Like, dante didn't ever think he'd be an owner but why not keep you? You're better off under his care than on the streets or in some pound or with another owner that's just as shitty as your previous one.

But being an owner is all so new to him. He doesn't anticipate the added financial strain. Especially after a visit to a hybrid doctor to get you medication/immunizations/whatever and now, well... his bank account is looking dangerously low and he needs money quick. He goes back to being tony redgrave and doing some solo camwork but it's not quite enough. Hookups would net him more money but... that's out of the question. Can't really invite a fellow camworker over to film when he's got a curious and sweet lamb hybrid in the room over. Nah, you'd probably come stumbling in all sleepy-eyed and ask what the hell is going on and get an eyefull of himself and a stranger.

Even if he were able to invite someone over the folks he used to film with aren't in the field anymore. They understood discretion and Dante's decision to remain as anonymous as possible. He's reluctant to trust someone new.

Out of options and low on funds, what is Dante to do? He needs enough money to get the both of you through the remainder of the month and into the next.

Oh if only there were someone cute and trustworthy and willing to help...
