The Slow Rhode

I had some duck confit poutine here once that blew my mind. It’s a tiny place but it’s got fancy cocktails and fancy food at Providence prices.

Saint Monday

Half coffee shop, half bar, this place just opened a few months ago and is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots. Their cocktail menu is bumping. It’s mostly small plates for food right now, but I expect by March they may be doing full dinner.

Rebelle Artisan Bagels

Female-owned, local bagel shop. The owners announced that in 2019 they’ll be sharing the profits with all employees. How could you not love this place?

RISD Museum

Don’t sleep on the RISD Museum. It’s a fairly sizable museum with many exhibits, including one dedicated only to RISD alumni and students. Admission is $15.

The Nitro Bar

Co-located with a local bike shop on Broadway Street in Providence’s Federal Hill neighborhood, the Nitro Bar is slinging nitro iced coffee that has won them best iced coffee in R.I. two years running. This is a can’t-miss spot for caffeine.
