I’ve have had my fair share of thoughts about this whole entire situation and I guess it’s my turn to show my side I suppose that I have chosen on this whole thing. If you do not agree with me on my view point on this, do not send hate to me or my other accounts.
Anyway im sure you know of the whole situation that has been brought up again now that the band is now on tour. To recap, a user had brought up that Justin Taylor had supposedly groped their backside while at a meet of Drag Talk. There was only one picture (that I am aware of) and I had looked closely at it. I did not see any sort of indication that Taylor had his hand raised while on the person in the picture. But I would like to think hypothetically.
What if Taylor did touch the victim? There were other people who would have seen it happen and called him out immediately. Especially with now his name open in the cast of the nameless ghouls and being in the drag community. With my understanding of the drag community…they are extremely protective of minors. If word go out of this, then they would tear him up. I’m not saying that they have or they asked him. But with his name being a largely known figure for the band Ghost, surely Tobias Forge would have been notified and he would of not of been in the music videos or on the first three concerts of the tour. Forge knows that young people, even minors, show up at his concerts. He wouldn’t want to risk someone who actually touched a minor.
Second, I believe the instances are innocent until proven guilty. From my knowledge that a few other people have brought up, there are a lot of holes in this case. I have heard from a few posts that the picture was not as recent as we thought or the whole situation happened way after the night it did happen and it’s so conveniently timed. I get that if something like this does happen to a person, they will hide it until they are ready. I’ve been sexually abused online before and I still haven’t been fully recovered or out with what happened. I also have seen the minor was not actually a minor but someone who was 18, or the people wanting to stop Taylor are 18.
In the eyes of consent, 18 is the lowest age that a people can have sex legally, sell explicit pictures legally, preform in strip clubs legally and much more. Does it make it any better that Taylor (someone who is more than half their age) touched an 18 year old? No but it’s legal in the eyes of the law. While it is gross, it’s still legal.
Here is what I thought that happened. I think the user felt his arm or wrist brush against their backside. Having them feel that would make anyone startle and make their brain kick into over drive. Maybe there was actually a lot of people at the event and someone bumped into them?
But these are my thoughts on this whole situation. People sending out death threats to Taylor, Cos, Olivia, Per, Mad or Forge are probably the most foul. They know Taylor better than we do. For us, he is just a guy. But to them, he is their friend. People who say they are fans of Ghost and then do this…honestly it rubs me the wrong way.
But these are just my thoughts on the situation…I do not want any hate sent towards me or anyone that I associate with.
