rundown under the cut!
this is by no means a threat because fred is my fleshed-out boy and iâm pretty much a single blog kind of guy, but iâve watched almost all of the abc family drama b.rothers & s.isters over the last two weeks and iâd be lying if i said i wasnât tempted to write kevin w.alker. just for a bit of canon fun
every line on fred's face is a good one. seems to say something different. pash is no big reader but she's a keen study.
"i'unno," tongue clicks, "think you got it in ya. you could make it real romantic."
this preference, in and of itself, he finds romantic. without knowing me, how could you drop the anvils one beat late? how could you just miss me every time?
if it is an honest maybe-not-this-moment death wish, frederick is touched to have been made privy.
âand thatâs what you want on receipt of the fatal blow?â he asks. âromance.â
teeth pinch her lower lip to stem her grin. hi there. and her chin lowers into the cup of her palm.
âreal looney tunes-like.â does he know how blue them big quiet eyes are? âi want a caper. i wanna narrowly avoid landmines and anvils âtil itâs just...â
fred unblocks his face and scrunches it at her, with underlying warmth but overlying shame, as if itâs a love note he can crumple before sheâs seen her name at the top.
âi wouldnât survive killing the wabbit.â he doesnât even like to think of whatâs opera, doc?. âselfishly.â
âlike you can see through me and youâre premeditating all the ways you could kill me âbout it. both!â
gaze dips under the visor,
âso, are ya?â
the visor remains. the fingers comprising it wiggle, waving down at her.
âtell me how youâd want it done,â he says. âif i were to do it.â
âyour big quiet eyes are really freakin me out.â
@quasy
he makes a visor of his hand.
âlike i can see through you or like iâm premeditating murder?â
@bruisedpenny: a bowling alley with sticky floors and neon lights. / from pash lets fuckin go
under the buzzing, inconsistent glow of neon, frederick looks less himself than he realizes: the colors are absorbed and reflected unattractively by his skin, which is too pallid for the season. the shadows cast emphasize the lines above his brow as well as the hooding of his eyes, which when turned on any poor soul from the wrong angle can make him appear menacing, his features sunken into a face thatâd be friendly in another setting.
he has a lane to himself, down the far end. he hasnât returned to it in three beers, two hot dogs, and a roll of coins dumped into galaga. every so often he catches the score-keeping television screen from a distance as it rolls from a sinister animation to his initials, FLM, and thinksâfuck ly mife.
âiâm not a hobbyist,â he says as he drops his rental shoes onto the counter, held with two fingers of one hand. he smiles tiredly at the attendant. âdonât know what made me confident iâd enjoy it alone. iâmâthere.â he points. âif you want to give it to the next one.â
widow's bay: season 1.
dialogue prompts from the first season of widow's bay.
don't act like you're better than everyone else.
i don't want any gossip. not today.
apparently there's no age limit on syphilis.
what town doesn't have a checkered past?
there are some people who want to be miserable.
i don't know how to get through to you.
you cannot keep sneaking out at night. do i have to put bars on the windows?
god, _____ used to make me laugh.
you were the best surprise of my life.
i just want to keep you safe.
you just cannot stand someone else being in charge, can you?
there's misogyny in the air. more than a whiff.
they'll drag you down with them, if you let them.
don't you raise your voice at me.
where are you headed? can i offer you a ride?
whatever weird tale you're about to tell me, i don't want to know.
i can't believe i let you into my head again.
i can't imagine what that must have been like, all on your own.
i shouldn't be asking you. it must be so hard to talk about.
i don't need your negativity today. just be supportive.
why are you always so nasty to me?
i know that you asked me to be supportive, but i have my qualms.
you can't just lock me in here.
i can see you calculating how much you think you can get away with in 30 minutes.
were you going to tell me?
you like to watch other people, see into their business.
you are our only hope against this darkness.
frightened men will do desperate things.
you know i've always been on your side.
it's what you promised.
fuck me? fuck you!
i will never understood how the fuck you got your job.
i wonder what my last words will be.
you old dog.
i seem so cold, but i have a heart.
things are gonna be different from now on.
i'm fine, i promise. it's just a flesh wound.
you need to learn to knock, cowboy.
you know what they say: the family that swims together, drowns together.
i thought you had forgotten about me.
i'm sorry, i didn't realize you went to medical school.
how about some tea?
i got a joint. let's smoke it.
it shouldn't be that way, but it is. there's no way around it.
you can't control the bad things that happen in life.
we live in a perpetually burning building, and what we must save from it all the time is love.
life is a house of horrors. you should know that better than anyone.
i've always worried about you. you avoid the truth.
i don't understand why i didn't just listen.
you're a good person. you don't deserve this.
it feels so good to finally say all of this out loud.
the pull-out method just doesn't work.
you are always lying.
