Haven’t been here in a while
You know when you get swept up by a big wave, a wave that was so unexpectedly powerful, and you tumble? Everything becomes a blur, you’re in a hurry to find your footing, and for a moment, you don’t know where you are. You get up, with your hair covering your face, your nose and eyes stinging from the salt water, and realize that you’re only about 2 feet away from where you were.
It’s been a rough year. I had breakdowns, I lost a lot of hair, was diagnosed with Alopecia which led to more breakdowns, dealt and struggled with an old heartbreak, spent more nights in bed crying than I’d like to have spent my time in a new place, and countlessly questioned what I was doing with my life.
So that was my tumble. I’m still dealing with the aftermath. My hair is everywhere and my nose and eyes sting. A year is a short time relative to my lifetime but it feels like I’ve gone through a tempest.
