The last two years have been insane...from a back injury to a severe mold illness, ugh! So it took me some time to get my rhythm, but I truly have! Thanks be to God! 😘 So, to celebrate I'm back up on YouTube! ;) Over the last five years, I have mentored so many moms and domestic violence survivors.Now I'm on to mentoring fellow Entrepreneurs (Mompreneurs). When I say all that I do has been my heart's joy, I mean it! 💜 Many of them wanted to know how I was able to provide for my family the way that I did and continue to do so. It was through direct sales. Well, believe it or not, just because you are a single mom, you're not going to get a pass. I don't know about you, but when ever I told people that I was a single mom, they'd kind of back off a little. Sometimes, it is so predictable, lol! I'm like, whoa, I don't want anything from you! I 100% got this! I've always taken care of 'me and mine' and I don't want any handouts! That is why I turned to a much more creative way of providing for my family and it has been a HUGE BLESSING! Not only did I CONTINUE TO GROW AS AN ENTREPRENEUR, A BUSINESS WOMAN and A SINGLE MOM, I got to HELP SO MANY PEOPLE IN THE PROCESS!!!! I rarely brag, but it is the truth. Many of these people I didn't personally know, but they saw a video or a FB post that I had written and came to me for assistance. If you need a few extra dollars or if you are wanting to change your career all together and start your own business with the help of the direct sales model, it certainly is worth it!!!!! Self-care isn't just one day, it is EVERY DAY. 😉 I know you are probably looking at my photo thinking to yourself why would putting on a facial mask be considered, SELF-CARE? 🙄 So many people treat self-care as a REWARD. That is NOT what it is meant to be. I know the phrase sounds "indulgent" but really means basic habits that are CRUCIAL to YOUR functioning. It could be putting on a face mask, it could be going for a run, it could be switching to a 'clean' way of eating, grabbing a Mani/pedi, hanging out with your friends, or going to the doctor for your ANNUAL CHECKUP. 💜 What ever you decide to do, understand that self-care means you understand the value of how important it is to take care of yourself no matter what is happening around you. I know, trust me-TRUST ME, I REALLY KNOW, but how can you take care of others if you aren't giving yourself what you need!! You can commit to at least 15-30 minutes a day to take a nice bath, go for a walk, read a book, use your foot spa and give yourself a pedicure, or try a new healthy recipe. The reason why most people give up on self-care is due to the fact that they've pushed themselves to the point where they just can't take it anymore because they are suffering from "overload burnout." 😕 Proper self-care can prevent this. 💜 When you take care of your basic physical and emotional needs, you are in a much better position to help others and not feel as though you are always burning the candle at both ends and feel more able to cope with all that is going on around you!🎉 So there you go, show yourself some"LOVE" every day. 😍 Always my pleasure to guide you! 💜 Check out our amazing bath time products in my shop!!! https://www.perfectlyposh.com/PurpleDiva/products/bath

Guys, no one can stop what's destined. :) If you are a hard worker and you find success, good for you!!! Be proud of yourself...no matter what. Without a doubt people better get used to it. However, they have no reason to judge because they don't know the sacrifices you made in order to get there. Word!  ;)

Taking 100% responsibility for your life. 💜 "The sooner you take responsibility for your life, the sooner your life gets into gear." – Oprah. The author of this piece writes that she'd lived the same year TWICE, even in working her butt off, nothing had changed.... she still the same problems, the same thought patterns, the same challenges, and just everything...the same. It wasn't until she started taking more responsibility for her own life that things began to change. ☺️ I hope this brings someone a little inspiration today! #motivation#ITstartsWITHYou

Happy Tuesday! Yesterday was such as busy day, as always, lol! One thing that I've been loving is forming new relationships with others. At this point in my life, I am who I am and I LOVE THE PERSON I AM. As single mom, an advocate for many things, a mentor, a Non-Profit Founder/CEO and Entrepreneur (constantly starting new ventures!). At each one of these phases, I LOST FRIENDS. It happens!!! The new people in my life know what drives me and are 'attracted' to the person I am TODAY. It isn't FORCED. You can't force people to like you or support you. Be it friendships, romantic relationships, business connections, whatever, JUST DON'T FORCE it. The best relationships are authentic, they feel natural and they just flow! ;) The right people will come....and STAY AROUND! So go out and just be YOU!!!! This isn't middle school....this is life! xoxo

HAPPY MONDAY! #newWEEK #NEWgoals Time most certainly has gotten away from us today! I had a lot of mentoring sessions and I am proud of how each mom left the conversation feeling better about WHO SHE IS AS A PERSON, not just a mom! 💜 THE MORE YOU BRING TO 'THE TABLE' shows WHO YOU TRULY ARE and your winning spirit...meaning that even though life may kick you down, YOU ALWAYS GET UP! Keep being Y-O-U!!!! 😉

I can't help but to think how grateful I am for this journey I am on...not just as a single mom, but as a WOMAN!!! 💜Months ago I was super ill and diagnosed with a mold illness that kept me confined to bed rest for many months and not able to be totally involved as a mom as I was used to being. I also dealt with some weight gain from meds that I hated taking all the while not being able to be as active as I was used to...boy, my tummy was super bloated and my jeans were snug! 🙄 My guys were so supportive as I headed down the road to recovery and getting my WELLNESS back on track. I must say, I am not as puffy and the 4/6 graduation dress I chose looked perfect on me with room to spare! Now don't get me wrong, I still have more tweaking to do, however, I'll get there! 😊 I say all of this to say, if you want your wellness to be a certain way, it takes work.......and a lot of it!!! Thank you Le-Vel and yet another start to my Thrive Experience!💪 Come on DFT DUO, whatcha gonna do! 😉

Short-term sacrifices are okay!!

Short-term sacrifices surely do make a huge difference in where your life can go! Sometimes we may have to skip that mani/pedi, that drive-thru lunch, that hair appointment, that new outfit, that night on the town, or not eat out twice a week to free up the extra cash to work towards a bigger dream. 💜Trying to keep up with the Joneses is the main reason why so many people can't get their goals/dreams off the ground. Don't try to be like anyone else or be afraid of what they may say. It is your life. 😘

There are so many 'hard' things in this world. It is up to you to choose your 'hard'. My choice, not to be a broke single mom taking care of FOUR SONS after dealing with domestic violence. Period. My sweet boys didn't deserve that. My sons lost the ability to be raised in a home with a two-parent income. So I wanted to make up for that without spending time away from them and paying lots of money for someone else to watch them while I worked extra hours AFTER teaching (at that time) a FULL DAY ---no. If I knew what I had known now, I surely would have started my businesses sooner!!!! I'm a SINGLE MOM ENTREPRENEUR!! I love in SHORT PUMP...in case you didn't notice...psssst, I am BLACK and I live in a predominately white neighborhood, in a nice HOUSE, and my neighbors are FREAKIN' awesome!!!!! I chose to WORK HARD TO GET HERE ....and I didn't QUIT and I don't borrow money from family, and I'd NEVER ASK! To have any form of success, you have to work HARD for it. 😉
