♡༉ »»» yandere sidekick who isn't used to people paying attention to him... he's just a sidekick, after all, why would anyone ever think about him when the hero is right there?
it's not something that's ever bothered him. he saves people because it's what's right, he doesn't care about the fame and glory. the hero handles the spotlight way better than him, he's content with his role as a sidekick. he doesn't need anything more.
but then he saves you from some falling debris during a massive fight in the city, and you looked at him like you'd seen him. you were clinging onto him for dear life, refusing to let go even after he'd taken you a safe distance away from the danger.
you're shaking like a leaf, tears streaming down your face as you thank him over and over again. it was nothing special, and after reassuring you that you were fine, he left to help other civilians.
♡༉ »»» yandere sidekick who, for some reason, can't get you out of his head. it's not the first time he's been thanked before, and it certainly won't be the last, but for some reason, your gratitude is sticking with him.
it's confusing, but it's not something he should be worrying too much about. you were one of many, so he'd never see you again. at least, that's what he thought. but another attack on the city had you falling into his arms, quite literally.
he cracked a lame joke, one that he wanted to kick himself for because wow, dude, not funny. horrible timing, too. but you laugh at the joke. you're shaking, scared, and clinging to him like he's you're saving grace (because... he is...? huh...), but you still laughed at his joke. you even joked back! that's like... not what he was expecting, honestly.
he takes you someplace safe, away from all the carnage the hero and villain were causing in their fight. he'd planned on leaving you, to hurry back and help anyone else, but... for some reason, he found himself not wanting to leave.
♡༉ »»» yandere sidekick who stumbles over his words asking for your name. he commits it to memory the moment you tell him, repeating it over and over in his head as he tells you his. "kostas nikolaou, at your service," he had said with a dramatic bow, going as far as to press a kiss against the back of your hand. if he gets to hear you laugh like this again in the future, then he'll gladly make a fool of himself.
he takes you home that night, and his hero counterpart questions him on his disappearance the following day. kostas just smiles, his heart racing just at the thought of you. it had completely slipped his mind to ask for your number, but he knows where you live.
it... wouldn't be too awkward if he planned out the next time he could bump into you, right? just so he can get your number! and maybe take you out for some coffee, or dinner, or... whatever. it's not stalking, he just needs to figure out your schedule so he can run into you.
and when he decides to bump into you just outside of the bookstore a few blocks away from your apartment, you were delighted to see him. the smile you threw his way had him feeling lightheaded, and he'd nearly forgotten to ask for your number because of it.
♡༉ »»» yandere sidekick who texts you nonstop after getting your number. when he's not busy doing hero stuff, he's talking to you in some way. he asks all about you. your place of work, your favorite movies, places you like to go out to. anything you tell him, he's quick to write down in his notes app. kostas didn't want to forget anything.
it took him almost a month before he asked if you had a boyfriend. the question had been eating at him, and he was praying to the universe that you were single. his heart broke when you told him that you'd been in a happy relationship with some guy for almost a year now. he wanted to be happy for you, you had someone in your life who deeply loved you. but that someone wasn't him.
and yeah, maybe he's being dramatic, and maybe he's falling for you too quickly to be considered normal or healthy, but kostas didn't care. you're the first person in his life to see him, and not some dumb sidekick for a hero. he needs you, needs your gaze to chase after him, needs you to think about nobody but him.
♡༉ »»» yandere sidekick who starts thinking of ways to get you to break up with your boyfriend. he feels guilty for wanting to ruin your relationship, but you have to understand, it's for your own good! sure, you love your boyfriend, but he could never protect you like kostas can! what if somebody breaks into your apartment and he's not around to protect you? kostas is always around! he can protect you, your boyfriend can't.
he never goes through with any of the ideas his brain comes up with, though. kostas... isn't sure if he can just murder someone. his entire life revolves around saving lives, and protecting people. murder wasn't something he'd ever given much thought. at least, that's what he liked to tell himself, at least.
but the universe must've been on his side, because a villain ends up attacking a part of the city that your boyfriend just so happened to be at. kostas found him barely clinging to life, buried in rubble. he could hear you screaming for your boyfriend, somewhere just down the street. it had been a split second decision, but... kostas broke his neck.
the scream that came from you when you finally forced your way through the barricade set up was one kostas never wanted to hear again. he caught you when your legs gave out, shielding you from the corpse of your lover, whispering words of comfort despite being the one who had killed the man. you didn't need to know that.
♡༉ »»» yandere sidekick who refuses to leave your side after the death of your boyfriend. you were totally out of it, going through the motions of life without fully being present. it left you vulnerable, and there was no way kostas could leave you alone in such a state. he practically moves into your place, and you don't fight him on it.
he's more than happy to cool and clean for you, remembering all the things you've told him you liked and working extra hard to cook them to perfection. it takes a while before you start to be yourself again, and it starts off small. you laugh a little when he cracks a terrible joke, your gaze no longer as far off as it used to be.
kostas doesn't miss the way your gaze starts to linger. the way you sit a bit too close to him on the couch, and the way you take any excuse you can to touch him. he'd be lying if he said this wasn't his plan all along, because it was. it's wrong, but if it means you'll look at him the way you used to look at your boyfriend, then he doesn't care.
he's certain that with enough time, the feelings you have for him will become truly genuine. you won't even remember ever loving that boyfriend of yours, not with kostas around.
♡༉ »»» yandere sidekick who sneaks into your room early one morning after you'd left for work. he's been so patient, waiting for you to make a move. he knows you want him, he sees the way you stare when he walks around the place shirtless. the guilt of moving on kept you from doing anything, as annoying as it was. but kostas wouldn't force you.
still, he had needs. it'd been so long since he's done anything, and today was his breaking point. you had looked so pretty, sipping on some coffee while helping him make breakfast. he just couldn't stop staring at your lips. he wanted to kiss you. he wanted to know what it would feel like to have those lips wrapped around his dick.
that single thought had him laying in your bed, his face buried in your pillow, taking deep breaths as he fucked his fist. he imagined that you were the one touching him, your scent invading his senses as he groaned. he wonders how you'd react if you saw him like this, biting his lip until it was bleeding as he pictured your flustered expression.
kostas cums with your name on his tongue, breathing heavily. he's still hard, his body craving for more. just... one more round, and then he'll wash your sheets.

How did your life end up like this?
It's a question that has run through your mind almost every day since you first met Jiwoon, and one you've yet to find the answer to.
If you'd known that agreeing to star in a music video for some idol's comeback would lead to you being forced into a relationship with a murderer, you would've never become a model to begin with.
For whatever reason, Jiwoon had developed an odd attachment to you during the filming of the music video. You hadn't thought much of it, at first. Just a weird little crush that he'd get over when filming was finished, and you were no longer around.
But you were quick to learn that wasn't going to be the case.
Whenever Jiwoon wants something, he's hellbent and determined on getting it, by any means necessary.
So really, you shouldn't have been shocked when he murdered your manager on the final day of shooting.
But you were. You screamed when you discovered the body, mangled beyond recognition as you scrambled for your phone to call the police.
