A rate is a ratio of two linearly related quantities, or more generally, of the variations of two functionally related quantities
An elaborate but clear definition of the term "rate". Good sharing of a link, as opposed to posting a video (which is very popular still).

Today, i learn on forces. A force is a push or a pull. People always have common misconceptions on forces. For example, in this video, it shows that the heavy and light ball being drop together at the same level. Both ball land together at the same time but the lighter ball re-bounce higher than the heavier ball. This is because the heavier ball has a lot of resistance towards acceleration and it take more force to accelerate it. :)

Holiday Assignment: My Science Blog
You are to follow the instructions below in order to complete your holiday assignment, due by the end of Week 1 Term 2. All subsequent blogs and tasks are to be done by Saturday 23:59 hrs every week.
Task A: Networking (or follow)
Log in to your tumblr account.
Go to pysci.tumblr.com and pysci211.tumblr.com and click "Follow" on both of the sites.
Go to the blogs of all your group mates and "Follow" them as well.
You will now be able to see updates of those you follow on your Tumblr dashboard.
Task B: Blog entries, comments and tags
Based on the topics covered in Term 1, you are to create ONE post (image, text, quote, video, etc) that is relevant to EACH topic.
Write a short description in your own words how this will help you learn that topic better.
Before submitting, you are to TAG each post with the chapter number of the relevant topics (For example, "Chapter 1: Particulate nature" you will tag it as "CAP1" and "particulate nature"). You are encouraged to tag it with other words that is related to the entry itself.
In each post, you MUST provide the source of the material you used.
