Santos half-heartedly threatening him with her knowing krav maga and Whitaker just being like “golly gee Mr. Krav Maga sure does sound like a neat fellow.” I need a spinoff sitcom of all their roommate shenanigans ASAP

What I think: Thrawn alliances is a comedy but it's also a tragedy because thrawn KNOWS its anakin, he can see it in every move vader makes, and everyone around him pretends anakin died, including anakin, and he doesn't know why. He doesn't know the full story of anakins fall, but a long time ago he met a jedi who was probably the first jedi who wasn't trying to kill him, and did a whole lot of other batshit things instead. But even though anakin was impulsive and vengeful and singlehandedly destroyed a planets environment, he was a good man and an honorable warrior and that's all that mattered to thrawn, and obviously thrawn admired anakin enough that he thought the mention of anakins name could get him clemency from the Empire. Instead anakins walking around in an oubliette and he's seven inches taller and hates thrawns guts but obviously he's STILL anakin skywalker and it's obvious, why does no one else see it? So he continues to bring up anakins name so that vader will stop being a rage-filled bloodthirsty idiot and stop pretending his old self is gone, thrawn keeps trying to unearth anakins chutzpah and his valor and his anakin-ness, and it's not until the epilogue that thrawn has accepted that, one way or another, anakin has gone and there's just a tired, vindictive cyborg in his place

Just thinking about a moment in the finale of Season 2…. Right before losing our dear Tech. I felt like Hunter has lost all his composer when they were hanging in the rail car. He was literally yelling at everyone. Yelled at Echo asking why they weren’t moving. Yelled at Tech that they needed power. Yelled at Wrecker to get Tech back on the rail car. They were in a no-win situation and Hunter’s own words from Season 1 Finale were coming back to haunt him. “A real leader protects his squad.” Hunter was panicking. There was no way out. They were trapped. He was doing everything he could to protect his squad, his family. Shooting back at the other rail car. Shooting back at the ships coming at them. They had to get out of this. They had to. Omega needs them all. 🥺

This moment just sticks in my mind. The moment we lose Tech still hurts. The moment right after when Omega is screaming to go back for Tech and Hunter is holding her back. Echo trying his darnedest to get them out of there. And Wrecker. Oh Wrecker. In complete shock. Standing at the opening of the rail car and staring at the void where Tech fell. Oblivious to everything around him.

So many emotions in these few moments. 😔