Jiwoon had stopped you before you could, though.
"Shh," He had whispered, his hand covering your mouth to prevent you from making any sounds as he gently pried your phone from your hand, hanging up the call before the operator could even get a word in, "Make any noise, and I'll make sure you can never speak again, yeah?"
The threat was enough for you to do whatever he said. You didn't want to die, and you knew that the only chance of survival was to just go along with whatever he had planned until a chance to escape presented itself.
But that never happened, and you've been trapped in his penthouse for… months now, you think. It's hard to keep track of time when the days begin to blur together.
You'd think that, given his status as a popular idol, he wouldn't be able to just keep you locked up like this. Surely, someone would drop by and find you eventually, right? But it never happened.
"No one ever visits." Had been Jiwoon's explanation when you cautiously asked one night. It was… sad. It felt horrible, feeling bad for the man, but that feeling of pity wasn't an easy thing to squash down, not when he had that distant look in his eyes. Like he was somewhere else entirely.
With no one coming to your rescue any time soon, your fate was practically sealed. Jiwoon never let you leave his penthouse, and you couldn't escape through the balcony. The drop was way too high to justify taking any risks, and just the thought alone had you feeling sick to your stomach.
The only thing you could do was just… get comfortable.
A task that was far easier said than done, because Jiwoon made it damn near impossible.
His sense of boundaries was pretty much nonexistent, you've learned. If he wanted attention, he was going to get it from you, even if you clearly weren't in the mood to entertain him. You could be watching some random movie, and he'd turn the TV off and throw himself in your lap and demand you pay attention to him.
There was this one time when he woke you up in the dead of night after finally getting home from… his late-night activities, and he had the audacity to act shocked when you got upset at him.
"What could possibly be more important than giving me attention?" He had asked, and you swear you would've strangled him if you knew it wouldn't get you killed.
Luckily for you, he had days where he preferred just existing with you, rather than needing to touch you in some way. Those days were the ones you preferred most, because you could put as much distance between the two of you, and he wouldn't even bat an eye.
But recently… he's been distant.
At first, you tried just brushing it off. He's a busy man; you can't expect him to be around all the time. You don't want him to be around all the time. But this just felt different. He wasn't trying to spend time with you anymore. He wasn't demanding attention from you.
He just… left you alone.
It shouldn't be bothering you like this. You should be jumping with joy, celebrating the fact that he seemingly was losing interest in you.
But really, it scared you more than anything. If he's starting to grow bored of you, then that means he'll probably get rid of you soon, right? You'd become a liability. A witness to his crimes, one that he couldn't risk letting go.
That thought alone was a terrifying one. You didn't want to die, not one bit. Even after all these months trapped in his hold, death was never an option you wanted.
It should've been the scariest thought. It wasn't.
For some reason, the thought of Jiwoon losing interest in you made you feel… upset. A weird heaviness weighed in your heart, and you didn't know what to do about it. Surely, you're not starting to love him, right? That would be insane.
He kidnapped you. He murdered your manager. He's murdered so many other people, and played you their screams when he wanted your input on how to incorporate them into his music. You couldn't possibly love a man like him!
The heaviness never went away, no matter how hard you tried to focus on other things. Jiwoon seemed completely oblivious to your distress, which just made you feel even worse, because the entire time you've been here, he always seemed to know exactly what you were feeling.
And now it's been almost a week since you've seen him, and you felt like you were going insane.
He just up and left in the middle of the night without telling you. No note for you to wake up to, and no telling when he'll be back. You knew where he was, at least. You didn't have access to a phone, but you saw him on one of those talk shows, and he mentioned being on tour.
Just a small little detail that would've been nice to know before he left.
It was the middle of the night when you heard the penthouse door beep before opening. You were curled up on the couch, watching some rerun of an old drama. You couldn't sleep, anxiety eating away at you. You needed to see Jiwoon. Needed to confirm for yourself whether or not you were going to die soon.
Your gaze follows him as he makes his way towards the kitchen. He seemed tired, understandably so. You were waiting patiently for him to at least glance your way, but he doesn't. He goes to the fridge, pulls out a bottle of water, and chugs at least half of it before putting it back.
"Jiwoon," You call out, voice a bit quiet. You can't remember the last time you'd spoken out loud, and you'd honestly forgotten what your voice sounded like.
The idol doesn't react. It's like he was purposefully ignoring you, leaving the kitchen and stepping toward the hallway that leads to his room. You could just let him go, and try again later. But there was this sinking feeling in your chest that if you didn't get him to talk tonight, then you'll never get another chance.
"Stop!" You hadn't meant to yell. Your voice cracked, and Jiwoon halts in his steps, his head turning back and his gaze finally meeting yours. You hate the feeling of relief that rushes through you, and you sit up a bit, trying to calm your rapidly beating heart as your mind rushes to piece together something that will make him stay.
All you can come up with is a pathetic, "Please don't leave me."
The silence stretches, and Jiwoon just stares at you. It feels like you're losing everything, and you want to scream and throw things at him. How dare he make you feel like this.
For a long moment, it doesn't seem like he's going to respond. You half expect him to just leave without a word. But much to your surprise—and relief—Jiwoon turns to face you fully.
"Why?" He asks.
One word. It's the first thing he's said to you in ages, and it has your heart racing like this is some stupid drama. God, it makes you feel so pathetic.
"Why…?" You echo, unsure of what his question could possibly mean.
Jiwoon's head cocks to the side, his expression devoid of any real emotion. You can't tell what he's thinking, and you hate it. You hate him.
"Why should I stay?"
And that… that was a stupid question, no?
He's the one who kidnapped you. He's the one who dragged you into his fucked up life. He's the one who clings to you, the one who forces his love upon you, the one who disregarded the fact that you wanted nothing to do with him. Everything is his fault, and yet he's asking you why he should stay. Like you're the villain, and he's the victim.
You don't even realize you're crying until you finally speak again, your words shaking as you choke on a sob, "I love you."
The confession hurts. It's not romantic. This is not the love story you pictured yourself going through. You love him, and you hate him.
But your words seem to do the trick, because Jiwoon smiles. It's like nothing ever happened, like he hadn't put you through emotional distress as he crosses the room and practically throws himself at you.
"해바라기," He coos, the affectionate nickname sending a shiver down your spine as his hands cup your cheeks, brushing away your tears. You used to hate it when he called you that, but now it has your heart racing in a way that makes you feel dizzy, "I love you, too."
His words break the dam, and you sob as you throw your arms around him, clinging to him, utterly terrified that he'd take it all back and push you away.
In the back of your mind, you realize that he'd done all of this on purpose. He grew distant, acted like he didn't care about you anymore, all to break you down. It makes you sick to your stomach, and you hate that you fell for it so easily.
But you can't deny it. In some sick and twisted way, you do love Jiwoon. And you hate that you do.
Seriously, how did your life end up like this?
MINA
post-fog, dark!yandere, survivor!reader, obsession, harm against reader, possessive behavior, minor taeyoung/reader, blood, stab wounds, reader death (temporary)
Life in the fog had been hell.
