if anyone wants a short book to read, I think I'd recommend Où on va, papa? i picked this up at an old book store, and spent the night until 3 bawling. i do tend to get emotional over anything family-related, so take that as you will. despite that, this book hits me a little harder due to the portrayal of the disability of the author's children being extremely similar to a family member of mine. very good read. There is an english online PDF on OceanofPDF

Professor Layton is dead then. I will stick to the DS games, I was never that thrilled by the new game by the art alone and learning such a huge percentage of the game is generative AI means it's simply not on the table. Irrelevant game. I shall continue to appreciate Professor Layton for its original art and writing as that is what the games are about. The new game is a cheap cash grab, spitting in the face of Akira Tago. Rest in peace puzzlemaster

redesigns of some of my older characters. im pretty satisfied with them

og designs below (2021) & infodump

as per redesign i also updated a lot of their basic information.

Burntout belongs to division 5— the 0510s group. (subjects are seperated and sorted via number, similarly to how libraries sort books, i think. e.g 0510s are chemistry related whilst 0520s are more related to biology and living beings). Burntout specifically is #0514.5110

Burnout has no official name nor gender as she is an artificial being & not officially recognized/registered as a citizen/legal being. Despite that, Burnout has expressed a preference for feminine pronouns. Burnout does not mind her current alias. Asides from her metallic arm, everything else is customized (the fantasy knight mask and the grill/grid structure implemented onto her mechanical arm.).

Aman also belongs to division 5— 0520s. Aman's official code is #0528.122. Aman was supposed to be a study on whether fungi could overtake a human body and function exactly like an intelligent being. Using the body of a male human named Eino Virtanen (35, Finnish), the project proved sucessful. (Though, with significant side effects as 67% of the human vessel rotted/deformed in one way or another. This includes the vessel's mouth, which disabled Aman to consume like a proper human being. Aman uses 'stingers' instead, acting like feeding tubes as Aman sucks the nutrients out of his food.)

Aman himself is a fungi (his actual identification is unknown, but he belongs to the Amanita genus.), and seems to take care of his vessel well. His body (mainly arms) are restrained as Aman has a habit of unintentionally using the vessel's full strength for everything. The other 2 pair of arms behind him are of Aman's doing— entirely made up of fungi and are generally weaker in strength. They can be easily ripped off, and it takes about 7 hours for Aman to regenerate them.
