“Nah. Not that far out. Just the next city,” Arthur smiled, bringing the glass to his mouth. “You’ll get what I promised you. I’m a man of my word.”
"Y’seem like a promising guy, Artie. I like ‘ya.” Nitro took out a cigarette, catching his gaze in silent question as he fished for his light. — “What else is there- we dealin’ in cash?”

“I wish I knew how to make them. I envy you.” She sat down with him, not carrying about the how the floor was dusted with dirt and gun powder. This was much more important. This was magic at its finest.
Joanna leaned into him, watching with avid attention as he held up the mine and explained the process. Careful fingers grazed the outside of the metal in awe. It may not look like much now, but she knew it was going to be beautiful when it blew up. Whether it be during a practice or because of a way ward Buzzard who got too close.
“Its so interesting. You build all of them?” She looked at the igniter and tilted her head. She wanted to try it. Even the single spark had been pretty to watch, but maybe it was all just new and wonderful to her. She wasn’t even supposed to be down here.
“Can I try?”
Envied him? He was just another half life war boy. Stuck in his shop instead of going on the fury road without any luck of an explosion killing him on the spot. It could go both ways, he could ascend, or he could be stuck alive lacking a limb just like the rest of his helpers before he made them into human bombs for the road. — “Yeah, build ‘em all.” He murmured, holding the igniter closer to his face to watch the spark, colour bleeding in his vision as he placed the piece back together. Her next question had him frown, panic coating otherwise impassive features as he shook his head. “Y’can’t do that! S’dangerous enough bein’ ere as it is. If anythin’ goes boom on yer, ‘ya dead, and I’d go to hel! Yer’ watchin, not touchin’ shit.”

S’my space, got it?”

No, he meant to say, full-lifes had to dry off, but he was distracted – and caught hopelessly off guard by the sudden pull. Making a sound of alarm, Arthur stumbled forward. Not much to do but surrender. He’d already made things more difficult for himself as they were.
Nitro grunts as he takes the impact of his weight before humming contently at the warmth that envelopes him. Hugs, physical affections, they were all lacking it, craving it like bees to honey. The rest of his brothers were still busy hiding their needs with ego, but he was beyond that as he nuzzled into him contently, without having to worry of paint in the way. — “Feels nice,” he murmured.

The noise he made was mixed, surprise with a note of pain. Disoriented by conflicting sensations, thoughts, Arthur could only tip his head back and squeeze his eyes shut. The delicate shells of his ears flushed red, spreading down the back of his neck.
“Ch-Christ–”
"Who?” Nitro’s voice was breathy as he watched Arthur’s expression, contorting across his features prettily. He withdrew his fingers, spitting into them before easing his way past the hem of his boxers, the wet pads gliding against the skin of his arousal.

“When we didn’t have candles, we had blankets. Wasn’t always enough. Couple of times I thought I was gonna shiver to death,” he said, mouth creased in a frown. “Didn’t do much. B’fore now.”
"What’s a tree?” He canted his head in thought. “So it was cold at night where y’were from.” Nitro mused thoughtfully. —”Was there a special kinda food?”

She took a step back and ducked her head. “Sorry, I just- Sorry.” She gave him a smile and nodded her head. She would be safe. Or at least she would try her hardest not to.
She eagerly followed the war boy closely, practically clinging to him as she looked around the shop in excitement. She brushed the hair out of her face as she looked at the mine.
“Are they hard to build?” She tried to fight the urge to reach out and touch.
The compliment had him freeze up momentarily, heat spreading across his face before quickly shifting as he tried to focus on moving her from point to point safely. “...I think their pretty too- s’kinda why I like makin’ em,” He mumbled, letting her latch on. When they’re there, he points to the mine before moving to sit on the ground, fumbling with some pieces before pulling it open. —”S’not that hard. Maybe it just takes awhile, cuz you gotta be careful after y’pack the gun powder. Just gotta fit in the igniter, this thing-” He held it up away from the land mine for her to see. “Then y’push this to get the sparks goin’,” His thumb lands on a button catch, pushing it to make a single, bright spark.

“Don’t ‘ave metal but I got some black powder.” She reaches into her open cab and lifts out what was once a coin sack at some point and holds it out. “What’d ya got for it?”
"S’kinda small, ain’t it?” Nitro snorted. That wasn’t much, maybe for a few rounds of shot gun bullets, not enough for the armada. “’ll give you fruit, three apples. Deal?”

She laughed a little. She wasn’t sure how he would get the piano to throw flames, but she thought he would probably figure it out. “Its sort of like a table, with lost of buttons on one side. And yes, Piano and guitar sound pretty good together.”
"Flamin’ piano!” He cheered. “’m gonna work on that. Promise I will, soon as I can get a peak at one. ‘m gonna sneak to the vault if I have ta’, but I’ll build it.”
