{ stefan }â:
Over the course of the weeks that he worked with Kallista on what he thought to himself as an experiment to know the future, she had a few visions but not many â and nothing which really blew his mind. While he had expected a lot more by this time from her, the thing about Stefan was that he did not mind slow progress. He didnât not mind waiting when he knew the potential was there. They simply had to find a way to tap into it, and he with his life going haywire, this was a great distraction for him. âYou have to try, Kalli.â he said in a soothing tone, knowing the other was frustrated. His brows rose a little as he considered hinting to her that there was other things to try â he had been wondering about how to speed the process, but he also didnât want to scare her away. It would be so much easier if she believed that his intention wasnât to hurt her, only help. âThere are other things we could do to clear a mind block but they would be ââ he pretended to hesitate, âI want to figure this out without trying anything extreme, okay? I know you can do this.âÂ
Kallista felt almost desperate for answers. Having never had someone that was actively trying to help her, Stefanâs inquisitive questions were a welcomed difference from the stunning silence from her parents. She kept flipping the tarot cards, her eyes catching on the one she set down. âWell, thatâs a sign if I needed one.â She held up the one that had caught her eye: the reversed fool. âRisk-taking.â Kallista uncrossed her legs and let them drop to the floor as she looked up at the other, her head leaning back enough to look at him. âObviously I need to take some risks if I want to figure this out, so if you have any ideas, please tell me, Stefan.â Sighing, Kallista let her head hang, staring at the deck of cards in her hands. âIâve tried everything and itâs just...itâs just out of my grasp no matter what--herbs, potions, meditation, tea--nothing is working. I donât know what to do.â
