Hearing that he was alright, that he was patched upâSansdy was allowed to calm himself down as he gave a nod. He would always worry about Sans, just like he would worry about otherâs in this place, Sans was just different, he always was, and he always would be. At least to Sansdy.Â
One of thoseâyou always want what you canât have sort of deal. He just needed to figure out a way to tell Sans how he felt as wellâthoughâhe had a feeling he already knew and just didnât want to be with him. So, he just never said anything.Â
Iâm glad youâre alright, His signage was a bit slower this time as he was more at ease as he gave a bit of a breath. Hearing that humans didnât care about casualties anymoreâit was something that was disheartening to the younger as he turned to Grillby who just laughed.Â
âDonât worry about me, itâs just a few more dishes. Sansdy, why donât you go into the walk in fridge and get Sans something to eat?â He asked as Sansdy gave a nod and he was already making his way out of the dish area, letting Grillby have a moment with the other.Â
âYou know, heâs quiet fond of you.â His words were as he went back to dishes. âHe wonât say it though because heâs afraid you wouldnât return those feelings.â In all the time Sansdy was here, he had also grown close to Grillby since he was the one he worked with all the time, sort of like co-workers who tell each other everything.Â
âNot saying this to have you two be a thingâalthough that would be nice for the both of youâI just want you to be careful what you do around him. Heâs a good kid, Iâd hate to see him broken hearted.âÂ
Watching as Sansdy went to get him something to eat, he heard Grillbyâs words and groaned lightly. Seriously, why did he have to butt in? Again.
âGrillbs, I know he is. Thatâs why Iâm tryinâ not to entertain those thoughts,â he said, his voice hushed. âYou know that it was supposed to be the two of us back in that facility. It doesnât have to be that way here.â
Sighing gently, Sans leaned against the wall. âIâm tryinâ not to break his heart, but what did ya want me to do? Itâs not that I donât like him, itâs that he doesnât need to hook himself to me,â he said, shaking his head. âWhat if they tampered with me, made me more enticinâ to him? They have to protect an investment and I donât know everythinâ Iâm capable of.â
Dragging his hands down his face with a grumble, he tapped his head on the wall. âAnd this is no place for him. He deserves to be free, out there somewhere and enjoyinâ life. Not trapped underground in this shithole forever. If that plan weâve got to have a hidden spot to hold non-combatants works out, heâll be up there and more free than he is here.â
Which meant he wouldnât be around and Sans didnât want to get attached to someone who might change his mind later. In a rare display of emotion, he put a hand over where his heart was. âIâm not the guy for him, Iâm not who he thinks I am and I never will be.â
