Band #5: Ghosts of dead airplanes are a smashing 3 piece from Birmingham. 10 tracks of audio for the live sessions, 4 drums, 1 bass mic and 1 bass DI, then a dynamic and a condenser on the guitar amp, 2 vocal for live tracking. Then extensive vocal and guitar overdubs The session overall took 10 hours, and we managed to fully record 10 tracks, 9 of which I have to choose from for my project. It'll be a tough one but going to be fun to mix

Quasar Sounds Session #2 - Jesuits

No picture I'm afraid :( but very excited about this band, I think it’d be a bright spot on the comp for sure, very tight 3 piece with a great career ahead of them, highest of fi’s so far in these sessions, very fun to mix and listen back. Look out for the track Wu & Shu out on the comp in April 2017

We had the band #DonJuan in the Quasar Sounds studio last week, for our first session. We worked on three tracks, “By Proxy”, “Cadet” and “Platform”. The band were extremely professional and very fun to work with, can't wait to show you what we worked on. The four piece play a well crafted post-punk style with a technical and raucous feel. Their guitar amps were separated rooms of the house (Not pictured) but all members were able to play together in the live room, I was keen on capturing their live feel. The band were limited to 7 channels for the initial play-throughs and we over-dubbed guitars and vocals after the fact. This is first of many groups to enter the studio with us and I’m very grateful for their involvement.