You're thrown into trial after trial with no moment of rest, save for the brief seconds at the campfire. You'd gotten used to it, even became known for being one of the better survivors because of your determination to live.
Newer killers don't faze you. Sure, it takes a few attempts to learn how they behave, and what atrocious powers the Entity gave them, but it was nothing big.
But that changed when Mina came around. She wasn't... new. Not necessarily. She behaved similarly to Jiwoon, with the knives and the bat, but... there was something odd about her. Taeyoung explained that she wasn't real. An artificial creation he'd made to be exactly like Jiwoon.
How hilarious that she ended up here. It didn't really matter, because you expected her to be like every other killer. But she wasn't.
No, Mina developed this weird obsession with you. It wasn't immediate, no. She had been obsessed with her creator, Taeyoung. She ignored you for the most part, until you got in the way of her getting her hands on Taeyoung.
You'd taken a hit for him, and it's like her whole world stopped. You had blood dripping from your head, your face contorted in pain. But you looked at her with nothing but pure malice, and it's like this switched flipped in her mind. She's been attached to you ever since, and you hate it. You hate her.
It's like she was hunting you down, because no matter how many trials you're forced through, it's almost always her. And you died every single time. Either by her hand or by the Entity.
Each time, without fail, before killing you, Mina will crouch down next to you and ask, "Do you love me?"
And every time, you say no. You'll never love her. It pisses her off, and you're in so much pain before ending up back at the campfire, but you refused to give her the satisfaction of submission. She's truly insane, if she thinks you'll ever fall in love with her.
You didn't think you'd ever actually fall in love with anyone here. Survival was your priority, and escaping the fog in general was your ultimate goal.
But... you've started to develop a bit of a soft spot for Taeyoung.
He's got this awkward charm to him, and he's fresh meat around here, so you felt this need to be his protector until he got the hang of things.
It's not love. Maybe a minor crush, at most, but you wouldn't call it love. Mina thought differently, because how else could things have ended up like this?
There were three generators left.
Vee and Gabe had been killed, and Taeyoung was one hook away from dying. You'd been left alone the entire trial, no matter how many times you tried to get Mina's attention. She'd look at you, and there'd be this cold rage in her gaze before she'd go after someone else.
This wasn't right. This was different. Something deep in the very core of your being tells you that something was wrong, something worse than the life you're currently living.
You're not sure you've ever felt this way in a trial before. Not even when you first ended up here. The dread settling in your chest is what urged you to look for Taeyoung. Maybe you can tell him to hide so that Mina will be forced to kill you, and he can get hatch.
You've done it before, for other survivors. You can do it again.
Except when you find Taeyoung, he's not alone. He's on the ground, with Mina on top of him.
Her weapon was thrown to the side, and she took to stabbing the poor man numerous times with her throwing blades. He's still alive, by some miracle, and you're calling out before you can even think to stop yourself.
Mina pauses just before she can stab him again, her head tilting up just a bit as those yellow eyes pierce into you. There's so much blood covering her skin, and it makes you sick to death wondering if Vee and Gabe had experienced this same treatment.
"여보," Mina's voice is shaking, a mix between rage and delight. Her hands are shaking, and there's this sick look of affection in her gaze that had nausea rising in your throat.
This isn't supposed to be happening, right? She's going off script. Trials aren't supposed to go this way.
But the Entity was doing nothing to stop her, and you just had this gut feeling that this wasn't going to end peacefully.
"Mina," Your own voice shakes, and her head cocks to the side just a bit at the sound of her name falling from your lips, "He's done nothing to you. Just... let him go, yeah?" You try to keep the desperation out of your words, but it's hard to hide as your gaze drops down to Taeyoung.
He's barely clinging on, at this point.
"Let him go?" Mina echoes, laughing like you'd told her some hilarious joke, "No. No, no, no, I can't do that!" She says in between giggles, before her expression drops into something far more serious, that anger returning to her gaze as she looks down at Taeyoung, "No... no, he wants to take you from me."
"No, he doesn't–"
"He want to keep you away from me, and I can't let him do that."
"Mina–"
"I have to kill him. If I kill him, then you can't love him. Even if it's only temporary, I'll kill him as many times as I need to. I won't let him take you away from–"
"I don't love him, I love you!"
Silence takes hold of the air between the two of you, save for Taeyoung's gasps for air as he bleeds out beneath Mina. She stares at you, eyes wide. You stare back, because you didn't even think before saying that.
You don't love Mina, you really don't. It had been a last-ditch effort to somehow save his life.
"...You do?" Mina asks, her voice so quiet and so hopeful. For a moment, you felt guilty for lying to her. You stomp that guilt down, reminding yourself that she's undeserving of any kindness. Not from you.
Still, you nod, "Yeah. I do. So... please... stop hurting him."
For a long moment, Mina doesn't say anything. She stares at you, and you can see her considering your words. Your heart beats in your chest, anxiety through the roof as you wait for some sort of response.
And then—
"Liar."
Mina slams the blade down into Taeyoung's chest, giving it one final twist for good measure before pulling it out as she stands up. Blood drips from it, and you stand there frozen as she approaches you.
Fear.
Genuine fear, that's what you're feeling in this moment. It's a feeling you were familiar with, but you've never felt it to this extreme.
You stumble back, but Mina's hand snatches your wrist before you can get far, and you can feel blood smearing on your skin as she pulls you close.
It's like everything moves in slow motion. There's a sudden searing pain in your body, and you look down just enough to see that Mina has stabbed the blade into your chest.
She lets go of your wrist, cupping your cheek instead as her thumb lovingly caresses just under your eye, nothing but pure affection in her gaze, even as she's stabbing you.
"Don't worry, you'll love me for real soon enough," She says, leaning forward until her lips are mere inches from yours, "We have all the time in the world."
Your vision fades, and when it clears, you're back at the campfire. This was far worse than you could've imagined, and you're at a loss on what you could possibly do to deal with this.
Really, you can only hope that the Entity takes pity on you and keeps you out of trials with Mina for a while.
hi!!! I wanted to ask if you were going to write more about Saros? just read your posts about him and hes stuck in my brain
I also had a question about him: do you think he'd start to care about similar things that reader does (like valuing life more, hobbies ect) or would just pretend to? Like being tethered to a human shifts his viewpoint since he's never really been around other people much
yes!! i do plan on writing about saros yup yup. i actually wanted to write a lil something for valentine's day for him and some of my other ocs but alas... i didn't... i'm gonna try cooking something up soon though trust trust
but to answer your question... i think he'd pretend for some things, and genuinely learn to enjoy others.
chances are, he won't grow to value life. you are the only person he cares about, so he values your life. but everyone else? someone could be bleeding out in front of him and he won't lift a finger to help, not unless you tell him to.
he'll pretend to care about others, if that's what you want. but you will always be his priority. his soul is bound to you, not them.
but like... hobbies... i can definitely see him getting into arts and crafts. namely crochet and knitting. you probably encourage him to take up the hobby during a slow shift at the tavern, just to get him to shut up about being bored.
most of the stuff he makes is catered towards you and your interests, though. he makes you a scarf when it gets cold outside, and little crocheted animals to offer as little gifts.
he definitely made a miniature crochet version of you, too...
blinking... omg saros mentioned... i love saros.... here you go anon pls take some sweet saros content... a prequel to his introduction post just for you mmhm mmhm
warnings: gn!reader, not proofread. yandere content, stalking, possessive behavior, brief mention of reader dying, brief suggestive content, obsession, use of 'master'.

