Marina had heard about the yoga classes in the park and was interested in taking one. By the time she arrived though one was just finishing up so she went to ask about another one. “Well you are a mind reader. How often do you do these though?” She asked while bending down to roll up a mat.

“What? Teach yoga classes? Every week. Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.” Kalie replies, her smile inches to reach both of her cheeks. She’s glad someone is willing to help even if they’re a stranger. “Are you here for the three o clock class?” She asks. Maybe she can know her a bit more before they begin their next session.

Cory came in with Kimber to his side. He thought it would be good to spend some time the two of them and something she would be interested in too. “Yeah, we can do that now.” He smiled at Kimber, grabbing a few yoga mats and holding them to show to roll them, which she followed easily. “Sorry for coming early. Was just hoping to get in on time - I don’t know how these things works.”

Kali recognizes him as one of the students, or participants as it’s weird to call them her students when the majority of these people are much older than she is. “That’s fine, you can still join the second class if you like. Though it’s going to be indoor, I assume it’s only going to get colder later.” Kali offers a smile and she scoots a little so they can do the work without getting too interrupted. “How are you today,” she squints her eyes as she tries to remember him. “Cory, right?”

What a cutie. The sweet-faced brunette smiles and Barb feels like swooning, big brown doe eyes looking up at her as she happily accepts her offer. “ Just some strawberries – nothing to break the bank, but I didn’t know the market was going to be here today, so I didn’t have enough cash on me.” Barb admits with a soft shrug. Unable to help herself , she strikes up conversation, not exactly wanting the cutie to walk off too quickly. “ Were you walking by and saw them open , too? “ She asked with a brow cocked curiously. “ The fruits are amazing, but you seem more like a flowers kind of girl… I could be wrong – hell, I usually am.” She laughed.

“I love strawberries.” She’s grinning now and she doesn’t know if it’s an attempt to be amorous or just honest, perhaps a mixture of both. She just can’t resist that charming smile and voice that the other female carries. “You could say that, I didn’t want to miss my opportunity. I still plan to get as much as I possibly can plus a trip to Starbucks with an enticing woman now.” She adds, soon feeling her cheeks turn hot at how brazen she’s being. She has never been this teasing since forever, her life at foster care then endless homes never gave her the chance to be more adventurous. “I like both.” She replies. “I do love flowers, lilies especially. What about you? What kind of girl are you?”

It took Noor a moment to realize she was being addressed. “Oh, no, not at all.” She had been told yoga could do her good, help her with her tensions, but she was yet to make any concrete plans. “I just thought I would watch for a minute. See if it’s something I would like. I’ll help you with the mats.” Noor nodded firmly, the look on her face entirely neutral as she started to roll the mat nearest to her. Why not? She had already run her errands for the day and still had plenty of time until she needed to pick her daughter up from preschool. “Isn’t it really cold for that?” she inquired, head tilted to the side. “For an outside yoga lesson, I mean.” 

Kali smiles at the woman, glad she’s agreed to help and not turned out to be one of those rude passerbys. “I see. I should’ve known we would gain an audience.” Kali begins with a laugh. “But thank you so much.” It’s not easy to find a person who would will themself to help these days or maybe it’s a skewed perception of hers due to the amount of years she had spent being ignored by most of her peers except her foster brother, so it’s nice to be reminded not everyone here is a complete jerk. “It is, but those particular people find cold to be reassuring and I do believe yoga works best when you when you feel comforted and calm.” She explains. “They specifically asked for an outside session themselves, less people around also helps them focus.”

Daniel had been sitting on one of the benches for almost an hour now as he fiddled with his phone. It was rare to find him not at work but he genuinely was grateful for the spare time as he had begun to grow tired of hearing his boss’s yelling. He could use a long break away from that and the park seemed to be the best option. With a smile on his face, he went to observe what looked like a yoga session until it was all over. “Oh. No. Not really. I was just watching. Can’t do yoga for shit.” He said with a chuckle as he approached the girl. “Sure. I’ll help. You did good by the way.”

It’s not the first time Kali has heard someone say they weren’t able to do yoga for shit and she thinks it sounds funnier each time ---- it’s not mockful, she just thinks it’s silly how people behave as if yoga would feel like a grade A football match when it involves nothing but slightly complex limb movements. Still it’s not her place to judge him so instead of offering the stranger a hard time, Kali smiles warmly at him. “That’s fine.” Her eyes light up at the compliment. “Why, thank you. That’s sweet of you to say. Did you happen watch the whole thing?”

Lanky fingers frisked gruff material of denim jeans, awe struck through starry-eyed boy’s hues as he witnessed what he chalked as one of the most simultaneously amazing and amusing demonstration to ever exist in his general vicinity. Don’t get the young male wrong, Yoga was a thing he was familiar with but how the limbs became so  malleable and entangled to one another never failed to crinkle a smile on his face. Thin lips curvated into a warm smile, it helped the instructer was such a cutie. “I’ll help,” running his fingers through his hear. “How long have you been doing this?” 

Kali feels real gratitude rush through her veins at the approval. She takes care of her own things, it’s what she has been conditioned to do since she was a toddler caught between her bunch of foster siblings, but as she becomes older she’s grown more jaded and easily exhausted so his help now is very appreciated. “Thank you.” Kali strides to the side so they can work on one of the mats together if he asks her to. “What? Yoga?” She questions. “For a few years, I’m not a master or anything but I was able to learn to appreciate it a whole lot and to spread it around. More people should take yoga classes, it’s really good for the soul.”

While Kali presumes herself as a greenhorn of sorts to the world of yoga, she has surprisingly coached herself up to the top of the chain pretty fast. It did not take long for the young woman to reach the instructor position albeit being relatively uncertain of the title still ---- but now it’s been a couple of months of teaching and she has managed to attain a good amount of income out of it. It’s ten in the morning at the park and she has finished her first class, sweat glistening the uncovered parts of her skin as she huffs to roll up the mats. While she bends down to wrap the last three, she can feel a silhoutte closing in. “Yes?” She asks, looking up. “Were you here for the class? I’m sorry, but there won’t be another one until three. You can help me roll these mats, though.” She offers.

Barb was independent and prided herself on that way more than she should have. She hated to depend on anyone for anything and would rather die of thirst with her pride then ask a stranger for water in the desert, and more then that, hated to use her gender to get things. Still, everyone had a weakness, and hers were the organic strawberries that were out surprisingly early and on full display at the open market. She’d already spend all her cash on fruits and veggies, but the call was way too strong. Seeing someone nearby, she swallowed her pride and took a breath before putting on a sweet smile and pushing her glasses on the top of her head to make batting her lashes easier. “Hey…” She said as innocently as possibly. “ This is a strange request, but you wouldn’t happen to have five dollars you could lend to a stranger, would you? I’m out of cash and of course a farmer’s market wouldn’t take credit cards… If you like, I can pay you back at the nearest Starbucks?” She smiled, holding in a sigh at the things she’d do for fresh produce.

Kali is not careful. That trait alone has and is going to drive her into a lot of bad corners or nightmares, just like when she was twelve when she trusted one of her foster siblings to climb on a broken swing ------ but Kali likes to think it makes her more courageous than most. Sure it’s an awfully sugar coated type of mindset but it’s better than having to be mistrustful at all times. That drives you nowhere. It’s not like she can’t kick some butt if she needs to. Plus, she doesn’t think she can ever say no to such a sweet expression. This woman seems friendly. Like Mama Kate kind of friendly. “Um... sure.” She smiles, her face lighting up with the gesture. “What would you like to buy?” She asks, curious.
