Last night, two earthquakes hit the city of Caracas in Venezuela. So far, reports show a death toll of 164 people, with nearly a thousand injured. Multiple hospitals and health centers have begun taking in patients and continue to expand their capacity to serve everyone in the area, and Interim President Delcy Rodríguez has declared a State of Emergency.

If you are able, please consider donating to the Venezuela Humanitarian Fund. They dispense donations out to local organizations on the ground in Venezuela, and you can donate as little as 2 dollars. If you know of any local organizations who are able to take donations online, please share them.

I am lucky in that my friends and their families from and in Venezuela are okay, and my heart is with everyone affected by this disaster.

I really don't like sharing political stuff, but it's very important to bring light to moments like these cuz it's my country after all.

(As of 22 Feb '26) Schools are shut down, people are locked inside their houses, cars and stores are burnt, etc. It's like another culiacanazo for the people in Jalisco. Worst of all, heard in the news this morning from my president that the World Cup is still gonna take place... Just like in the '68 after the mass murder of students the president from back then insisted to continue the Olympic games (this is why I always tell people to read history and literature from back then).

Secondly, I wanted to put my grain of salt since a lot of people on this site are only talking about USA involvement. They don't really talk about what goes on within Mexico 'cause it's easy to just blame a big bad. Now, I'm not naïve about them (Plan Cóndor and United Fruits Company), but the truth is that the mexican goverment is deeeeeep in corruption from day 1 (narcoestado) so I'm not surprised shit goes down when they kill one of their bosses. Remember: narcos are not just Breaking Bad types of armed scary men gangs. They work closely with politicians, control the land ("cobro de piso"), terrorize the population, kill reporters and poison our youth with drugs. Near where I live they found a narco fosa, one of the stores is owned by a narco, and everytime I go out I gotta make sure no pick up truck slows down besides me.

But I want to tell everyone this: don't fight with your fellow citizen, man. All those people in power want us to fight their stupid wars, both physically and on cognitive levels (yes, internet arguments count: they warp your human kinships terribly). If you cannot help directly, day to day actions are what make the world a better place. Cultivate those core human values so that you can stand up to this reality with a strong spirit, because it's a wack time to be young. Stay safe and observant. As of 10-06-26: Near the stadium where the World Cup will take place, posters of disappeared people by political violence have been torn off to give tourists a better impression. Don't fall for the lies of our president; the Mexican people are struggling every day and the country's barely put together. Again, I'm not a fan of keyboard activism, but since this is a big event I consider this information to be crucial if you're visiting or supporting FIFA

Been awfully engrossed the last two days working on a custom Strangetown savefile with new neighbors. Like these were OC's that I turned into sims and figured it'd be fun to put it out there eventually (been wanting to draw them too ajaja). Also learned to make custom skins + witch default overlay :)

It's red cuz storytelling purposes, but we'll get there when we get there. And if I ever learn to make custom meshes, I rly wanna make clothes, but for now I'll settle with recolors (do share any mesh tutorials you got tho).
