I’m also going to add that I *despise* Ryan Reaves. I despise the team he plays for but I really hope VGK continues to stand behind him and doesn’t bow to the LVPD because no matter how much I hate him on the ice he deserves to play for an organization that will support him as a black player and he deserves to play for a city that doesn’t think they can just shoot him for funsies. if anyone’s wondering what this is about, documents were recently leaked showing the government here are monitoring hozier’s social media (and some other public figures’) because of his speaking out against direct provision, a system that was intended to clothe and shelter asylum seekers while their applications were processed but has turned into a sort of purgatory where people can end up for years, stuck in not-great conditions and unable to properly start their lives here in ireland. there’s also a lot of controversy over the spread of covid in direct provision facilties, including a huge outbreak here in bray

Just so you know.... it’s incredibly difficult to change the law... you have to go through the courts — protests, social media posts don’t help. I would agree you are being overly critical of Vince Dunn. It doesn’t matter if he makes a statement or doesn’t. No statement was ever going to be good enough for you.
