I feel like Kaneki would be very guilty because of what happened to Hide during their encounter in sewersš so I wanted to show that. Maybe heād wrap his kagune around Hide unconsciously to keep him safe š

It was literally impossible for me to draw this past month because of fuckass bombings, stress and lack of basic human needs so Iām a bit pissed but still so happy this thing is finished!!

Hereās some art + basic premise/ideas I have for my Hidekane Spiderman AU fic! ;v; Yayyyy
(Sorry if itās a little long-winded, I suck at being concise)
Just a heads up, Iāve only seen the Toby and Andrew Spiderman movies. The animated ones make me motion sickā¦ š„²
Anyways, hereās some of my ideas/plans, without over explaining too much:
The current WIP title is Tokyo Spider. I think I suck at names/titles so Iām open to suggestions (and Iāll give credit).
Hide is a photographer in this AU ;)
Their dynamic is initially a bit one sided because Kaneki is a victim of comp-het (not that Hide is subtle in the slightest; Kaneki is just hella denseā theyāre both bisexual idiots). Itās slow-burn so itāll be mutual eventually lol.
After the spider bite, his hair starts to go white, starting from the roots, and he gets little fangs. He hides the fangs with a mask usually (replacing the eyepatch).
I mentioned a ātwistā in the tags last timeā Surprise, this fic is also technically a vampire AU!! (Because what is Tokyo Ghoul without a little cannibalism-angst šš«¶)
This fic is only gonna be half-angsty dw. The blood thing is more of a craving than a physical need. Thatās the extent of it tooā he has no other vampire traits, and everyone else is human. He also can eat normal food in this AU, but it just tastes like nothing (besides coffee, of course).
Iām a nerd so I was actually pulling more from irl spider feeding mechanics lol. I basically said āwhat if Spiderman was even more spiderā¦ā and ran with it. There will be some other additional traits in this vain, but this is the major one.
I donāt think I need to explain the above image lol.
(I fully subscribe to Anxious-Kaneki and ADHD-Hide headcanons).
His spiderman design is based off his combat outfit from the manga! I just added a hood and the magenta gradient plus spider/webs also the hip windows. Why magenta and not red, you ask? Because magenta is surprisingly abundant in the manga covers š¤· and it looks nice.
Anyway, I didnāt draw the rest of the characters but I will be including much of the cast in some way or another, including some Aogiri and CCG!

(Unfortunately updates will be infrequent and sporadic because I have chronic-eepy (CFS) and migraine-related photosensitivityā¦ Thankfully tho I can write from bed between naps, and I frequently use Voice-Over to spare my poor eyesight and avoid migraines lol).
