Everyone, if you are out planning to do your usual things out there for 2026, please be careful if there any ICE Police agents where you are in.
If they confront you, don't say anything.
Stay Calm: Do not panic, run, or resist physically; keep hands visible.
Remain Silent: You don't have to answer questions about your citizenship, origin, or status; clearly say, "I choose to remain silent".
Ask if Free to Leave: Ask, "Am I free to leave?" If they say yes, calmly walk away.
If Detained: Ask, "Do you have a warrant?" If they say no and you're detained, state, "I do not consent to this search" and "I want to speak to a lawyer".
Show ID (If Detained): You must provide your name and show valid identification if detained, but you can refuse to show documents proving your country of origin.
Don't Lie or Sign: Never lie or provide false documents, and don't sign anything without a lawyer.
Record if Safe: If possible and safe, use your phone to record the interaction.
Right to ask if you are free to leave or being detained.
Right to refuse consent to searches.
Carry your valid state-issued or Tribal ID and a "Know Your Rights" card.
