. "Or maybe I should move in, save you the trouble." Of course, it was a joke, and was marked as such by one of his little smirks.

"I'm better than a cat - I don't leave fur, and I don't knock things off of counters."

She was glad to hear him agree to wait, but he also made an excellent point on comfort. Fiora had been sitting on the couch in the same spot for so long that she was sure her backside was numb. She wouldn't admit to Astarion, but a change of position was in order if she could focus on the reading at hand. The novel was gently set down to the side as she got up for dinner.

The maid was already leaving, having set the table with a simple but delicious meal. She didn't need a feat every day, nor did she need to waste her time going to the dining room and having all that effort put in for one plate. Fiora even informed staff that dinner should be brought to her room unless instructed otherwise. As she took a seat at the table, she even smiled at Astarion and motioned gently to the chair opposite of her, offering it should he be interested

"How about this," She started. "The library has an open floor concept near the fireplace...Why don't we lay on a bunch of pillows and read the rest of the book there?"

Astarion shook his head, not interested to stare at her while she ate, and instead browsed idly through the pile she had previously brought. "That sounds perfect." He smiled to one of the books, flipping through its pages. There was a copy of it hidden in the attic, the cover dented where his fingers so often rested, just like many, many others, now catching dust and covering in cobwebs.

They were a way for him to escape, even if just for a moment, to dream of what was taken away from him, in the sparse times Cazador didn't need him. His siblings might have been right - he was the favorite of the former master, but it did not come with any more love, or at least, affection. The stories, captured between the pages, were soothing in the moment, only to show how horrible his life was the moment he closed the book...

Lost in though, he remained silent, letting Fiora eat in peace.

Fiora carefully let the book rest in her lap, a hand moving to wave off the apology from Astarion as the maid started to push the cart towards a simple table set up near a window. "Don't apologize; I wasn't looking at the clock either. Besides, there is a reason it is my favorite book...This would not be the first time I almost missed a meal while reading it."

A playful grin took her lips before she turned and picked up another nearby bookmark to make sure she didn't lose the spot they were at. It was probably for the best that she take a break and east something. She was starting to notice that every time she got taken in by a story, she promptly lost all track of time, especially these days when she no longer had her parents hovering over her demanding her to do something at all hours of the day.

"I know you probably have many things to do, but if you are willing to wait I'm happy to continue reading with you." Fiora added, trying to hide the tiny bit of hopefulness she had.

She couldn't remember ever having such a calm moment with another person. No forced conversation or awkward silence. Astarion had been a very good listener as well, not once interrupting the flow of words. Honestly, if he asked of her, she'd read to him all night as well. After all, she still got to enjoy the book and now she had someone to share her own comments nad thoughts with.

Astarion was ready to say that she probably was growing tired of his company, and to excuse himself, but the offer was tempting. He could go on a hunt, human or otherwise, maybe take Virna for a run through the dark alleys of the city. Or he could stay and enjoy the peace of Fiora's room and the calming effect of her voice...

The hunt could wait - the night didn't even start properly yet.

"I will wait." Astarion agreed, trying to not sound too eager. "But I think we both could use a more comfortable spot. I'm getting a little stiff." A bed would be nice but he didn't want to intrude on her space, so he kept the idea to himself. "I can even take the carpet." He joked, massaging his neck a bit.

The story was full of comedy, chaos, and romance, but even as she started speaking out some of the more humorous scenes, she did not break or chuckle as much as she wanted.

The day started to pass as she continued to read, only pausing to take sips of tea when needed. She even took it upon herself to make certain voices, at least for the comedic characters. It was growing dark by the time anything interrupted her in her storytelling, a knock on her apartment door seeming to jolt the woman in the middle of a rather dramatic part of the romance. A mortal maid entered, pushing in a cart with refreshments and dinner.

"I've brought your dinner, milady." The woman said calmly as she bowed her head to the two currently sitting there.

Fiora looked over to a clock on the wall only to blink in surprise. "Oh gods...it's that late already?"

