Nyepi Day | Balinese New Year
All activity on the island will come to a complete standstill on 12th March 2013 for Nyepi Day, which is Balinese New Year and also known as the ‘Day of Silence’. A lively parade of giant monster effigies will take to the streets on the eve of Nyepi creating as much noise as possible to deter the presence of evil spirits. Out of respect for this unique cultural occasion, you will be obliged to stay in the confined of the resort for 24 hours. However, it is a great opportunity to truly unwind and recharge with a day of quit relaxation. | www.santrian.com/puri
