It's November so it's time for me to pretend to write, but this year I'm pretending to write with a bunch of other people who actually do write. I'm hoping it will keep accountable so I can really get moving on this story I've had for a long time. Yay accountability! The people are part of a group called The Mighty Pens and they write words to raise money for charity! This year's charity is Every Mother Counts. Every Mother Counts raises money to help more women have safer pregnancies and births. Did you know the US is ranked 55th in maternal deaths? We still have a long way to go, and Mom's are important! So, as part of the group this year, I'm asking for sponsors (cue discomfort, but... It's good discomfort) You can donate a one time amount or, to keep me working, you can donate $X for every X amount of words (say $10 for every 10k I write, keeping in mind the goal of NaNoWriMo is to write 50k words in a month 😬). If you're interested in what I'm writing, maybe I can give a little sneak peak (I say as if it'll ever be a published work 🤣) I know everything is shitty right now. Happy adoptiversary pupper! It's been an interesting year, and I still miss Gerald every day, but it's a smaller hole than it used to be and now there's a Banjo shaped spot next to it in my heart. He's curious, expressive (aka grumble-y), pathetic, snuggly, ridiculous, loveable, and just has so much personality! He greets me every day when I get home with a whole slew of sounds and sometimes even presents, and I just love him! Plus his little nubbin tail just makes me happy. Banjo's first climbing trip! He turned out to be an excellent crag dog! There were the initial moments of anxiety but he settled down and was content to just lay on a rock. This picture was pre climbing anxiety... Also, it's weird to have such a photogenic dog. Gerald stopped doing the cute thing he was doing the second the camera came out.