Being a summon was a lonely life. There was little contact with mortals unless they were summoners, and the contact between other summons was somehow worse. It's not an easy life, not at all. Which is why Saros should consider himself lucky that he's not a summon, huh?
He's a god. Gods can't be summoned unless they choose to be, and why would he ever let some weak little thing order him around like some servant? The thought alone made him laugh.
But the life of a god was just as lonely as the life of a summon. Perhaps more so, because gods rarely found the need to interact with each other. Too many wars tend to come from those interactions, and Saros isn't the fighting type.
His domain was... boring, too. He hadn't put much effort into it when he made it, settling for an endless void of nothing to float in, with only his mind to entertain him. Sure, he could totally just reshape the domain into something more entertaining but that's just... so much work.
Saros hates work.
So, to keep himself entertained, he instead used his divine powers to make a small, glass ball. He'd always enjoyed watching humans do their little human tasks, so he used that ball to do just that. Peer into the worlds outside of his domain, and watch whatever human catches his interest that day.
It kept him entertained for a bit, watching human after human. But that familiar boredom started inch its way back into his mind, and he started watching them less and less. He was just about to destroy the ball when someone finally caught his interest.
A soul. One that burned brighter than the rest. Bright enough that it felt like it was calling out to him.
And that soul just so happened to belong to you. Someone so painfully normal, it almost made him laugh. There was nothing special about you. No secret identity, no dirty secrets, no troubled past haunting you. Just... you.
Someone who should have never caught his attention, and yet, it was impossible to look away.
He found himself watching you nonstop.
Saros watched you work. You worked hard, putting all your energy into whatever you do without caring if you'd burn yourself out. It made something in him ache. He wanted to take on the burden of your work for you, so you can catch up on much needed rest.
He watched you spend time with your friends. People with souls who didn't burn as bright as yours. Disgusting things, thinking they were on the same level as you.
He watched you spend time with romantic flings. Hookups, to blow off steam. Those were simultaneously his favorite and least favorite moments. He loved watching you, taking in all of your expressions, listening to your breathless gasps. He hated knowing that he wasn't the reason you were like this, though.
It's become an obsession. An all consuming one. He felt like his world would crumble if he didn't get his hands on you. The world you were in held no ounce of magic, so he had no way of interacting with you. It tore him apart. You were so close, yet so far at the same time.
And in his desperation, the idea to just... drag you into a world of magic popped into his mind.
It wasn't something he could accomplish on his own, sadly. He had no choice but to enlist the help of a fellow god. The god who controls life, to be exact. Someone who was more than happy to help him.
Vitus was a sadistic bastard who loved the idea of death. A stark contrast to his role as life itself, but Saros didn't particularly care about that. He wanted only one thing, and that was you.
"Just kill them, and I'll do the rest." He had said. Vitus was one of the few gods who could interact with any world, which is why it had to be him to help.
"You owe me for this," Had been his reply. But that manic grin on his face told Saros that he was going to enjoy whatever plan he had in mind.
Did he feel a bit guilty, sending off someone like Vitus to kill you? Painfully so. But it's something he'll make up for! So long as his plan works out, he'll spend the rest of eternity making it up to you.
And when he feels your soul starting to fade after your death, Saros is quick to put his plan into action. The little power he could use in your world was spent on binding your soul to his, dragging it into a world of magic, and granting you the ability to summon him.
It's a bit ironic, reducing himself to a summon just because of the desperate crush he had, but it doesn't matter.
He's hellbent on having you all to himself.

"You're doing it again."
The sound of your voice drags Saros out of his thoughts. He blinks, yellow eyes staring at you as he leans against the bar. The tavern was empty, with just you and him. You were wiping the bar down, and his mind must've wandered off while watching you.
"Hm? Am I not allowed to look at my master?" He hums, smiling a bit at the way your face scrunches up at the label he'd taken to calling you.
You don't bother with a response, much to Saros' dismay. He could listen to your voice for eternity, if you'd let him.
Instead, you just roll your eyes and continue cleaning up. Saros sighs, content with just watching you.
If being nothing more than a servant means having you in his life, all to himself just like this, then he'll happily obey any command you send his way.
notes: cross-posted on quotev. first time writing thoma yup yup, i hope i do him some justice. the yandere-ness of this is actually very light you kinda gotta squint to even see it.
warnings: modern au, childhood friends trope. very vaguely implied stalking, sabotaging relationships, unhealthy co-dependency.
synopsis: you'd think that reuniting with your childhood best friend, you'd be able to make many memories together. but thoma's finding it hard to adjust to the fact that you have other friends than him now, and he's willing to do anything to make sure you stay by his side.
wc: 3k. it kinda got away from me lol
The sun was high in the sky as you sat in the airport, watching all the strangers pass by.
Mondstadt was a fairly popular tourist destination, so there were many people going about, some rushing to catch their flights while others were excitedly taking pictures of the architecture that the nation was so famous for.
But you were waiting for someone.
Your best friend from childhood, Thoma. Someone you hadn't seen since you were like... fifteen, at least. He had left for Inazuma when his parents sent him off to an academy there, something about bettering his education.
At the time, you'd been really upset. Thoma had been your only friend back then, and you did almost everything with him. The idea that he'd be gone made you feel sick to your stomach.
Thoma swore up and down that he'd call often, and that even though he'd be gone for a while, you'd still be best friends. It did little to comfort you, but he'd been true to his word, at least.
It's a little embarrassing thinking back on it now, to be honest. You were a little too dependent on Thoma when you were younger, considering he was your only friend and all.
Truthfully, the thought of seeing Thoma again after all these years made you nervous.
You're not really sure why, which only made you feel... well... more nervous.
In the time he'd been gone, you were able to make other friends. It made you feel guilty, in a way.
What if he thought you were abandoning him?
Thoughts like that were plaguing your mind, even though you knew they were nonsense. Thoma would never get upset at you for being friends with other people, so you're not sure why these thoughts kept popping into your mind.
"Hello? Anyone home?" A hand waves in your face, snapping you out of your thoughts. Looking up from where you sat, you come face-to-face with Thoma. He smiles when you meet his gaze, "There you are."
Excitement replaces your nerves as you throw your arms around Thoma, hugging him tightly, "Holy Barbatos, you're actually here!"
Thoma lets out a chuckle at your words, his arms wrapping around you in return. His hug was equally as tight, if not tighter. Like you'd disappear if he let you go. You can feel him bury his face in your hair, and you swear you hear him take a deep breath, but you brush it off. You were just imagining things, no doubt.
"Of course, silly," He says, resting his chin atop your head, "Nothing could keep me away from you."
