・・・ “I grew up here in the summers, I suffered a pitchfork through the foot, fought being embarrassed, yelled at my Nana (which is a big no-no, kids), I drank a pumpkin shake that I’ll never forget, I almost drowned in the hottub im now almost too big for. My Papa built this place for Nana, for all of us, in the deep heart of Southern Oregon. It’s a great place for bologna sandwiches during a long day of chopping wood, and eating things like radishes raw (I hated these when I was young). But now it continues to house growing memories. A word, ask your grandparents everything, ask your parents everything, you never know how long anyone has. Today we passed the threshold of a year since Papa’s passing and I can only hope that I can attest to the torch he carried.
