Why is the idea of Maria being brought back to life a popular concept among Sonic fan works? Don't you think that would just render Shadow's character arc meaningless?

Meh not really. Shadow’s character arc is currently meaningless anyways.

I’m not expecting the guy to be a hero like Sonic because that would ruin his character, but then again we get NO sort of growth after what he has experienced from the Ark.

I just think bringing Maria back would help to build on his purpose again 🤷🏽‍♀️
