After Particle Sam and Bubbles, I finally stumbled upon Pupal, a word reflective of the status this whole record was written in, one of isolation and self-reflection, metaphorically displayed by the pupa, the in-between state from the larva through the moth or butterfly, a state that apparently is static, but inside which a profound transformation is happening...

Meet Sebas Andrade, the real-world depiction of Sam. These pictures come from the video shoot we did at MACBA. We had the opportunity to create an installation there with the help of Paloma Lambert, it was such an inspiring experience, slightly stressful but very much fun.

The working title Particle Sam came from this character, Sam, a technician locked in his bubble and dreaming to see the world outside it. The title evolved into Bubbles for a while.

Lara, the witch

Thanks to amazing collaborators such as La Cadena who helped me shape the visual world of the album. This character is Lara, a witch who controls electricity and is able to cure all kinds of bugs and computer problems just with her stare.

Color scheme

Since the very early days of starting to produce this project, I had a very clear idea that the color palette would be orange, blue and white. The project at first would be called Particle Sam, and this image is the first that I generated with AI to have an idea of the imagery and vibes I wanted.

Hi! My first album Pupal will be released at the end of October. I'm super excited to share this batch of songs that were written between 2016 and 2021 and produced between 2021 and 2024. It's been a long time coming...