Astarion was entirely gone in the world of the book, sitting still as if he was a wax figure and not a living being. Or at least, as living as a vampire is. Fiora's voice painted the well-known to him characters and settings in a new light, gave them vibrancy. Sometimes, the corners of his mouth raised in a smile, soft and relaxed.

The knock on the door and the maid coming in, startled him out of his, almost, meditative state, and he straightened up as if he was caught doing something untoward.

"Huh?"

The ascendant glanced at the clock, realizing how late it was, and gave Fiora an apologetic look. "I am so sorry. I didn't realize you've been reading for so long. You should have chased me out of here earlier."

Fiora carefully let the book rest in her lap, a hand moving to wave off the apology from Astarion as the maid started to push the cart towards a simple table set up near a window. Hurrying into her library, Fiora gathered all her favorite romance novels. She wanted to ensure plenty of variety if her first choice differed from his taste. Not to mention, she was a terribly fast reader. Only time would tell how many stories she'd read to Astarion if he would listen. She returned to the sitting room with a little less rush, as the stack of books in her arms was undoubtedly significant. It was placed gently on the coffee table, her smile still in place as she took it from the top. "Alright, this is my favorite, but I brought others if this isn't your taste." Fiora said with a happy little shimmy of her shoulders as she sat back down again. She opened the book gently and the looked to Astarion, making sure he was all ears and ready to listen.

Astarion was surprised by the eagerness, wondering if he somehow influenced her without realizing it. He didn't want to use his powers on Fiora, though it was certainly tempting sometimes.

He adjusted in the chair when he heard her footsteps, but paused seeing the stack of books. A lot of the titles were familiar to him, even if he wouldn't admit it to anyone but Fiora. His eyes moved to see what she held in her hands after sitting down and he smiled, amused.

"This will do. I am not a peaky reader." He had read it a couple times and could cite the book from memory, but he wasn't going to tell her that. Besides, no one ever read it to him out loud, so it was sort of a new experience. He rested his head in his palm again and closed his eyes, ready to listen.

Maybe, he could come for this more often.

Upon seeing Astarion settle in, she began to read. Fiora's reading voice was far more reserved and balanced for someone who always seemed to have a tone or be sarcastic about others. The day started to pass as she continued to read, only pausing to take sips of tea when needed. She even took it upon herself to make certain voices, at least for the comedic characters. It was growing dark by the time anything interrupted her in her storytelling, a knock on her apartment door seeming to jolt the woman in the middle of a rather dramatic part of the romance. A mortal maid entered, pushing in a cart with refreshments and dinner.

"I've brought your dinner, milady." The woman said calmly as she bowed her head to the two currently sitting there.

Fiora looked over to a clock on the wall only to blink in surprise. "Oh gods...it's that late already?"

"I'll make a note to go visit her sometime," Fiora said with a slight nod of her head. Part of her was somewhat surprised that she would bring up the name of the previous order. Granted, she only heard it a few times in passing and the occasional story when she had helped redecorate. but she had always sensed that when it was spoken, everyone, even new spawn, seemed to shudder at the mere thought of him. She also noticed that even as he was sitting, a strange tiredness came over Astarion.

Recollecting her book, she set it aside for just a second before she turned back to him. "I like romance as well, though I often got teased for it by my siblings. Apparently, romance isn't something a noble should consider, at least not early in life. Also, if you don't have much time to read for yourself...I could read you something."

She only offered the idea because it seemed Astarion wanted company. Fiora didn't mind the idea of him coming to visit, she also liked spending time with others. However, conversations always felt forced with other women...and Astarion didn't seem to have the patience for petty gossip. So, maybe a story shared would be a nice way to bond.

Astarion raised an eyebrow, then his expression brightened. "Would you?" The sudden spark, making him look even younger, was quickly gone and his shoulders slouched again. "I don't want to be a bother." He was already a bad company, why should she bend over backwards for him?

Something dark flashed in his eyes when the thought was crushed under his ego - of course, she should! He was the vampire ascendant, the most influential and powerful person in Baldur's Gate and in the area. The life of everyone was hanging on a thin thread of his whim.

And then it was gone again, the internal monologue finished in mere moments. A soft smile returned to his face and he motioned vaguely towards Fiora.