The hug lasts a few moments longer before you finally pull away, and you miss the way Thoma's hand twitches, as if he wanted to grab you again. Instead, he just awkwardly rubs the back of his neck and grabs the handle of his suitcase.
You were eager, so many questions running through your mind that you wanted to ask him. He never really spoke much about life in Inazuma during your calls with him. Really, he only ever wanted to talk about you. You, your life, and whether or not you made any new friends while he was gone.
He was very curious about your friends.
But you didn't want to bombard him with questions so soon after his flight. For now, you'll just take him to your place so he can rest. You're sure you'll have time to ask him all the questions you want. After all, he's gonna be here for a month.
—
"Are you sure you want to sleep on the couch? The bed is a lot more–"
"Nah, it's okay," Thoma easily brushes off your concerns, hugging a pillow to his chest as he sits on the couch with his legs crossed. He would've been crashing at his parents' place, but they were both on vacation for the time he'd be in Mondstadt, and he had insisted on staying with you anyway.
His reassurance didn't do much to make you feel better, and you set some folded blankets and an extra pillow next to him as you frown a bit. Your parents had always taught you to never let a guest sleep on anything other than a bed, but here Thoma was. Refusing to take your bed.
Your train of thought was written all over your face, surely, because without missing a beat, Thoma spoke up, "But… if it bothers you that much, we could always share your bed."
There's this cheeky grin on his face when your head snaps up, and you look at him with wide eyes for a few moments. It's not a crazy idea, not at all. You used to share a bed with him all the time when you'd visit each other as kids, but… that was then, and this is now. It's a bit embarrassing sharing a bed with him, especially since it's been so long since you've seen him.
Even though he was your best friend, you felt awkward around him. He was acting as if he hadn't been gone for most of your life, as if you two hadn't grown up.
"Don't be stupid," You murmur, throwing the pillow at him. He didn't bother dodging it, letting it hit him square in the face as he laughed.
"I was kidding, relax," He hums, a teasing edge to his words as he grabs the pillow from where it landed on the floor and places it back atop the blankets, "But seriously, the couch is cool. I've slept on my friend's couch far too many times in uni, so this is like… normal, for me."
"…I thought you lived in the dorms," Your brows pinch together a bit, snatching some of the stray trash you had left on the coffee table that you forgot to clean last night. Thoma mentioning his friend had you jumping at the chance to learn about what Inazuma was like, and how life had been treating him.
He leans back on the couch, a small sigh escaping him as he watches you tidy up, his gaze following your every movement, "The first year, yeah. But I met some friends who were willing to let me crash at their place."
He never really hid the fact that he had friends other than you, but he also avoided speaking about them whenever you brought them up. You had a feeling he'd do the same thing, but…
"Yeah? What're their names?"
And the response you got was a vague hum and a small shrug. Exactly what you were expecting. Crossing your arms, you look at Thoma. He looks back, feigning innocence.
"Thoma, why don't you want to tell me about your friends?" There was no beating around the bush with this one. You've been trying to learn about his friends for years now, and he just refused to budge. You knew very vague things about them. They were siblings, rich, and 'okay people'.
He made an offhand comment one time about how they were pretty influential in Inazuma, but there was like… a never-ending stream of influential people in Inazuma, so that did not narrow your search down.
"It's not that I don't want you to know about them, it's just…" Thoma shrugs a bit, awkwardly squeezing the pillow he was holding, "They're not important when it comes to you. We've both been so busy lately, and I just want to focus on you."
The way he says those words, coupled with the small frown on his lips, evokes a feeling of guilt itching inside of you. You understood where he was coming from. And with work, paired with different time zones, you really haven't had much time to spend with him recently, so it's not like he was making that up, or anything.
There was this nagging feeling in the back of your mind, but Thoma was starting to look like a kicked puppy, and you could never be upset at him for long when he looked like that. With an exaggerated groan, you uncross your arms and make a vague gesture with your hands.
"Alright, fine, you win."
The kicked puppy expression on Thoma's face immediately disappeared, and a bright smile was in its place. The guilt you felt eased away at the sight of it, and you sighed.
Really, you shouldn't try arguing with him. You should just enjoy the time you spend with him before he goes back to Inazuma.
—
Your room was a mess, clothes thrown randomly on the floor, and books carelessly tossed on your bed as you dug through the drawers of your dresser, a feeling of frustration churning in your gut. You've been trying to find your phone for almost an hour now, with no success.
Normally, you wouldn't worry so much about not having your phone with you. It was bound to turn up later, but you had made plans to go out with some friends tonight, and you forgot the address of the restaurant that you all planned going to.
Thoma wasn't much help, either.
He was just watching you dig around your room, occasionally poking around himself when you'd shoot a look his way. He didn't seem as concerned as you.
"You could always just have dinner at home, y'know. With me." The blond comments after a moment, and it's enough to get you to halt your movements, looking up at him. Maybe it's just because you felt frustrated, but you couldn't help but feel a bit annoyed at his words.
"Thoma, I made plans to have dinner with my friends. It'd make me look like a dick if I just… bailed on them," You state this as if it were obvious. Thoma already knew about your plans because you told him about them yesterday morning during breakfast.
He's been in a bit of a mood since you mentioned your plans with your other friends, now that you think about it. It's already been a week since he's been here, and you've spent all your time with him that you had been neglecting your other friendships. You had promised that you'd spend time with your friend group tonight.
"Yeah, but…" Thoma trails off, his voice a quiet murmur. He's hesitating to speak, as if he thinks whatever he says might upset you, "…I'm only gonna be here for so long, and I just wanna spend as much time with you as I can before I have to leave…"
And there's that expression again.
His eyes refuse to meet yours, and he's got this frown on his face. His brows are pinched together, and he looks like he was genuinely upset at the mere idea of not being able to spend time with you. This familiar feeling of guilt entered your stomach as you looked at him, and you bit the inside of your cheek.
On one hand, you had already made plans with your other friends. You'd been excited to spend time with them, after hanging out with Thoma for the last couple of days. You didn't want to be a bad friend by bailing on them to spend time with someone else.
But on the other hand, Thoma was only going to be here for so long. In just three more weeks, he's heading back to Inazuma, and the distance between you two will go back to how it was when he first left. You didn't want to be a bad friend by not taking the chance to bond with him and make memories that you both missed out on when he left.
No matter what choice you made, you'd be a bad friend either way.
And when Thoma leaves, you'll still be able to spend time with your other friends… you won't be able to spend time with him…
And with your phone missing, it's not like you had much of a choice in the matter. With a defeated sigh, you close your dresser, "Yeah… yeah, I guess I'll just… tell them something came up, whenever I find my phone."
Thoma immediately brightens at your words, and there's this sense of déjà vu that you feel, but you brush it off as lingering frustration from losing your phone.
"Great! I'll cook dinner, and you can find a movie for us to watch."
And that's exactly how the night went.
At some point, you ended up falling asleep on the couch in the living room with Thoma, and when you woke up in the morning, you found your phone resting on the coffee table. You could've sworn that it hadn't been there when you were looking for it, but…
Maybe you just overlooked it?
