Cody was… Well embarrassing himself seemed to be the best way to put it. Only a couple of hours after the party started he was already on his way to getting utterly hammered. He couldn’t help himself. He’d been getting free alcohol after all. Now he was slumping around with his face red and a grin that couldn’t leave his face. He knew the party was supposed to be proper or whatever but it was hard to stay like that with so much booze in his system. “Jesus…” Cody said to no one in particular as he leaned himself on a wall. He laughed and shook his head thinking of how pathetic he must have looked amongst these rich people. “Is it just me or is the room spinning… Um. Really. Really fast?” He asked like an idiot. He dressed nice for the occasion. He just couldn’t find the right way to behave. Or function like the rest of them.
Elijah is around for work matters. They have not been out of the woods in quite some time and have spent a large chunk of their time adjuring several blueprints that are soon to be propotioned to the developers who will certainly put their design on a substansive display. This place is swarmed with those people. They need to build confidence and links as much as they possibly can, otherwise i will be an enormous missed opportunity. With a champagne in hand, Elijah knits their way to the more secluded portion of the building. There, they hear a familiar sound. Oh, Cody. Has he been getting himself drunk again? A flicker of disappointment tatters their expression. He’s had so much potential in him and yet he keeps on wasting his time. Cody is a fantastic illustrator. Someone Elijah could see themselves working with for years ahead. Alas, he doesn’t seem to have a decent grip on himself. Elijah paints a weak smile, watching him. “You’re just intoxicated I believe.” Elijah hums softly. “I take it you’re having fun?”