"If you would be so kind."

Is Astarion thought that Fiora's smile couldn't get any brighter, he would be mistaken. Her grin widened as he confirmed his interest in listening to a book, the young woman instantly hopping out of her seat. "I'll go get one!"

Hurrying into her library, Fiora gathered all her favorite romance novels. She wanted to ensure plenty of variety if her first choice differed from his taste. Not to mention, she was a terribly fast reader. Only time would tell how many stories she'd read to Astarion if he would listen. She returned to the sitting room with a little less rush, as the stack of books in her arms was undoubtedly significant. It was placed gently on the coffee table, her smile still in place as she took it from the top. "Alright, this is my favorite, but I brought others if this isn't your taste." Fiora said with a happy little shimmy of her shoulders as she sat back down again. She opened the book gently and the looked to Astarion, making sure he was all ears and ready to listen.

Fiora could only feel for Astarion. She understood his pain all too well. If not being dragged to parties, she had been toured around estates and dragged into meaningless conversations. It was thanks to him that she could temporarily escape it. Though, at the price of his own peace. As he took a seat, she returned to her own chair and refreshed her cup of tea instead. She glanced to the book she set down and smiled, picking it up again.

"Ah, it's a horror story. I suppose it's an odd thing to laugh at, but my least favorite character just died, and it was hysterical. However, I must admit this one drags a little. I was going to plan a trip to get something newer to read." She answered him, even casually offering the book to him from across the coffee table between them.

"Ask Shia. She won't make a fuss about it as long as it's not something more scientific. Cazador loved both prose and poetry from all corners of the realm, so you should find something suitable." Astarion shrugged, turning the book in his hands idly, not really interested in it. He had enough horrors in his life and such stories just felt pretentious.

He felt tired, and even if he didn't have to sleep, that's all he really wanted at the moment. Or at least, to not be bothered for a while as he was resting his eyes. Maybe he shouldn't have come to visit in this state, but at the same time... Astarion came seeking some connection, something warm, and tender, and not necessarily intimate. Which now seemed like a stupid idea, given their agreement - it wouldn't do if she took it the wrong way.

Astarion rubbed his eyes, setting the book back on the table. He didn't want to sit in silence either. "I am more a fan of romance, even if the clichés want to jump out of the pages." He smiled a little, resting his head on his hand. "But I don't remember when I actually sat down to read anything."

Fiora looked up from the knocking to see Astarion enter, a smile quickly grew on her lips. Sitting up, she marked her place in her book and set it aside and then folded her hands in her lap. "Well, it's hard not to when one is allowed to follow their whims." Her tone teased a little, the joy of her freedom clearly filling her head and expression.

However, she noticed an air of tiredness from the vampire, which seemed odd since they did not need sleep. No doubt it was the noble families picking away at him, everyone wanting a piece of this power pie. Standing up, she wandered over to him and motioned to the apartment. "Would you like a tour? I believe this is your very first visit to these rooms since I got my little hands on them. Though, you can also just sit to chat if you like...I can only imagine what you've had to deal with since the announcement. Maybe a cup of tea? Oh, I think one of my brothers sent some strawberry wine if you'd prefer."

Though this was his palace, these were her rooms, and she wanted him to be comfortable here. Even if he only came to instruct her or gossip. Though, it was very clear Fiora preferred to be comfortable in her long blue dress and white blouse compared to how Astarion had seen her when her parents dressed her. She hoped he'd feel the same way and seek comfort here as well.

"No tours, darling. My legs shouldn't hurt like they do. I had enough touring of every single shack with four walls they all call mansions." Of course, the standard of living among the noble houses was high, but some liked to think more of their houses than they were worth. It was clear to Astarion that the families drowning in debt, careless, or just down on their luck, wanted to find some business with him that they could benefit from.

"I don't mean to insult what you made here, of course." He waved his hand, stalking towards one of the armchairs. "I would rather sit and talk. Or just sit. Gods only know how many words I spoke in the last two days."

He plopped down, letting his head rest back. "Don't bother with tea, either. Better tell me what you were reading."
