If you bleed out you’re not necessarily in pain. Blood doesn’t equal pain. Not even discomfort . But still your body shakes from fear
The pain is somewhere else - but it is registered. Your body knows things you don’t.
You’re an animal and nature is cruel but fair
bodies are always hidden. no one knows what a body looks like. If you make love in the dark you don’t know if your lover has a mole or a rash on their shoulder. No one has the same elbow. Everyone has the same elbow.
Step 1: everyone has the same body regardless of sex. we all have the same amount of knees, breasts, ass, nose. Even the people who have less knees and nose.
Step 2: disability and sex. Now how many bodies does that get us to? One human body. Two human bodies: men and women. Disabled bodies: is that three bodies? four bodies?
Step 3: transsexualism. Six bodies?or still just 1?
fashioning a new body. The way clothes fall on the body makes it look the way we think it does. Body modification happens first through clothes. You could have any body you want - post humanism happens in your wardrobe
Self-imposed trauma. rituals: recreating in a controlled microcosm the violence of life. Understanding through pain. Appropriating. Equivalent exchange. The permanence of alchemy
