A look into the past

Back in her youth, Twinkleshine was one of the more known and wealthy mares. She was magically gifted, and was undoubtfully beautiful. Her swirl pattern on her coat was a symbol of powerful magic and intuition. Unfortunately, Twinkle caught the eyes of quite a few stallions, more notably, a pegasus named Sky Stinger. Sky was one of the sporty and popular stallions in school, he was also known to be a huge player. Twinkle loved the attention Sky gave her, and the way he'd speak to her so sweetly. Twinkler couldn't help but genuinely grow to love him, he was just so sweet and nice to her. He was truly a gentlecolt.

Things were going so well for them, until shit hit the fan and Twinkle found out she was pregnant.  Even though Twinkle was wealthy, she knew her parents would never approve of this pregnancy, so she tried to seek help from Sky. Sky was not excited at all, in fact he showed very little care towards the news. Twinkle asked if he could keep the baby at his house and she'd pay for the food and supplies, since her parents wouldn't allow the foal to stay at her home.

"Please," Twinkle pleaded, "just for a little while until my parents become comfortable and okay with the foal moving in with me." There was a moment of silence from Sky. "I'm sorry, but how is this MY problem exactly?" Twinkleshine was stunned by this response. "Wh-what? Y-you're not gonna help m-me??" "Oh for Celestia SAKE Twinkle! I can't take care of a foal! If it were to stay at my house my mother would go ballistic. How do you know its even mine?" Twinkle began to cry, how could he treat her like this? "Sky you are the only stallion I have ever had sex with, it's yours." "Oh PLEASE, you really expect me to believe that? I know for a fact you've slept with other stallions, everyone knows you're just another prissy, wealthy floozy who gives it away for anyone who gives you the slightest amount of attention." Twinkle was frozen from fear, anger, and humiliation. All this time, Sky didn't truly love her, he just saw her as an object to use for his own desires. "I'm done here. I'm not gonna take care of a foal that probably isn't even mine. If you don't want it soo badly, than just get rid of it." "S-sky, there is nowhere for me t-to go to get a-an abor-" "AND THATS MY FUCKING PROBLEM? God damn, Twinkle, take no for a fucking answer already." The sudden movement of Sky's wings flaring up and him towering over her caused her whole body to tense up and her to flinch and cower towards the ground. "Stay away from me. I don't need no crazy ass mare ruining my reputation." Sky spat at her, and walked away from the devastated mare. 

Weeks passed and Twinkle's stomach began to grow more and more. After Sky left her, she searched for places where she could get an abortion, but unfortunately at the time, there was no place to go and it was illegal to get one. Twinkleshine stayed in her room depressed, scared, and hopeless. She gets a knock on her bedroom door, and when she answers, finds one of her close friends, Minuette. 

"Hey Twinkle, are you doing okay?" Minuette asks. She seemed very worried and concerned. "I-I'm fine. But there is something I think I should tell you." Twinkle was about to expose her pregnancy but was interrupted. "I know you're pregnant, Twinkle." Minuette said gently. "Sky has spread everywhere at school that you cheated on him and got knocked up and tried to force him to take care of the foal." Twinkle fell to the floor. She began to break down, Minuette hugged and comforted her. "I know it's his, Twinks, I know because you may be wealthy, but you're a hopeless romantic and I know you genuinely loved him." Minuette said softly. "I-I don't kn-know what I'm g-gonna d-do. I'm s-so scared, I can't be a mother, let alone by myself." Twinkle said as she sobbed into her friend's chest. "You won't be alone." Twinkle looked up confused. "Wh-what?" Minuette smiled softly at her friend. "You'll have three others helping you; Lyra, Lemon Hearts, and me." Twinkle's tears of fear and sadness became tears of pure joy and appreciation. Knowing she wasn't going to be alone in all this gave her so much comfort and lifted so much fear and anxiety off her shoulders.

Twinkleshine went through her entire pregnancy, and all three of her close friends were there for her the entire time. When Twinkle's due date came, all three of her friends were the first to see the foal. At first sight, Lemon, Lyra, and Minuette fell in love with the tiny, blue foal. They wanted nothing more than to watch her grow up and help raise her. 

"What should we name her??" Minuette asked excitedly. "I'm not sure, but it has to be a grand name to match her." Lyra said. "Whatever it is, it'll be perfect, for our little star shine." Lemon said softly and sweetly. 'Star shine' Echoed through Twinkleshine's head. "Yeah, our Starshine."