—
Two weeks into Thoma's stay, your friends start to distance themselves from you. You're not sure why, but whenever you would message them, you'd never get a response. And on the rare chance you'd make plans with one of them, they'd bail on you shortly after. It left you feeling horrible, really.
Thoma was by your side to comfort you and keep you company, at least. But there was only a week left before he had to leave, and you were starting to get anxious.
All of your other friends refused to speak with you. Once Thoma leaves, you'll be pretty much alone. Like when you were younger…
"Hey," Thoma's voice snaps you out of your thoughts, his hand waving in your face. You blink, your gaze focusing on him. He looked worried, his hand hovering in front of your face like he wanted to reach out and check your temperature, "You okay?"
Your immediate reaction was to smile and brush off his concern, but you hesitated. Instead, you awkwardly look away from him to stare at your lap, chewing on the inside of your cheek as you debate whether or not to talk about the stuff that's been bothering you.
"…My friends aren't speaking with me," You start. Had you been looking at Thoma, you probably would've noticed the flicker of annoyance in his gaze when you mentioned your friends.
He's quiet, so you continue to speak, "I don't know what I did wrong, but they refuse to talk to me, and whenever I try calling them, they never answer. Hell, even some of my coworkers have been avoiding me. It's like they just… don't like me anymore, like…"
Making a vague sound in the back of your throat, you bury your face in your hands and let out a small huff, "And you're going to be leaving soon, and it has me feeling anxious because you're the only friend I have that's speaking to me." You murmur, "It's so dumb…"
Lifting your head from your hands, you look up at Thoma from where you were sitting with a small frown on your lips, "I just wish… you didn't have to go, I guess. I dunno. I'm being dumb, ignore me."
There were a few beats of silence before Thoma spoke up, "Why don't you just move to Inazuma? I've got a place of my own now, and I make enough money to take care of both of us until you can get a job there."
The offer probably shouldn't be that shocking, but you stared at him as if he'd grown a second head. It was such a casual offer, as if he wasn't asking you to uproot your entire life to move to an entirely different nation that you knew very little about. And yet… the offer was tempting.
You loved Mondstadt with all your heart; it was your home, after all. But the time that you spent with Thoma reminded you why he was your best friend. It felt natural being around him. As natural as breathing, really. It's just…
"That's… a big ask, Thoma…"
"But I'm not hearing a no."
Your lips part, and you wanted to say no, but something was stopping you. Instead, you mutter, "I'll think about it."
And Thoma smiles.
—
"And you're certain all of this is necessary, Thoma?" A voice asks over the phone, "You can't just ask them out like a normal person?"
Thoma paces around the living room of your home. It's the dead of night, and you had gone to bed hours ago. His friend's words had him rolling his eyes, and he shook his head a bit as he spoke, "They're too attached to their life here."
"Yes, but is ruining their reputation with their friends the right move? If they find out you've been harassing their loved ones, they'll hate you."
The thought that you could one day hate him had Thoma pausing in his steps. It was one of his biggest fears. His only fear, now that he thinks about it. His entire life, from the moment he first met you, he wanted nothing more than for you to look only at him. The feeling of you relying on him is like nothing he's ever felt before.
The years he spent away from you were hell. You grew out of your shell and made friends. You didn't need him. Listening to you happily chat away about all the friends you had made while he was stuck across the world was genuinely hell.
He wanted you to focus on him. Only him.
"…I'm not going back to Inazuma without them, Ayato." Thoma quietly says, "I'm not losing them to people who are so easily pushed away."
The line goes quiet for a few moments, but Thoma can hear Ayato sigh on the other end before speaking, "I'll see if I can get them transferred to an office here."
Thoma mutters a quiet thanks, and then the call ends. He sits down on the couch and leans back, staring up at the ceiling. He's done nothing wrong. It's all been for you. Everything he does is for you, with your best interests in mind.
And once he gets you to Inazuma, you'll forget all about your friends here in Mondstadt. He'll be the only one that matters.
notes: sorry for disappearing for a few months here i didnt know what to post lol. so here's something short, cause i wanna be active here. i actually really like how this turned out.
warnings: gn reader, not proofread. yandere content, unhealthy relationships, possessive behavior, near-death experience, murder, saros is kinda freaky ngl, use of the term 'master', brief depiction of murder, jealousy, overprotective behavior.
♡ — thinking about a yandere summon... you end up in a typical isekai scenario and end up in a world of fantasy entirely unfamiliar to you, left to start a new life with no place to call home and no one to rely on but yourself. it was hard work, but you were able to get into a normal routine, managing to get a job at a tavern. the owner was even kind enough to let you stay in the small loft in the upstairs area!
♡ — you were so focused on just trying to build a life here that you never really realized you had any sort of special power. not until your life was in danger, and you resigned yourself to death yet again. right before the final blow could be dealt, there was this blinding light. bright enough that you squeezed your eyes shut to shield yourself from it.
♡ — rain starts to pour, but you can't feel it touching your skin. everything was silent, other than the rain. when you opened your eyes, you weren't sure what you were expecting to see. but the adventurers that had decided to attack you because you wouldn't let them leave the tavern without paying their tab were gone. the only thing remaining of them were their weapons dropped on the ground, red water washing away.
♡ — instead, a man stood before you. he was holding an umbrella, and it was the reason why the rain wasn't touching you. yellow eyes stare down at you, the faint glow of them causing goosebumps to appear on your skin. he smiles when you meet his gaze, and there's this air of danger around him but it didn't feel directed towards you.
he felt the pull almost instantly. the human he'd connected his soul to was finally calling for him. finally bringing him out of the endless darkness that he called home. he was starting to think they'd never discover their power!
he had been so excited to finally meet you! he had it all planned out. you'd summon him, and he'll appear in front of you with a nice demonstration of his power, like summons always do, and you'll be so impressed by him that you'll fall in love with him.
so when he appeared to see you curled up on the ground, a bunch of no-good assholes beating you up... their reasoning doesn't matter to him, because in his eyes, you could do no wrong. the rain started to fall, and saros opens the green umbrella in his hand, holding it over your shivering body to keep you from getting wet.
the people who were hurting you screamed. the rain burned their skin, and they dropped their weapons. the scum tried to flee, but you can't outrun something falling from the sky. they were dead in a matter of seconds, not even their clothes left behind.
but none of that seemed to matter as he looked down to see you staring up at him. your blood was sticking to your skin, exhaustion heavy on your face. but your eyes held a galaxy within them, and when his skin touched yours as he helped you up, it felt as if everything clicked into place. he's right where he belongs.
♡ — "i was wondering when you'd call on me," he hums as he helps you from the ground. his touch was gentle, but firm. you have to lean on him just to keep yourself from falling over. the pain in your body made you feel unbearably nauseous, and you could already see black dots pooling in your vision.
♡ — when you next wake, you're in the loft at the tavern. honestly, you would've believed the whole experience to be a dream if the man wasn't sitting on the floor next to the bed, flipping through one of the books you'd recently gotten. he seemed to perk up like a dog when he saw you were awake.
