Soft snow fell outside the window adding to the cozy atmosphere you had made in the kitchen, 2 mugs of hot cocoa sat on the counter. Christmas music played quietly in the background as you and Graham giggled and talked.
You were setting out all the ingredients needed to make a batch of sugar cookies. “Graham, could you grab the eggs from the fridge please?” You would ask setting down the armload of various ingredients, “of course love” he would press a gentle kiss to your temple before walking over to the fridge.
You would turn around and lean against the counter watching as Graham opened the fridge and bent down to grab the egg carton. You would smirk and let out a low whistle at the sight of him bent down.
Graham would move to stand up but nock his head on the door “fuck” he would hiss standing up properly hand reaching for the back of his head touching the spot he hit. Your smirk would drop instantly concerning taking over your expression. You would push yourself off the counter and approach him "I'm sorry i didn’t mean to startle you are you alright? That looked like it hurt” you would ramble out cupping his face.
“S’allright love i’m ok” he couldn’t help but smile at you, hand moving to rest on top of yours. “Sit down. You don’t have to help me bake, I don't want you getting hurt again” You would insist not wanting him to get hurt again.
Graham let out a quiet laugh and gently held your hand in his “i’m ok i promise i wont get hurt again.” he would whisper pressing a gentle kiss to your knuckles. “Now how many eggs do we need for these cookies?”
“Um” you would hum grabbing the paper with the recipe on it “one egg” you would reply looking up at him. He would nod, turning around to grab the egg. You would watch him and couldn’t help but slap his ass and snicker.
He would turn back around with the egg in hand and blush starting to dust his cheeks. You would gently take the egg from his hand and walk back to the counter. He would trail behind you and wrap his arms around your waist and nuzzle his face into your neck.
“Your nose is so cold” you would pout trying to pull away from his cold touch. “You're so warm s’so nice..” he would mumble into your neck. One of his hands would trail down to rest on the plush of your thigh enjoying how heat radiated from your body. “Graham why are you so cold!” you would shove his hands off you only making him pout.
You would roll your eyes and smile, grabbing a bowl to finally start making the cookies. You would start to mix ingredients on the bowl graham just watching you. In his eyes your moves were so fluent and confident like you were in your element.
“Could you preheat the oven for me?” you would ask him not looking up from the ingredient you were measuring out. He would nod and grab the paper with the recipe on it searching it for the temperature.
He would set the temperature and set the paper back down walking back to your side. “Do you wanna stir this?” you would look up at him offering him the bowl. He would smile at you and take the bowl from your hands. Your hands would leave the bowl then you would reach one up and smear a small amount of the mixture on his nose.
He would stand there confused for a moment before a grin started to grow on his face. He would work quickly, placing down the bowl and running his fingers through the flower that had gotten all over the counter. Then he would reach for you, large hand wrapping around your arm and tugging you into a hug.
His hand covered in flour would glide down your back before reaching your ass and squeezing it. You let out a startled squeak face reddening. He couldn't hold back his laughter and neither could you. Before he knew it you reached for the loose flower and pressed your covered hands into his chest.
The 2 of you almost instantly forgot about the cookies as you pushed each other around making a mess with flour. Graham would gently push you against the counter caging you in with his arms. You were both a giggling mess. flour leaving a gentle layer across both of you.
He would rest his forehead against yours as you both gradually started to calm down from your little foodfight. He would kiss your lips unhurried and gentle. Your hands would reach up cupping his face deepening the kiss. Graham would only pull away when you both needed a breath.
He would start to trail gentle kisses across your jaw and down your neck. “Graham..” you would sigh out his name and close your eyes. He would lift you up, placing you down on the counter not daring to pull away from your neck.
The oven started to beep, startling the both of you. Graham would jump back confused and you would sigh. “The oven is done preheating, we should finish the cookies” You would explain to him jumping down from the counter and walking back to the bowl.
Graham’s eyes would trail your movements before landing on the hand print he left on your ass.
DOL is genuinely an insane game to me. you can goon or you can face the eldritch level horrors that exists in the in-game lore. but before any of that, you need to pay life changing amounts of money each week in order not to get slimed by a bunch of grown adults. the guy who demands that money from you is in an asshit forced proximity hate-hate relationship with your sugar parent. said sugar parent is associated with multiple other weird people who run the most morally questionable businesses possible (don’t worry, treating humans like animals is okay but building a skyscraper isn’t!). one of them is a cult leader who hosts furry conventions every four weeks. speaking of cults. twilight is technically possible in the dolverse because vampires are hinted to exist. lovecraft-esque creatures can be made via cult rituals. you get haunted every so often by an apparition that tried to drown you. a gyaru bullies you at school. you can have dinner with pimp lucius. they mayor is an amateur filmmaker. said mayor is actually under the thumb of the guy who demands you to pay him each week. they still use medieval torture devices to punish criminals. the law is practically nonexistent. there’s no such thing as a good ending. and it all happens in a seaside city in the UK. what the fuck.
