Willapa Valley: Beta Release

After about four months of work, I am releasing a beta version of my world. This is mostly because I had to export it as CAW’s “Edit in Game” mode keeps crashing on me. At this point, all that’s really left is smoothing out some roads, fixing accidental floating plants/trees, and building residential lots. There are NO spawners in this release so it’s not necessarily playable yet.

The world takes inspiration from the Pacific Northwest region of the US. More specifically, where the Columbia River reaches the ocean; with Long Beach, WA on one side and Astoria, OR on the other.

Stats:

Large world size (Feels larger than most EA worlds to me)

100 lots of varying size.

Uses the expansions: Late Night, Pets, University Life(sparingly), and Island Paradise.

Uses only the Town Life Stuff Pack

I would recommend having Riverview installed just in case.

The only custom content used is Awesims Cornices which are included in the download file. Awesims no longer has them uploaded but has allowed them to be uploaded by others as long as credit is given.

I will continue to be updating this world and hopefully by this summer it will be completely finished and released!

Also, if you would like to build some lots to help me out, choose any empty lot and build! When you finish a lot upload it here and I may use it in the final release, crediting you. Use #willapa valley so I can find it!

hi can i please know how you edit your photos (sorry for my bad english)

Hi! well my edit is really simple because i’m really lazy haha

1.- I use the oil painting tool to make everything smooth and I use the recovery tool to erase the excess of “smoothness”

2.- since i’m super lazy I use this psd action to add brightness,contrast,saturation and sharpness

3.- then I make a soft vignette using a soft black brush on overlay mode with a opacity of 8%

4.- I use the blur tool and I add some redness on the lips,the cheeks,the eyes,the nose and the ears. (using a soft red/pink/peach brush on overlay mode with low opacity)

5.-and finally if i feel extra festive I use some actions to give the final touch,I always use these actions : 1 2 3

then i resize the pic,add some white borders and more blur if is needed and that’s it.Hope it helps :D

It’s unfurnished, as that’s what was requested; I really don’t feel like furnishing this one any time soon, but if I return to it I will post an update.

This lot is CC free. It may use items from any/all EPs.

Edit More Than One Sim in CAS at a Time Using MC

Here you go @freckled-pixels Hopefully it helps explain better than just me. lol

Okay, so first go to map view. You know how to do that. ;) 

Click on the green icon of your active household (although you can do this for any of the house icons that you see). Then select NRaas. Then Master Controller. 

You’ll get this screen, which may look familiar. Select Sim near the bottom. 

From the Sim menu you’ll click Advanced at the top (really looking familiar now, right?). 

Which gets you here, and you’ll choose Edit in CAS, as you typically would. 

This menu will show all the sims who live in your household. Click each one that you’d like to edit in CAS. 

You’ll get that all too familiar loading screen before your first sims appears. Edit them to your heart’s content, Accept, and then that loading screen appears for a few seconds once more before it takes you to another sim you had previously selected. 

That’s it! I hope I didn’t confuse you more.

Alice: Madness Returns Bones

Here are five decor objects converted from Alice: Madness Returns (from one of the dollhouse/dollmaker areas, I believe).  There’s a cat skull, a horse skull, a human torso, a bird skull, and a human skull.

They each have two non-recolorable presets (a brownish one from the original game files, and a more standard white bone color), as well as a recolorable option with one channel.

They cost §5 and can be found under Misc. Decor as well as the Cats tab in the Pets category.

next in my artists’ pattern series is barneby gates! barneby gates has a ton of interesting and whimsical wallpapers like the ones above! unfortunately a lot of them didn’t work with the size constraints of TS3 patterns, so i only ended up with four that worked well enough to release, but they’re the prettiest four, so it’s okay. :3

all four are seamless and two of them have recolorable channels. enjoy!

on your pictures, is the detail and cheekbones a skin or is it edited? because if its a skin or makeup where i would be able to find it if at all?

Skin details are all either skin or makeup - only shading and eyelashes are added! A lot of my newer images are using my own base skin blends, with certain sims having their own personal ones for details specific to them (e.g. Night’s nose scar, Vella’s all-over freckles, personal tattoos, etc.) but a lot of the details are makeup!