♡ — he introduced himself as saros, and you were a summoner. apparently. the term wasn't a mystery to you. you've lived in this world long enough that you had no choice but to learn about the magic in it, you just hadn't ever expected to wield that magic. summoners were rare, and they were typically high up in the government due to their powers. but that wasn't a life you wanted to live.
♡ — and saros was... well, he was a bit too eager to listen to you, to be honest. the stories you've heard of summoners, you sorta assumed you'd have to prove your worth for him to do what you want, but no. if anything, you'd rather he stop listening to you. he was stuck by your side like glue, and you had to awkwardly come up with a story for your boss as to why you suddenly had a weird... bodyguard? friend? you're not sure, honestly.
♡ — either way, your boss ultimately agreed saros could stay as long as he helped out around the tavern as well. he was eager to help out, too. he insisted on doing most of the work, so you ended up behind the bar most nights making drinks while he went to deliver them. something about not wanting you to exhaust yourself? but the way he looks when one of the patrons sitting at the bar tries talking to you, you got a feeling his reasons were a lot more sinister than they appeared.
there's this pout on his lips as he watches you chat away with some random adventurer. he's supposed to be humoring some patrons, but it was hard to focus on the work he'd been assigned by you when you're laughing at some awful joke made by someone who wasn't him.
saros hated seeing you talk to other people. why would you need anyone else when you have him? he's all you could ever want or need. a friend, a protector, a lover. he gets that you're just doing your job, but he hates it.
it would be so easy to take you far away from anyone else. these people don't appreciate you like he does. they don't understand you, they don't know what made you happy. they didn't spend a century figuring out how to drag you into their world so they could spend their life with you.
maybe he should. you wouldn't be able to stop him, you're just a weak human. the idea danced around in his mind, but everything seemed to go silent when your gaze flickered over to him. he stared, and you offered a small smile before getting back to work. oh, he can't take freedom away from you. not if it risks losing that pretty smile of yours.
♡ — you're not even sure what he is. he's a summon, that much you know, but... what kind? what category does he fall in? he so easily killed a group of adventurers with rain alone (something that still makes you sick when you think about it), so he's definitely in a higher category compared to your typical summon.
♡ — it's a question saros must've been waiting for you to ask, because when you finally decide to ask him about his origins one night while trying to fall asleep, he perks up like a dog and gets this smile on his face. like you asking about him, wanting to learn about him, was the greatest thing that's ever happened.
♡ — you were expecting a complicated response, truth be told. a lesson on summons, the different types of summons, something like that. instead, saros just hums like he's in thought for a moment. there's this playful glint in his eyes as he cocks his head to the side a bit, "i guess you could say i'm a god?"
♡ — and you laugh at his words. you weren't from this world, but you weren't clueless, either. you had studied up on the place. gods can't be summons, because gods don't like being controlled. some may argue that they can't be controlled. the few records of a god being a summon, it resulted in the summoner being killed, because mortals aren't built to withstand the energy of immortals.
saros smiles at the sound of your laugh. you didn't believe him, and he found that to be adorable. he can't blame you. were you anyone else, he would've left a long time ago. he's not fond of people telling him one to do, but you... you're just... special. you could tell him to cut off his own arm and he would.
"...you're joking, right?" you ask, the sound of your voice causing his skin to tingle and his soul to burn in his chest. he can see the moment you realize that he was serious. your expression shifts into something wary, and you were putting distance between you two. he didn't like that.
shifting closer, saros reaches out and grabs you wrist. he can feel you tense from his touch, and his smile grows just a bit from your reaction. everything you did, every reaction you had, it was all so damn cute to him. your fear wasn't misplaced, either. he could easily overpower you. he could take you, he could lock you away. he could keep you all for himself.
he could. but he won't. he values your trust, your respect, your love far too much to betray you. unless it's to save your life, saros could never see himself going against your wishes. you are his master, his everything. his whole existence, from the moment he discovered your soul while peeking into the neighboring universe, revolves around you.
♡ — the moment you felt him grab your wrist, you were preparing for the worst. your life force to be sucked out of you, or maybe something worse than that. the first time you died, you ended up in this alternate universe and had to restart your life. if you die again, would that be it?
♡ — but instead of the death you were expecting, you were met with the touch of cool metal. a chain. you blink, and look down at your hand to see a chain resting on your palm. your gaze follows it, only to see it connected to a collar that saros was wearing. when the fuck did he even put that on? how long has he had this?
♡ — "consider this my vow to never harm you, master," saros says, like that would explain anything. you stare at the collar for a moment longer before looking to meet his gaze, yellow eyes staring back into you. there's an intensity behind them that has you looking away, and you pull your hand back. the chain falls, and you watch as it fizzles away into nothing.
♡ — ...you suppose saros' presence is just one of the many things you'll have to adjust to, if you hope to survive in this world. you just weren't expecting a god to be so... weird.
notes: this guy is actually based off the guy i keep seeing in my dreams so!! why not turn him into a yandere lol. i plan on making a polar opposite to this guy too thts all soft nd like. a dream, essentially.
warnings: gn reader, yandere content, unhealthy relationships, possessive behavior, fairly detailed nightmares, depictions of death but none of it's real, manipulation, this technically falls into the dark yandere category, forced dependency, intentional sleep deprivation, obsession.
♡ — yandere nightmare who, in the beginning, saw you as nothing more than a mortal for him to mess around with. orion has always viewed himself as better than mortals, considering himself a god, so you were meant to be nothing more than a toy for him. one he'd play with until he got bored and moved on.
♡ — all of your dreams, once nice and pleasant, were now horrific nightmares. if you dreamt of nice childhood memories, it was replaced by the images of your family's faces melting off their skin, revealing demonic monsters hidden beneath.
♡ — orion liked the reactions he got out of you. the way you'd pretend to be brave sometimes, or the way you'd breakdown other times. learning your deepest, darkest fears with each new nightmare, making you suffer in the most horrific ways you could ever possibly imagine.
♡ — it was all entertainment to him. that's all it should've been, at least. but then you started forcing yourself to stay awake, depriving him of your reactions. you're not the first mortal to do this, and though frustrating, he had initially moved on, opting to torment another person.
♡ — but their reactions just... weren't the same. they didn't cry like you did. they didn't put on a brave face. they didn't act like you, and it angered him, and he didn't understand why. sure, orion's enjoyed tormenting certain people more than others, but it's like you just refuse to leave his mind.
♡ — so when you started falling asleep again, orion was quick to return to your side. he had the ability to appear however he wanted, and he'd normally depict himself as a monster. long gangly limbs, bones sticking out of him every which way, gnarly teeth, glowing eyes, the like. but he found himself taking on a human appearance, just for you.
♡ — it wasn't any less unnerving, though. he looked uncanny. if you stared too long, you would start to notice the flaws. eyes too red, skin too smooth. a smile too wide, teeth just a bit too sharp. he didn't speak to you at first, just appearing in the background of your nightmares, watching.
