I swear, if I see one more person say that Sam was selfish when he gave up the shield, I’m going to fucking loose it.
It’s mainly white people saying this and I’m not surprised. How else would they realize that Bucky was dead ass guilt tripping Sam into thinking he’s was in the wrong during the therapy scene? How else would they realize that Bucky telling Sam to give the cops his ID was so damn privileged and wrong? They were only on Bucky’s side, why? Because he’s their broken little white boy and “HiS vOiCe CrAcKeD a LiTtLe”.
Bucky was the most selfish person in that episode. That whole “If he was wrong about you, then he was wrong about me” line made me cringe a little. He didn’t take a second to think about how Sam felt. He simply assumed that Sam was just throwing away Steve’s legacy even though in the first episode Sam LITERALLY explains why he gave the shield to the museum and his stans stay oblivious. He was simply projecting his felling onto Sam and Sam didn’t get a chance to fully articulate his emotions. Recognize it.
And as for the newer Sambucky shippers,
Look I’m glad that there are more people in the fandom, but y’all keep talking about the field scene and the scene where Sam puts his legs in between Bucky’s and it’s kinda getting annoying. And I mean I get it, more shipping fuel for your ship, you’re excited, but there were so many scenes that were infinitely more important than the ones y’all are talking about. So instead of complaining about being queerbaited in the tag, start talking about the actual issue in the show that’s is being served on a silver plater. Racism.
I yield my time.
