The Constitution - A dog friendly pub, with plenty of friendly dogs! If you walk along the canal to get here, you can’t miss the giant mural hinting at the live music in their cellar bar.
There are good beers on tap, including Sambrook’s Wandle and Junction on our visit. The beer garden tops it off nicely, looking over the canal with plenty of sun on a sunny day.
The Colonel Fawcett - The only pub in the list that I’ve been to before. Despite some conflicting reviews on the Time Out website, I found it had a good selection of beers on tap, including a couple from London Fields Brewery, of which I enjoyed Love Not War. I also enjoyed their food. The beer garden is more enclosed, but well suited to eating in, when the weather permits.
The Old Eagle - Beyond the quirky decorations, there is a limited beer selection, although we found a friend in Butcombe's Matthew Pale Ale.
As well as some comfy seating at the back of the pub, there's a pleasant, well looked after beer garden.
The Abbey Tavern - A welcoming pub, this guy was keen to get us to try Hop Gun, which he had a hand in creating himself in collaboration with Late Knights Brewery. Smoky in flavour, I liked it!
The beer garden is amazing - the stairs at the back lead up to a roof terrace/shack, and here is the view back down. Also an outdoor telly for sports.
The Grafton - A very spacious pub with an excellent range of beers, including a selection from Camden Town Brewery, just down the road.
Camden Town Brewery Bar - You'll find this little bar right underneath the arches of the train line. They were promoting their new collaboration with Adnams - South Town - from an outdoor bar. It's a good beer, darker and richer than their usual offerings.
Tapping the Admiral - Charming pub, good beer, and a cat called Nelson.
The Oxford - At this point in the crawl, our thoughts turned more to food. Most of us went for the ribs, a very tasty slab of meat off the bone, washed down with a pint of "The Oxford" of course.
The Pineapple - Clearly a local favourite. Near the station though tucked away on a quiet street corner, it was rather busy, but certainly had it's charm.
