I didn't have much money to spend on any gifts for Christmas in 2020, so I decided to do my version of "family portraits" for my friends and family. Here's one for a good friend of mine; her family with Totoro💓

I dream of cherry blossoms: hope, presence, rebirth, and the fallen cherry blossom petals. I’ve been marathoning some old animes and I’ve always loved when they’d reference their beautiful cherry blossoms and the festivals to honor them! I heavily reference an anime here, but it was a great study for me since I notice I draw very flat…aaaand I gotta stop! Stepping into those angles and trying out new techniques!

FAYAAAH POWAAAH! Superhero caricature of a friend of mine 😵 hope she likes it~

I've been on a superhero binge recently and have always wanted to try out comic book art style. I gave it a go with this one and whoa... waaaay harder than I thought it would be. I was just sooo indecisive with slapping in those solid black shapes and my timidness took over a lot 🤦🏻‍♀️ I definitely didn't nail it on this piece, but I think I did ok for my first try.
