Hiii welcome!

I'm no longer posting about my game here but feel free to read anyway :)

This is @purrshadow. This is my blog to talk about the game I’m planning to make. I’ll share designs and concepts here. Feel free to ask me about the characters, plot or anything else! I may or may not take suggestions for characters.

Every character has specific stats based on their “style” which is either a personality, style of fighting, or weight. They will be tags for a Character's style convenience. There are 16 styles. The info about styles are here ⬇️

There are also Elements which are more susceptible to change. Each character can be one of three elements. They affect some stats and are good or bad against other elements. Info for Elements are here ⬇️

I think I've given up on talking about my game on @purr-game-design

I need more stuff to talk about on my main anyway and I just kinda gave up posting there. I'll leave it up but I won't post there anymore. At least not until I could possibly post more consistently on there. Plus it's still got some important info there that I'm too lazy to transfer lol

Part 2 of the new drawn characters! (Totally forgot about posting this...)

I've added a lot more characters soooo...now the goalpost's kinda been moved. 45 characters drawn and 34 to go. Almost got 50 drawn though!

This is part 1 of 2...I drew so many characters I have to split it up...

I'm not gonna do facts for every character this time though...I don't have as much info about some of these guys.

It took me so long...

It took me so long to just figure out that the reason Mace's hair always looks so wrong is...because he just needs a hat/helmet. Not the hair.

So yeah hopefully I'll have the design for the FIRST CHARACTER THE PLAYER MEETS done soon.

What is with the two mains and not figuring out their design??

Also I have more essays and mechanics to talk about soon.

Here are the new characters! (well a redraw of one but still counts) 10 on a single page! Sooo...I'll give one fun fact for each character. Going from top left to bottom right.

So yeah 22 down...31 to go...yay...

Pincushion is the World 4 villain along with Bones. He's created Cloak. (and maybe other characters if I come up with them) And Cloak HATES his GUTS.

Bones is again, the World 4 villain. He's also missing his arm under his shawl.

Glow Stick is planned to have Hatsune Miku-type hair in her song element.

Sword is a douchebag.

Calamari has a rivalry with Ring. (as shown in the drawing) and always have flakes coming off of them.

Canvas's drawing is alive and attacks for Canvas. Which is why Canvas is lazy. Though it is who Canvas wants to be.

Ring claims she's from Saturn and that she traveled through space for most of her life.

Bandage struggles with taking care of himself, he always wants to heal others instead.

Potato is the second character I made and the first who doesn't attack and only does augments and deducts.

Selfie Stick and Camera have a DEADLY rivalry. But it's mostly one sided. (On Camera's side obviously.) Selfie Stick does everything Camera hates. Filters, shaking camera, bad angles.

Cards, Pearl and Bubble!

The card game they’re playing is up for interpretation.

This was just my excuse to draw Pearl with her new design because it only changes one thing really. And to draw Cards again.

(I REALLY need to draw the other characters...but I probably won't.)

You know I...haven't even talked about the Categories yet

Tbh there's not much going on with them. They're basically rarities. But are based on what the objects are.

Ex: Tools, Weapons, Macabre, Fashion, Tech, Mineral, Fantasy.

There are still more than what I mentioned but there's not THAT many. And at first I wanted to be a bit picky and make the rarities what I wanted them to be...but it posed some issues. Because the categories are VERY poorly scaled...

And without realizing I made the category with the most objects in it (weapons) be LITERALLY THE HARDEST TO GET. 11/50 characters were in it! And there was a 3% chance to get one if you got a full object! (Still figuring out how the gacha will work IN FULL but that's another story...)

So yeah that was SUPER unfair. So I changed it so that the more objects there are in that category, the more likely it is. I don't want things to get super complicated and unfair. But it's better now. Now weapons have a 15% chance. Which is the second highest. The highest is Tools now. With 22% chance to get any 15 tools.

I don't think it matters to add info on categories HERE though. It's all just percentages...only other thing I can think of talking about is that I need more Macabre characters since I have only 2.

Yes I made that joke. I had to. And Luminaire is such a smart-aleck.

Also I tried my best with the dress. Not too good at ruffles so I tried my best while going for a minimal design. Also Camera's lens eye is surprisingly hard to draw/work around. Especially since it's supposed to be a circle inside a circle...but I'm gonna simplify it for stuff like this. And probably similar details for other characters.

...I really need to draw the other characters...

