Realizing youâre stuck babysitting a crazy ass kidâŚ
this vine is a work of art
âYeah, it's, uh--â
He's barely listening. Hell, he's barely awake. Charlie can't remember if he went to bed, or the last time he went to sleep, and the logical part of his brain is telling him he shouldn't be working right now.
âWait, m' sorry. Say tha' again. I swear I heard you ... M' jus' making sure I 'eard th right thing.â

THE CUTEST HOWL EVER
"I donât think it helpâs that Dadâs a good cookâŚ"
Geoff rubbed Kaiâs head gently, another giggle coming from the toddler who decide to make room and sat on Geoffâs lap.
"Especially this one. Eats like me on a good day."
Their family was back together again. Geoff couldnât have been happier. Kisses were placed between children and parents, Geoff ending the moment with a kiss to Charlieâs lips. Of course, that ended with tiny âEw!âs and âNo!âs.
"Just happy youâre back. Plan on staying a while?"
"Growing up to be all big and strong, huh?"
Hands reach out to playfully tickle his son's side, the eruption of laughter that spills from the boy's lips bringing and even wider grin to the Welshman's on face.
The moment was perfect in its simplicity. The four most important people in his life were with him, and that was all he needed. The Welshman leans slightly to reciprocate the kiss, playfully groaning back at his children.
"Of course. The thought of looking at another plane makes me want to tear my hair out."
I just got back, I know buuut, I'm like semi-hiatusing all my blogs starting next week.
All Geoff could do was watch the embrace. All three tiny bodies just curled into their dad, giggles of happiness bouncing off the walls. The best surprise ever for them. And seeing Charlie accept the wonderful sunshine of love brought tears to his eyes. Happy tears now. No more sadness, no more void. Just their family together again.
Geoff hoped his bed wouldnât be occupied with toddlers who couldnât sleep because they missed Daddy too much. No. Now it would be five bodies in the bed instead of four, just because the kids wanted Daddy home. They could be their family again.
"Donât worry. You arenât the only one who didnât want them to grow. They just wonât stop, either. They eat so much now.â
Charlie melts into the embrace, arms wrapping even tighter around his children. The little giggles and whispers of their voices made his heat soar; nothing brought him more joy than his kids.
Groaning playfully, he adjusts them all so two are sitting on one of his legs and one on the other. For a moment he just stares at them as if it was his first time ever seeing them.
"I can see that! Looks like I'm raising football players!"
drunk-as-dicks:
The front door opened, a tiny âDad?â could be heard.
"Up here with your surprise!"
Three small pairs of footsteps began to rush up the stairs, more adult feet slowly behind. Geoff sat up, brushed away the happy tears from gray eyes. Those three pairs of feet immediately stopped in the doorway, Geoff nudging Charlie up. In high-pitched unison⌠"Daddy!", and three toddlers were on the bed, the twins with the help of Chase and Geoff.
Geoff sat back and watched as their children tackled their father and, understandably, ignored him,a wide smile on his face.
"I think youâve been missed."
The pitter patter of tiny feet brings an instant smile to Charlie's face. He missed his kids so much; they'd all become such a big portion of his life that not being around them made his life seems so dull.
"There's m' favorite girls! And boy."
He welcomes the three into his arms gladly, huddling them as close to his chest as he possibly could.
"I thought we agreed y' all weren't gonna all grow when Daddy wasn't around."
He immediately laid down next to Charlie, wrapping up the younger male into a warm embrace again. Tattooed fingers traced mindless lines against any inch of skin they could find. Geoff still wasnât tired of watching his husband blush at the smallest of motions. Nor would he ever.
"Donât worry. Theyâll do just that. Oh, I think I just heard a car pull in. Brace yourself, baby.â
Charlie gladly curls up in his husband's arms, face pressed into his chest. There had been so many nights where his body ached for simple contact such as this. Without even realize, the younger man has worked himself to tears; they're not sad ones, of course.
"I've been bracing myself for the past few months."
Cerulean eyes admired gray, soaking in the complete and utter outpouring of affection. He missed looking into them; they were still as beautiful as ever. Geoff didnât want to stop staring. Nor did he ever want to let of the man in his arms. Yet he still began to slowly lead the younger to their bedroom, the place (besides Charlieâs office) that always felt the most empty.
"Yeah. We can lay down. Canât guarantee that you wonât get jumped on. Theyâve gotten so big, you wouldnât even believe.â
Thin fingers lift to rub at his eyes before arms lift into a stretch. When Charlie comes to the realization he's betting stared at, heat creeps into his cheeks and he can't help but chuckle.  Feet slowly carry him from the kitchen to their bedroom and the Welshman nealy moans when he sinks down onto the bed.
"I don't mind, really. They can jump on me til they pass out if they really wanted. I jus'Â wanna see 'em and kiss on 'em."
yep. I've decided to use him as my secondary fc.
drunk-as-dicks:
Geoff reached up to cup Charlieâs cheek, thumb gently rubbing against strangely stubbled skin. A nice surprise, one that would take some getting used to. He was just happy to have his husband back where he belonged.
"Well, theyâre with Chase, whoâs on his way over with them. They have no idea youâre back. Wanted to surprise them.â
Charlie tilts his head into Geoff's touch, lips pulling into a smile. He'd been craving the affection for months now; he was definitely going to soak all of it up and not say a word about it.
"Mm. Okay. God, I missed their little faces so much; I think m' Da's gonna swing by in a few weeks cause he misses 'em too. -- Do y' think we could jus... lay down for a few minutes? I think I lied."
drunk-as-dicks:
"It was cute, stop it."
Geoff just held Charlie close, the warmth he missed for so long flooding back to him. A memory that was never quite forgotten, a memory that helped him sleep at night. Charlie being gone took a toll on him, but if one good thing had come out of that, Geoff had stopped drinking. He didnât want his husband to come home to a broken man with an addiction because drinking away his feelings was the best choice. No, breaking the Welshmanâs heart was the last thing he ever wanted to do.
"Wanna sleep instead of drink coffee? Iâll be right there, just like I was before you left.â
Charlie's frame melts against his husband's; he bows his head to press his face into Geoff's shoulder and for a while, that's exactly how he stays, fingers curled tight in the back of the man's shirt. When he lifts his head, he tiredly nuzzles his nose against Geoff's cheek, sighing heavily.
"No, no. I-- I wanna see you, and th' kids. I can jus' crash later."
