😡 - Biggest fandom pet peeve?

My biggest pet peeve is when people take one small aspect of a character's lore and make it their whole personality (talking in general right now, this is something I never liked in any fandom I've been and will forever be my pet peeve)

🌻 - If you could change a single thing about Hetalia as a whole, what would you change? This can be as drastic or as insignificant of a change as you'd like!

There are many things I would change but since most of them are related to Romano, and I don't want to sound like a broken record (and let's not forget that this blog is about Iceland + Nordics, my dearest favourite characters), I will say that one thing I would change is to make Ice live in a farm in Northern Iceland

To be fair, we never actually saw where he exactly lives but I would make it so that he lives in a typical rural Icelandic farm. I can't give a logical explanation, in my mind it just feels right

⚔ - In terms of the nation lore in the series, what would you like to see expanded upon or introduced?

I mentioned it in my previous post but surely Italy's lore (both North and South)

Romano doesn't really represent the South in all of its glory. I love him but I can't help but see him as a mix of Latium and Campania... kind of. Sicily alone could be a whole other character, literally, and don't get me started on Sardinia

The same goes for the regions in North Italy tbh. Each region has its own culture and dialect/language, not to mention the history. I love Romano and Feliciano but before they "popped to life", I would have loved to see all the other regions

Despite this, I am fully aware that the author couldn't have possibly made 20 + 2 characters just for Italy, so I am not really complaining, I fully get it. On the contrary, the endless possibilities that come with designing + writing the lore of each region keep me active and satisfied 👀 I love coming up with headcanons after all, it's my favourite activity

Thank you for the asks! I just got back from my classes (my brain is fried) and hopefully my English is English-ing

👄 - Which nation do you think has the most fitting voice actor? Whose voice do you think doesn't work?

For some people this might be too predictable but I love Iceland's Japanese VA. I find that his voice is very fitting with Ice's vibe... also, Iceland's songs >>>>

In this very moment I can't think of voices that don't work with the characters. Maybe I would have preferred if Romano had a deeper voice, like... more throaty? I say this because a lot of southern Italian dialects rely a lot on intonation (I will try not to complain too much about Romano's canon portrayal in these posts because I love him a lot, it's just that as a Southern Italian I can't help but have some strong ideas and headcanons about him)

🗿 - Do you have a single favorite headcanon (either from yourself or someone else)?

I'm sure that I read this headcanon around a lot but in this very moment I can't remember who said it (when I find the post again I will link it here), but I love the headcanon of Iceland that has a very active lifestyle

I imagine him hiking and climbing a lot, and I like to think that he is also an excellent swimmer!

⭐ - You're allowed to pick three countries to be introduced to the series. Who do you pick and why?

Okay so, as I mentioned above, I have my own personal portrayal of the ItaBros, and this to say that I think that all the Italian regions should be introduced to the series. Like, can you imagine? North and South Italy and their 20 older siblings

But since I have to pick three Countries, and technically speaking the Italian regions aren't exactly Countries, I will just say: Argentina, Macedonia and Mexico!
