                HOW HAD he known he was going to be the one roped up into something like this? pleading wasnot something albus potter did often - but if it meant that his sister got something that would make her just THAT much happier, he was sure his  p r i d e  could tolerate bending the rules, just this once.      “ very well, i’ll build a strong case for her. what’s her name then? ”     it was universally known that once a child had named something, saying no to that child was simply  c r u e l  parenting.

          ❛ OH! I HAVEN’T thought about the name yet ----- tabby? salem? ❜ she finds the last name especially funny for some reason. ❛ maybe i should not call her salem, with me being a witch and all. ❜ lips curl into a smile as she looks at the cat, bringing her closer to her while being careful not to squeeze her. the last thing she wants is the cat’s claws at her skin, she thinks. ❛ i am open to suggestions, y’know, yours at least, since you’re gonna help me with mum and dad. if i can’t find a name i like more i’m naming her salem. ❜

           purityderived - liked for a starter.

      “have you seen hugo around?” rose questioned, looking for an excuse to chat with her younger cousin. spending time with lily was always fun, watching her grow up had been pretty enjoyable, she enjoyed watching her give her older brothers a run for their money. “it seems like my mum wasn’t thinking straight we she sent out our letters.” she explained as she glanced down at the envelope in her hand with her brother’s name on it. “i’m surprised he’s not attached to your hip, he’s usually by your side.” 

            ❛ HE WAS WITH me earlier, but he left saying he had to do something. he left before i had time to interrogate him. ❜ lips twist slightly into a smile. it is true, she and hugo did spend a lot of time together, with both of them being of the same age. ❛ he promised to search for me later, though, so you can wait ‘till he gets back to give him the letter. if you’re not busy. ❜ she hasn’t seen her older cousin in a while, but with the amount of cousins they had it was hard keeping up with all of them at times, and she could very well have things to do rather than spend her time with her.

                 LILY RARELY DRINKS, mostly because she does not appreciate how it can make her lose control if she drinks too much. her tolerance is terrible, and she can get drunk after a few glasses. however, when she does drink, it can either make her the kind of girl who dances and suddenly finds everything terribly amusing and talks a little too loud, or can make her terribly sad. it is the possibility of that one alone that makes her stick with water most days. she could say that it is because it is a bad habit -- but that’s not what worries her, and she does have certain self destructive habits. but it’s the idea of losing control and starting to talk about her feelings the one that stops her from drinking most of the times when she can.

               “ YOU MAY BE a potter by name, but you, my dearest cousin, are certainly more of a weasley by nature with questions like that.”       she sighed in an over-exasperated manner ( though a fond smile played at her lips ).       “ very well, i shall tell him we spent the afternoon catching up, shall i? ”       she paused a moment before continuing warily.       “ you didn’t break anything TOO valuable i hope? ”

              SHE SMILES WHEN she hears the other one speak. ❛ oh, thank you! no, don’t worry. he keeps everything truly important out of reach. he’s a little paranoid if you ask me. ❜ a smirk is still present in her lips as she says that. ( her brother is probably not paranoid enough, but she doesn’t invade his privacy that often anymore. ) ❛ but y’know -- i would rather avoid arguing with him. i don’t even know what i broke, i left when i heard the crash. ❜

             WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT WIDE-EYED, BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL YOU USED TO BE?   i don’t know - but if you see her, tell her i’m looking for her. if you find her, can you tell her where to find me? i miss her. and i know i didn’t treat her right, i know i let her down, i know she deserves better, but please, for the love of god, come back to me. maybe she’s still here. maybe i buried her along time ago.

              LILY FELL IN love once, or at least she is quite sure that she was in love, when she was fifteen. she was quite surprised when she realised of that, and for a time, she tried to ignore it completely. by then, she was already starting to close herself a lot, and being in love terrified her. when younger, she used to be a hopeless romantic, but when older, she had grown too afraid of love. but he was one of the few people with whom she had always spoken since entering to hogwarts, one year older and terribly charming, and she eventually she fell for him ( she didn’t want to, it happen anyway. ). eventually, they started sort of dating, although it was never formal, and still, as terrified as she was, she decided not to avoid it anymore. it ended with her heart being broken a few months after, and when looking back, she thinks the signs that it was going to happen were everywhere.

               if she was afraid of falling in love and afraid of intimacy before, then this only made it worse. she hasn’t actually dated anyone since then, and while she might have been involved with more than a few boys afterwards, it has never been anything formal.

           “ … MAYBE if you tell me where you actually were. ”      while she didn’t mind covering for the girl  ( what were cousins for after all? )  she certainly wanted to make sure the girl was somewhere  s a f e; especially since she wasn’t all that fond of lying to family members in the first place.

            ❛ DON’T YOU TRUST me, vic? ❜ she sounds almost hurt ( it is most likely a good question, however, she can admit that to herself. ) ❛ ah -- well, i might have entered james room and he told me not to, but i thought i had left something of mine there and ----- i think i broke something. ❜

               “ SHE IS rather beautiful. ”    truthfully? he thinks their house is filled with enough ‘animals’ as it is in their parent’s eyes. but he’s hardly going to say not a chance out right when she seems to happy with her latest acquisition. truth to be told he had a rather weak spot for cats ( as well as anything that made his sister so happy ).     “ perhaps if we both plead enough? ”

           ❛ WELL, I CAN’T leave her in the street. something could happen to her. ❜ she can find it another home, she supposes, but she’s not going to say that. she doesn’t have a pet and she wants one. ❛ she does need a name --- ❜ her voice trails off, eyes set on the cat, before something else appears in her mind and she looks up to him once again. ❛ oh, albus, can you tell mum that she is really calm? i’m sure that if you say it she will believe it. ❜
