Nyepi Day | Balinese New Year
All activity on the island will come to a complete standstill on 12th March 2013 for Nyepi Day, which is Balinese New Year and also known as the ‘Day of Silence’. A lively parade of giant monster effigies will take to the streets on the eve of Nyepi creating as much noise as possible to deter the presence of evil spirits.