All about Vapor

So it was no secret that there was romantic tension between Sky Stinger and his best friend Vapor Trail. It'd been a few years since high school, and Sky has changed a lot, or though it seems.  Vapor and Sky get together a few years after the episode Top Bolt, and for awhile, the two seemed very in love and happy. Vapor was rather excited to get the news that she was pregnant, and so was Sky. The two seemed like the perfect couple, but unfortunately this wouldn't last long

As the months went by, Vapor's belly got bigger and bigger. Vapor was happy to see her progress, though Sky began to act differently as time went on. Since Vapor was very sensitive, she didn't want any sort of intimacy, even snuggling caused pain at times. She was worried that Sky would be upset about it, but he reminded her that he was fine and understood, he knew how hard pregnancy was since his old friend from high school got pregnant and he helped support her throughout it. After about three months of pregnancy, Sky began to become distant. Vapor would only see him maybe twice a day, to almost once a day. Some nights, after Vapor would head to bed, she could hear Sky and his friends outside of her room. Sometimes, though she isn't proud to admit it, Vapor would quietly listen to what Sky and his friends would talk about since Sky wasn't really around anymore and she just really wanted to hear what he's been doing. Vapor was disgusted when she heard Sky's friends making comments about her body and how she's gained so much and has become undesirable. She listened closely, hoping for Sky to defend her, but he only agreed. She heard him say how tired he was dealing with her and how she was so dependable on him. He even said that he began to see a young mare outside of work since Vapor couldn't satisfy him. Vapor began to cry after hearing this, and knew she had to confront him about it.

It was past 2 am and finally, Sky's friend's left. She heard him making some food in the kitchen, she knew it was time to confront him.  Vapor walked into the kitchen to see Sky fixing himself a sandwich. Sky saw her and got spooked since she's always been fast asleep when he came home. He could tell she had been crying and before he could ask, he was immediately cut off. "Vapor, what are you-" "How dare you. How dare you and your disgusting 'friends' talk about me in such ways. How could you even live with yourself agreeing to such things?" "Vapor I-" "Who's the other mare? Is she pregnant too?? Are you gonna pretend to care about her and as soon as she declines sex from you, you'll cheat on her too?" Sky's feathers fluffed up, he was incredibly offended by how Vapor was speaking to him with such disrespect. "Who the FUCK do you think you are? How fucking dare you talk to me like this? You really think it's fun dealing with this? Dealing with YOU? You're such a pain in the ass for me, every night I dread coming back to this place, knowing what I have to deal with." Vapor was caught off guard by the sudden aggression from Sky. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't shaking a little. Tears began to form in her eyes. "This is your foal, Sky. You said you wanted this, you said you were happy to become a father, you-you said you loved me, you-" "YOU REALLY THINK I WANTED THIS? ARE YOU FUCKING LOCO?" Sky went from only raising his voice, to know full on screaming at Vapor. Vapor began to sob, how could he be so cruel to her after everything? "G-get out." Vapor managed to say through sobs. "Excuse me?" "GET THE FUCK OUT. GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME. PACK YOUR SHIT AND GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!" Vapor screamed at Sky. "How fucking dare you, you crazy bitch." Sky spat at the mare. "Fine, I'll leave. I'm tired of you anyway, you're washed up and used." Sky said cruelly as he packed his belongings and left. Vapor cried heavily throughout the night, she was completely heartbroken and scared of what would become of her. 

It had been a month since Sky left, and since Vapor was now heavily pregnant, she was unable to work. She began to struggle just to pay for even a little food for herself. Vapor didn't even bother to take care of herself, she didn't have the energy for it. One rainy evening at the store, Vapor was walking back home from shopping for some groceries. As she was walking, she heard a familiar voice. Rainbow Dash, her old friend who helped her and Sky years ago during academy training. Rainbow looked different, she cut her main and could see slight age on her face.  "Vapor Trail? Is that really you?" Rainbow said with a smile on her face. "R-Rainbow Dash?" "Sorry if this sounds rude, but are you okay?" Rainbow asked with concern. "Y-yeah, I'm fine." Vapor tried to lie, she didn't want to tell Rainbow what she's been going through. "Vapor, don't lie to me please. You're not okay, I know you aren't." Rainbow looked at Vapor's stomach, and knew immediately. "You're pregnant. Who's the other parent? Why aren't they with you, helping you?" Rainbow asked, hearing this broke Vapor's very core and she broke down. Rainbow comforted her as she walked back to Vapor's apartment. After some time, Vapor told Rainbow everything that happened. The look on Rainbow's face as she processed it all, it went from sorrow, to disappointment, to pure rage and anger. Vapor could tell Rainbow wanted to say something, but decided not to. "Vapor, you can stay with me until you get back on your hooves." Rainbow said as she held Vapors hooves. Vapor was caught off guard by this. "No, no please I can't ask such a thing-" "You aren't asking, I'm offering." Rainbow smiled sincerely at the pregnant mare. Vapor cried in Rainbow's chest and repeatedly thanked her.

Vapor now stays with Rainbow in her home where she is properly taken care of. Rainbow will do anything for Vapor, she buys her tons of snacks and sweets, sweaters, pillows, anything she needs, Rainbow will get. Vapor got better, she began to take care of herself and learn to love herself again. She still thinks about Sky and how he's doing, but she tries not to mention him since Rainbow is very pissed with him. Even after the rough start, Vapor is happy to know her foal will grow up safely and that she won't be alone.