♡ — and speaking of your nightmares... they weren't as... bad as they once were. the stench of rot and burning flesh no longer greeted you every time you fell asleep. instead, you always found yourself in isolated or abandoned places. the monsters that used to torture you no longer appeared. the only other person around, if that's what you could even call him, was the man with deathly pale skin and inky black hair.
♡ — somehow, you found this to be far scarier than any other nightmares. it's just you, and him. and you didn't know him. and he was always watching, observing. and you swear that one time you woke up in the middle of the night to find him standing in the corner of your room. you swear it.
♡ — the paranoia started to follow you into the waking world, much to orion's delight. he couldn't interact with you while you were awake, as much as that upset him, but it made his nonexistent heart throb knowing that you thought about him enough that it had you looking over your shoulder even while you were awake.
♡ — friends and family show concern for your increasing paranoia and lack of sleep, some even speculating that you might be suffering night terrors and to seek some help to try and get some medication to manage it. but deep down, you knew that this wasn't something that would go away with some pills.
♡ — you do try what you can. at first, you forced yourself to stay awake. you were able to go almost a full week without sleeping before your body forcibly shut down. that was when orion started observing you rather than tormenting you.
♡ — then you tried watching meditation videos, asmr, things that were meant to help you sleep. you thought that, maybe, you were just incredibly stressed and that stress is what was triggering these nightmares. but no, none of that helped. that's when you started to suspect something more... supernatural might have been at play.
♡ — online forums were no help, unfortunately. you were able to get a few laughs out from a couple jokes about the hat man, but none of that helped you. so alas, all you could do what... get used to the nightmares, you supposed. it should be... easy, right?
♡ — well. orion thought it was adorable how you were trying to find ways to get rid of him. but as cute as it was, he was growing impatient waiting for you to sleep. it's become a habit of yours, apparently, to put off sleeping as long as you could, and that simply just wasn't fair. it only serves to piss him off more the longer he finds himself attached to you.
♡ — he's no longer satisfied with just watching you. when you fall asleep next, you'll find yourself in an endless void, arms tightly wrapped around you. long black hair draping over your shoulder as he buries his face in your neck, breathing you in. he didn't understand why he felt this way about you, but he knew that he never wanted to let you go.
♡ — but when you do things to piss him off, he'll always make sure to give you horrific nightmares. you wanna spend time with your friends in the waking world more than him? suddenly, you're having a nightmare where you're forced to watch your friends die in slow, excruciating ways. you find yourself developing feelings for someone? he may not be able to kill them in real life yet, but he'll make sure to personally torture a dream version of them until you're begging him to stop, promising to never speak to them again.
♡ — and he'll always shower you in affection after he scares you. his skin was far too cold against your own, but you'll learn to lean into his touch as he wipes your tears away, cooing, telling you that he's just doing what's best for you. he'll do this again and again until it's finally beat into your head that you don't need anyone other than him.
warnings: yandere content, unhealthy relationships, stalking, obsession, unconsensual photo taking, gn reader but terms such as 'pretty' are used, mentions of alcohol, crying, dependency, you get drunk but nothing happens dw.
♡ — yandere stalker who wasn't actually meant to meet you. you live in two different worlds, so his path was never meant to cross with yours. but you just so happened to be best friends with his sister. he's not delusional enough to call it fate, but it felt close.
♡ — he loathed large crowds and parties, but his sister insisted he be her chauffeur. college parties were the worst kind of parties, in lucian's humble opinion, but driving his sister to such a party is the only reason he had been able to meet you.
♡ — you were nothing like his sister, so he's not sure how the two of you ended up becoming such good friends. you greeted him with a friendly smile, apologizing for making him drive such a long way to pick you up.
♡ — he's not built for small talk, so the entire drive was painfully silent until you took notice of the came he had in the backseat. when you asked if you could look at the photos he'd taken, his immediate reaction was to tell you no, but... he just muttered out a small 'okay'.
♡ — the poor guy's heart was racing in his chest, waiting for you to make some backhanded comment. photography was a hard field to find a stable job in, and his parents had been less than supportive, so it was nothing more than a hobby but he still felt nervous nonetheless.
♡ — he hadn't expected you to compliment his photos, though. he'd always been insecure in his photography skills, so it was... embarrassing?? to have someone as pretty as you praise him for random shots of the scenery.
♡ — it's so dumb, but that small amount of praise was enough to have you stuck in his mind even after he had dropped you off at the party. his sister had been eagerly waiting for you outside, passing you what he could only assume to be cheap alcohol as soon as you were within arm's length of her.
♡ — he doesn't know what compelled him to do it, but he scrambled to grab his camera off the passenger seat where you left it when you got out of his car, and he took a picture of you standing on the porch of whoever's house. the porchlight offered such shitty lighting, but you somehow looked stunning under it, and it felt as if his breath had been stolen from him.
♡ — lucian tries really really hard to ignore the weird feeling in his chest that he gets whenever you're around now. it's like his sister knew you had some effect on him, because she took you almost everywhere with her now. you're always so nice to him whenever you're around and it makes him feel all dizzy and nauseous and he's honestly pretty sure he's dying.
♡ — love is nothing something he's proficient in. he's never even dated anyone before, having spent his entire adolescence working hard to get the education his parents wanted of him. and even after graduating uni and getting a job as a computer programmer, he never put himself out there. he was just too painfully socially awkward, shying away from all advances made on him.
♡ — not that he wants to date you! no, oh my god, no, if you knew about the crush he was harboring on you, he'd actually die. he's... he's fine with just watching you from afar until this little crush goes away. because it... it will go away soon, right? right?
♡ — he tried really hard to convince himself that his feelings for you weren't that deep, and that they'd be gone if he just avoided you, but it didn't work. if anything, avoiding you somehow made things worse because he would find himself looking at all the pictures he's taken of you and he doesn't even remember taking so many photos.
♡ — the guilt eats away at him when he starts stalking you. he can't help it! the tightness in his chest only goes away when he can see you. he needed you. needed your praise, your kind words. please, he's so deprived of such an affection.
♡ — and when lucian drops you off at your home one night after a party while you're drunk, he feels like he's in heaven. you were clinging to him, trying to keep yourself from falling, and he felt as if his skin was on fire. by the time he managed to help you to your bedroom and drop you on your bed, he felt as if his heart was going to explode.
♡ — he's not sure how long he stayed in your room, watching you sleep. he doesn't know how many photos he took, but he took enough to max out his sd card. what he does know is that when he finally went back to his apartment, one of your shirts was tightly grasped in his hand. he feels so guilty, tears in his eyes. but your shirt was his pillowcase now.
♡ — and lord forbid if you ever actually catch him stalking you. it's his worst nightmare at this point, the very thought scaring him enough to the point where his hands start to shake and he starts to tear up. if you do catch him, lucian isn't against begging for your forgiveness. he's always been a bit pathetic, but the thought of losing what little affection you held for him only seemed to make him worse.
♡ — he'll cry. he'll drop to his knees, he'll cling to you. he'll do anything he can to make you pity him, to get you to feel bad enough for him that you won't send him away. he doesn't need you to love him, he just needs you to praise him. even if you have to lie.
