“That would be great, baby. Thank you. Not feeling too hot today.”

   “ Yeah? Could’ve been the restaurant. I knew we would’ve been better going to our usual.” The Brit headed for the bathroom to see what he could dig out, thankful to find one of the pink bottles after only short while of searching. A quick check of the expiration date to make sure it was still good, and he was heading back for the other again.

  “ Found a bottle.” he said as he handed it over, a light peck pressed to his fiance’s cheek after it left his hands. “ You need anything else? I can offer you cuddles, if they won’t upset your tum.”

"Do you have any pepto bismol?"

   “ I dunno. There could be some in the bathroom? Been a bit since I’ve needed it, so I haven’t got the slightest. Want me to check for you, love?”

It’s pretty obvious Gavin was totally wasted by the time he got home from a night out with his boi. Honestly? He couldn’t even remember catching the taxi back. He couldn’t remember much of anything, but he still held a drunken grin as he caught sight of his fiance after somehow managing to work the front door open.

His steps were just a little off as he made his way over to him; his grin just seeming to grow dopier the second he was up close enough to interact with Geoff properly.

" ‘Ello, handsome~" he mumbled out with a slur, leaning in close immediately after saying the greeting and bringing his voice down to what could only be described as a loud whisper. "Don’t tell my husband I called you that. He might get a bit grumpy with me for it."

"You're scaring me..."

— Looking over to Geoff when he spoke up Burnie let out a sigh, raising a hand to run it through his hair slowly. He was just over thinking stuff. He was stressed and over worked and he just needed a break but that wasn’t possible when there was still stuff to do.

Sundays were her favorite. It was always the relaxing day, free of plans. Kari had got up early for a run with the dog, and grocery shopping. Getting back home, the state of their living room was not what she expected to find. Geoff had set up a blanket fort, poured some wine, and had a movie paused on the television. Marco got to him before Kari, licking him, and curling up in his side. Kari had to put away the food. "You know, I almost like our living room better this way," Kari smiled, putting away the new milk and eggs.

leaves their dirty clothes on the floor - Geoff

forgets to run the dish washer - Kari

pumps gas for the car - Geoff

drives when they’re going somewhere - Both, they switch off

rearranges the furniture - Geoff does the actual moving of it, but Kari is always the one who directs it

falls asleep with the TV on - Both

gets to use the bathroom first - Geoff, because he doesn’t take as long

decides the temperature for the ac/heater - Kari, she’s incredibly sensitive about

sets up holiday decorations - It’s another case of Geoff doing the actual work, but Kari directing it

leaves the lights on - Kari

uses the bathroom with the door open - Neither

fixes the plumbing (or calls the plumber) - Geoff tries to fix it, Kari calls the plumber

"Yeah, maybe." He stood in the middle of the kitchen, eyes wide as he examined the damage. Most of the mixture, of course, was on him. Some on the walls and floor, and yet somehow Gavin remained unscathed. Why had they even decided to bake a cake in the first place? Geoff never baked. Cooking was his forte. And Gavin, well. No need to go into that.  There was the faintest hint of red in his cheeks when a finger swiped away the goo from his face. The little things still made him giddy and nervous. Still. After all this time. But it was going to be a secret that he thought watching Gavin suck the batter off his face was super fucking hot. "Doesn’t look like it’s going in the oven, anyway. Guess it’s alright for it to taste bad."

"I didn't say it tastes bad." Gavin scoffed with a playful roll of his eyes. "It tastes bland. Like something a bunch of old aunts'd try bake you after their tastebuds've fallen off with age. I reckon the folks on the telly talked it up a bit much--- this'd be a crap wedding cake." Regardless, he still gave Geoff a cheeky wink as he returned the digit to his mouth to properly suck the rest of the batter clean from it. Oh yes, he'd caught the rise his little action brought.

Immediately afterwards, he wiped his finger off on the bottom of Geoff's shirt -- one of the only places where the batter hadn't managed to hit. No point in Gavin dirtying his own clothes, since he was still considerably spick-and-span. Lucky for some, huh? "Oh well, beginner's hardships anyway. Want me to try clean up here, while you go get cleaned off?" How sweet of him, actually offering to do the tidying up for once. He's already in training for top housewife.

"That looked easier on TV."

"Or maybe this is just the universe's way of telling us we're rubbish at baking cakes, and both us and our kitchen'll be better off if we get professionals to do all this toss for us." To be fair, it wasn't entirely their fault things'd gone horribly wrong. Their mixer must've been broken for it to be over-powered to the point where a large area of the room was now caked (pun intended) in the sticky mixture. They'd set it to the same level as the people on tv, hadn't they?

A sheepish grin formed on the Brit's face as he reached up a finger to wipe a stripe of batter off his fiance's cheek, before sticking the digit into his gob and giving it a taste.

"Well, at least it doesn't taste like absolute turd. Bit on the bland side, though."
