She doesn’t trust this–this girl really. If the expression upon her face is anything to go by, she’s more than a little skeptical. Maybe not as far as blatant distrust goes, but enough to be weary which is something she doesn’t like to entertain in practice.
But they do know more about this place than she does, and she’s only just awoken here moments ago, impacted into a new place that’s eerily close to her own home. ( except it’s not her home??? It’s something new, and it’s something capital- “I” interesting in a way that makes her excited to explore it, and learn of its secrets and whatever it is that makes a world like this exist separate from the one she’s held a home in. ) Of course life over exploration should come first shouldn’t it?
“Hmm.”
She starts, one of her shoes tapping against the asphalt of the street as she stands there, arms crossed with a careful look of thought upon her face as she thinks it over.
The suspicion riles up and tip-toes over like bile in her throat at the idea of going anywhere with this stranger and she knows she could well enough decline if she chose to but well… she’s out of options isn’t she? And a little misplacement of distrust could be put away for while. It can’t hurt that much. maybe.
“ Fine. I’ll go with you. But you better uphold to that promise bucko. I don’t want anymore funny business. I want the truth, or at least something to help tie this whole thing over for me to understand.”
She waits patiently for a response, well, as patiently as she can muster.Watching the way their shoes tap against the asphalt as they cross their arms and turn their head in a way that to Jessica looks almost sickeningly adorable if Jess wasn’t so unforbearingly restive at the moment as she was adamant about leaving.
She can only hope the answer she gets is a yes or a close singular variation of the term. Because any synonym of no or even maybe so wasn’t going to cut it. Not out here. But she isn’t about to start dragging people by the scuff of their collar, arms and feet kicking and all to get the job done either. She’s done it all before with those who thought they were better off tackling this city’s problems on their own, and those that did walk away never really did make it back out alright so... she can’t be so lenient with this one.
“ Great, fantastic. Are we done moping around here? Because I can think of twelve other different things I could be doing right about now in the comfort of my cozy little home and under a blanket than to be out here in the post modern-esque rendition of this city side’s silent hill.”
she turns to go, but stops herself, looking back.Just to make sure they’re coming along and not just going to stand back and hang for couple more minutes than neccesary.
“Are we.. gonna go or what?”
