Midoriya admiring Bakugo in the moonlight. His chest rising and falling rhythmically as he slept in Midoriya’s bed. That’s right, Midoriya’s bed. He had no idea how he managed to pull the absolute love of his life, the boy he grew up with his whole life, and the hottest guy in school. The dark room was lit up with the soft white light, spilling all over the carpet, the bed, and spreading across Bakugo’s shoulders. Those glorious, glorious shoulders. Midoriya was known for his All-Might shrine, but not everyone knew how he often dreamt of building a cathedral, laying each brick by hand, just to worship Katsuki Bakugo. His face was grumpy even in sleep, his eyebrows set in a permanent furrow.

Midoriya pressed impossibly closer in the already tight embrace they’d fallen asleep in, and smoothed his thumb in between Bakugo’s brows. They relaxed only a little before returning to their scrunched state, and Bakugo shifted a little, a disgruntled noise coming from his muffled place in the covers. Midoriya could absolutely die from the cuteness of it all. He couldn’t emotionally handle having the opportunity to go head to head with his rival everyday, and yet also get to see this side of him at night, where he snored a little even though he’d deny if Midoriya ever brought it up, where he held him close even when he was fast asleep, and where Midoriya could lean in so close and observe every detail of his face.

He’s long ago written down (in one of his many extensive notebooks about his precious Kacchan) that his eyebrows were a darker blonde than the rest of his hair. Who knew why. He’d never done anything to them to make it so. But little things like that made him so endeared to the explosive hero in his arms. Made him seem more human. Bakugo couldn’t reach his back with his hands so he had to ask Midoriya to help him with his lotion. When he couldn’t hear him in a crowded area he’d put his arm around Midoriya’s shoulders and lean down until he could whisper in the blonde’s ear. Bakugo would nod as he payed attention and would whisper back, before leaving a secret kiss on his ear. It made goosebumps spring up Midoriya’s side and he would shriek and try to pull away. Which is probably why Bakugo did it.

Bakugo was the sun in Midoriya’s universe. Everything revolved around him. A shining star that burned brighter and brighter the closer Midoriya got, and he didn’t care if he got burned while he was at it. Seeing his star sleeping in the moonlight, he got a little overwhelmed and had to squeeze his human teddy bear tightly as tears fell from his traitorous eyes. God forbid he felt any emotion, especially around Bakugo, and he’d spill immediately. As he sniffled, Bakugo stirred, readjusting his hold to bring him closer, turning so he was spooning the nerd tightly. Bakugo shoved his face into his neck and tugged on his curls playfully as he muttered, falling back asleep, “…crybaby”