A REALLY HUGE ramble about them below sooo I'll add the keeping reading thing. No spoilers for the story of W5 or anything. (Especially since I have no clue what the story will fully be)

Don't say I didn't warn you

They're all sooo chaotic. And pretty evil. They hang out in Microphone's theater all the time. They basically trap people in the theater and have the people go through all sorts of challenges and record it to become famous basically. Or spend time embarrassing their contestants. They'll argue and bicker a lot but are still always all friends. (Camera and Luminaire will NEVER admit it though)

Microphone

Microphone is obviously the boss/leader of the group. He does most of the talking and dramatic announcements. (Ngl he has slight Shadow Milk Cookie energy...)

But yeah he does have a bit of a temper "off-camera" but when performing he's super calm. He would slap someone for damaging his equipment. (Unless it was Luminaire or Camera.) He does editing for any shows they do that aren't live as well.

He likes experimenting with his clothes a lot, but will mostly wear his favorite suit with his favorite feather boa if he wants to be fancy. He'll add accessories a lot and sometimes wear a dress.

(btw I'll probably just end up using corresponding pronouns depending on how masculine/feminine I draw him. But he is genderfluid.)

Camera

Camera admires Microphone. Especially how Photogenic he is. (He's lowkey a bit obsessed.) His lens eye can't take pictures but it can zoom in, has different types of focus, and CAN use filters...but Camera hates filters with a passion. The easiest way to anger him would be to turn the filter button on his lens on.

He likes his 1930s-style suit, and loves how photos were taken in the past. And while he hates filters, he doesn't mind looking at ACTUAL photos that naturally are black and white and have a sepia tone. but a fake one will make his blood BOIL. He also has a GIANT camera collection of all kinds and types. Including the VERY old kinds that take forever to take the photos.

He is a perfectionist beyond comprehension. Taking many photos at different angles to get the perfect visual. Luminaire is annoyed by it but Microphone doesn't mind posing for longer. For videos though he tends to be more laid back, knowing it's more about the theatrics for the video, rather than having PERFECT angles, since some moments can't be retaken.

He can tend to be tired and talk slower than the others. And not be as energetic. He secretly enjoys drama but pretends not to care. (Like in the drawing where Luminaire and Microphone are chasing one another and he's just...staring.)

Luminaire

Luminaire is the more silly yet laid back one of the group. They're particular about lighting and making sure things look right, but they're not as much of a perfectionist as Camera.

They in fact likes messing with the group. Stealing things, (like the feather boa in the drawing) messing with people, going off script sometimes. Microphone does admire how smoothly their spontaneity runs. Because a show still never goes wrong with them around.

They do like paralyzing the contestants with stage fright as well or blinding them with the lights. Luminaire and Camera will physically fight a lot but are just fine after one or the other wins.

If given full free reign they would host a whole rave show. But they like to be formal as well. Basically just a social chameleon.

So basically...

Luminaire - Extrovert

Okay that's all lol. I have a problem. Help. :)

Luminaire, Camera, & Microphone!

FINALLY I CAN SHARE THESE IDIOTS. THEY'VE BEEN LIVING RENT-FREE IN MY HEAD FOR ABOUT A MONTH. THE LOSER IN THE MIDDLE IS EVEN MY PFP ON THIS BLOG.

They're WORLD FIVE VILLAINS. I'M ON THE WORLD 3 STORY!!!

They're all jerks but silly. And their designs are basically final, mind a few tweaks and accessories. I'ma ramble more in the next post.

He's the villain for World 2 and technically World 1. You don't interact with him in World 1 though. He's an insane little guy. Bit of a sociopath by definition. I need to draw his lil minions too...

Talking about Augment and Deduct

I really suck at remembering Deduct has Life Steal.

I set that when I set Augment as Healer. I set Deduct as Lifesteal to make it even but I don't have an idea on who should get it.

...To be fair I forgot all about healers in general until character NINETEEN. Which is Bandage! I literally made him to be the first healer.

Fae Wing is a healer too and is the 4th character I made but I only decided that SOOO long after making Bandage a healer.

Also for some context Augment and Deduct is basically Buff and Debuff.

Stat Descriptions

Atk

Affected by physical skill and effort.

Def

Is affected by how good they can take hits, heavier characters take hits better.

Atk Spd

Affected by their will to attack, or how heavy they, or their weapon are.

Spd

Affected by how light/heavy they are, or their motivation.

Connected to both cooldown and physical speed

Crit Rate

Affected by how much the character can focus/chill.

Crit Dmg

Affected by how lucky the character is.

Augmnt

Affected by how much magic the character has at their disposal.

Boosts in positive stats changes, whether given or accepted. And lessening negative stat changes. Also affects healing.

Deduct

Affected by how evil/negative they are

Boosts in negative stats changes towards enemies, whether given or accepted. And lessening positive stat changes towards them. Also affect life steal.
